  • General Sessions Judge Jim Todd wants Metro Police Chief John Drake to know that the judiciary is aware of issues with the bonding system. And Judge Todd recommends ways to improve it.

    "I'm aware of the frustration" getting victimized by a repeat offender that you have set free multiple times is not "frustration" it's a dereliction of your duty to uphold the law and protect the public.

      No, no, no. It's just bad "optics". The guy he let out on bail for $325 who tried to kidnap a 15 yo. Want me to break out the Ouija board because he's supposed to divine that a felon with a rap sheet a mile long "allegedly" did what he always does again? He couldn't come off as more defensive because he's the problem.

    That was a judge? No wonder the city's gone to hell. I thought it was a defense attorney. Thanks for documenting one of the parts of the problem.

    Its common to illegally detain children with no bond or due process for those children and families.
