3 Mechanics I Want Back In Monster Hunter Wilds

- The title pretty much says it all. These are three minor mechanics I felt brought a good bit of life to Monster Hunter World that were sorely missed in Rise, so I'd like to see them back in Wilds when it's released.

Yeah, I miss walking alongside the monsters. It was so cool! I loved seeing them just do their day-to-day thing. Especially Paolumu.
Yeah. I've followed every monster through the biome instead of hunt them at least once to see how they act in nature.
I'd definitely love to see these come back too. Especially getting to walk around with some Monsters and just observe them. As these guys are living creatures and seeing them just doing their normal thing, instead of trying to make you their latest snack, is just so cool. Especially with how majestic some monsters look in certain areas.
I know, right? It's one thing to just read about how they act and behave in the wild, but another thing entirely to SEE it with your own eyes.
@@saiblade4754 Here's hoping we can!
Fully agree with everything here, especially the “monsters that don’t try to murder you on sight,” bit. I get why Rise is like that being a portable fast paced game but I really do like the ability to walk alongside monsters and see what they do in their day to day lives.
Do hope they “buff” the monsters to help them keep up with our hunters though, as we continue to gain new tools the monsters need new tools as well to keep up and pose a good challenge (at least for higher tier monsters).
Yeah, sometimes you just want a calm, peaceful experience seeing the monsters behave as they would when not in combat. Some of the stuff they do is really fascinating.
That would be interesting.
I haven't played Rise yet, so I had no idea these features weren't in the game! They feel like such no-brainers, now that they were introduced! I agree with you, I would like to see these features come back
@@PedroKing19 Oh. Well, sorry for spoiling that for you. But yes, they're not in the game and they are sorely missed and wanted back.
I think the one thing that Monster Hunter has not tried out yet, but could be something very interesting, is the implementation of a human villain. We never actually got that. But I would like to see like a rogue monster hunter, a villain monster hunter business person, or like a poacher. Just for one game though.
@@manzac112 We KIND OF had Manelger in Stories and Zellard in Stories 2, but they weren't the ultimate final bosses. And that IS a spin-off series.
Passive Monster
Invasive Monsters
Mantles
Aggressive Monsters
Bring back the Tonfas and the Magnet Spike
Bring back underwater combat
@@manzac112 Yes to ALL of that!
Yeah World's Turf Wars are so much cooler and easier to get than Rise's.
The Mantles are what I wanna see back, especially since you wanna hide after running out of potions. Also the Clutch Claw.
I might have high expectations, but I really wanna see a weapon from Frontier be introduced to the main story.
@@captainvalkyrie999 Glad you agree.
Well, based on one of the weapon trailers, we actually will be getting Mantles back, so that's good.
Might be asking a bit much, but yeah, I'd like to see that, too.
I think it'd be cool if they added a mechanic where you could use your weapon on the steed creature.
That might be cool, but this is a discussion on RETURNING mechanics.
Hope those comeback too
Glad you agree.
New in the world Warhammer 40k Kill team has revealed a new edition with two new teams, Tempestits Scions (Black ops elite guardsmen) with jet packs and Vespid Stingwings (alien bugs without a hivemind that are allies to the tau and have no thumbs using neutron weapons, and now plasma launchers, Flamethrowers, and Railguns) I've only played rise, so my opinions are based on that.#1 Agreed, I like the idea but felt the low chance of happening made the turf wars and traps less cool. #2 I like this idea, makes it feel more like a world and less like a safari/payed hunt. #3 I have no opinion on this.
@@MasterrangerABRThat sounds fun. And glad you agreed on the first two.
