OKC exceeded expectations by many many miles. They were supposed to be not that good, certainly not a #1 seed. So for them to do this this early and have so much draft capital, I love their future still & Shai will be a star for many years to come

Getting constantly run off the three can make a player rush a wide open shot. People don't want to credit the Mavs defense, but it wasn't "regression to the mean"--it was the Mavs consistent defensive pressure got into the Thunder's heads.

Ive never been more proud to be a Mavericks fan in my life. Living in Boston I'd always get berated by Boston fans for being a mavs fan, hell id get laughed at by non boston fans as well. I dont think ive ever seen a mavs fan in person and i wouldn't expect there to be a lot of them in the first place as if you live in Texas or something, you'd more likely be inclined to like the spurs more or maybe even the rockets for that matter. However i never gave up hope. While i don't really like doncic that much im not stupid to not think he hasn't been the best think that has ever happened to us other than Dirk and when people thought we did bad fromt office moves i never gave up hope. Considering what some people think of the Mavs, two Conference finals in three years is pretty good and depending on the outcome of t-wolves and Nuggets we might have a shot to make the finals. Sure way may be beat by Boston but its still a fun thought. Anyways im proud of my boys, they've been with me for like 6 years of my life. (If you couldn't tell from that, im pretty young)

This team had a trio of Luka, Brunson and Kristaps. Going into the playoffs seeing the years Brunson and Kristaps had they looked dumb messing that up... and now they are here. Wild. I think this is their ceiling tho but they did just beat the 1 seed and beat LAC who were ranked higher than them too so who knows.

Honestly I'm kind of surprised that for as poorly run as the Mavs have been from time to time (no hate, but let's not lie especially with the tail end of Dirk's career) they generally make good coaching hires. I feel like this is further validated with the fact that the Pacers are in a game 7 with the Knicks.

I think historically speaking he’s been considered closer to an “average” defender than Luka has been, but when you talk about what kyrie brings to the table you would never mention his defense… but you almost have to now
They never were bad defenders though. It’s mostly an effort thing.
Luka does well with shifty guards, it's when it's someone who can just blow by him is when he gets cooked but even then they pack the paint and they actually have a front court now so it's not like if the POA defender is beat they're fucked. Mavs now can actually run people off the 3 point line because they have the backline.

As an OKC fan, I’m honestly happy we’re competitive again. Tough pill to swallow but playoff experience and lack of size as our weaknesses showed this series especially because we weren’t doing the other things that masked those weaknesses. This Dallas team looks scary, and everyone seems to be firing on all cylinders. I’m excited to see them next round

Props to dallas as an okc fan, they are a fantastic basketball team. The thunder have a fantastic future especially with shai leading them he was the inly reason this series was even competitive. Chet and jdub especially let us down but dallas effectively guarded both players. Thwy gonna be tough to beat.

I’m just excited to see what free agency/ trades they go for this and next summer.
They have a lot of different options they can chose from. They could get a star, just keep trading up in the draft, or get a few “star” role players to fill out their holes. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if a big trade happens with either the Cavs or Nets

As a Thunder fan, this game showed our two biggest weaknesses: our rebounding and youth. We blew it at the end with all of the offensive rebounds and our youth allowed them to go in such big runs and to us blowing the lead
