The sounds not great on this but I was there, I've been to a lot of concerts over the years and this was probably the one I've enjoyed more than any other - great musicians and singers, absolute bliss. Thanks John, hurry back to Northern Ireland.

That is the truth his songs are very much. Like. A rockwellian portrait
The illustrative. Lyrical content . Of JP is second to none
He was not only a clever writer of songs he shed his light on aspects of. Life that a lot of people back when didn't realize it the vets who. Overdosed or became delapitated physically or even in many cases. Destitute. Or homeless. And not to mention all the. Ones who were sickened terribly for life. By chemicals such as agent orange fortunately the military has since made some much needed improvements and to leave that. Hanging for any amount of time. Is amoral considering all the vast fortunes drained into it for weaponry. And such but not taking proper care of veterans. Is. False and or disingenuous at best to. Stand as a soldier is a life long burden even if the time wasn't long some changes are completely irrevocable

I never got to meet old JP or shake his hand or whatever but I feel like I know he would be a good friend to have and I get the sense he has been around and seen a good amount of cool stuff th the music he wrote the profound even poignant to be quite sure and not just smart lyrics they were clever though . They speak to a part of yourself you had lost all connection to and lying dormant for years and suddenly back up and ready to go. He is a humble man I feel that from the lyrics as well empathy for others and I would suggest that he was a. Decent ethically principled man I don't know it but the indepth consideration for which were the lyrics it is tremendous the energy from which he might've been to render the such contemporary. As in
"Timelessness" he really wanted to say hi and had no difficulty in expressing the profundity of emotion overcome a lot of people back b4 I was a twinkle in my father's eye
But my discovery late in the game was nonetheless potent and incredibly relevant to the point of my life when it'd come to me
God bless John prine and the spirit essence of him being righteous and gave what he had to give for the future

There is a lot going on. Right there, on stage. If ANYONE earned the right to play with him, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires did.

Great to hear! John simply was one of the absolute best lyric songwriters. Way more truly insightful then Dylan and as great with words in his own way.

Josh Turner and a couple of his friends do a cover that is much better than John himself.
