The BS you have to put up with on a daily basis, in my opinion, would be considered Godlike. Also my dad passed some years ago and all I had left from him was my 1st car that he bought me while I was in college. I had let my mom borrow it real quick and some lady T-boned her and hit my car right in the front driver side wheel. The axle was completely bent and the car was no longer drive-able. The day the insurance company came to tow it, I’m not gunna lie I was super emotional and sad. All the memories you have and stuff. So I really sympathize with this young lady. There’s nothing like a daughter losing her dad.

I didn't like the girl calling your company claiming you damaged her car, that was vindictive. I appreciate that you were honest with the police officer and made sure to tell him you didn't want the guy to get into trouble but to just calm down.
You were honest at the complex and while you were editing that you didn't handle the situation the best. That takes integrity to own up to your mistakes. I applaud you for that.

I can respect a man that admits his mistakes, way more than a man who refuses to admit he is wrong. As I see it you put effort into de-escalation the situation twice, that kid was the one who was being unreasonable. And I think you did right by refusing to press charges on that kid. Having a wrecked car in your driveway of a house you own is one thing, but in an apartment complex is totally different. There are also a lot of cities that will tow a wreck out of your driveway or yard as a fire hazard.
