  • Didn't even notice I hit 30 PSI on one of the first accelerations, you can watch the boost if you are full screen on a computer. The gt2052v can go way up there if you put enough fuel to it.

      It is so much fun to drive, I'm addicted to turbo noises 😂

    I wonder how this would work with a 1.8t.

      I have heard of guys swapping them, they make great power with tuning and turbo upgrades, only downside is minimal mpg upgrade over the factory engine.

    Have you ever done a Audi 3.0 TDI swap ??

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  4 месяца назад

      I've looked into it, but parts are just too limited to invest the time in. I have so many options with the smaller engines they are just way easier to maintain

    Hey! Looking to do this swap myself. What did it cost you all said and done? I will be doing all the labour myself.

      @TDISwaps  2 года назад +1

      If you go to my RUclips page there is a cost break down video. But reusing lots of parts and not doing any major upgrades or rebuilding and sell parts off the donor car I have $2k-3k in each of the swaps as far as engine and parts.

    Do you know approximately how many miles you are getting from full to empty ?

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  2 года назад

      So my tank has a dent in it lol, I usually fill up around a 1/4 and that's 12-14 gallons, usually 250-300 miles

    How much vibration are you getting compared to oem?

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  Год назад

      You mean compared to the gas engine? Or the VW engine in the car? I would compare it to a 12 valve Cummins in the original dodge, there's definitely diesel vibration, but I don't mind it

      @@TDISwaps yea ive heard guys with 4bt cummins shaking the bolts loose on tjs

      @@6738 oh yeah a 4bt is the worst for vibration, these tdi's are smooth compared to that

    whats your mpg like and what's your low in torque?

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  3 года назад +1

      I don't have exact torque numbers, but the tune is for about 300-320 ft lbs, if I go 65 mph the jeep gets about 25 mpg, 75-80 mph drops it to 20-22 mpg

      @@TDISwaps that’s awesome! Keep it up bud, I like your videos. Hopefully one day soon, I would like to do a BHW swap on my Jeep JKU.

      @@deathpool94 ya that will be awesome! I wish BHWs were easier to find, but I'm pleased with these ALHs, especially for the price

      @@TDISwaps at what RPM’s is that? I ask because I have a 32rh and trying to figure out if it’ll be worth it.

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  2 года назад

      @@98beasley because of my mountainous terrain I run about 3000 RPM on the highway, any lower than 2700 RPM and I have to downshift on the hills for EGTs, so 3000 rpm @75 MPH is about perfect, flatland I could use another higher gear, but I don't see much of that ha ha. I don't think the 32rh/re will handle the torque of the TDI though unless you kept the torque levels down

  • @shanestewart2184
    @shanestewart2184 4 года назад

    Is that a ALH code engine and is it stock?

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  4 года назад +2

      It is an ALH, stock internals with head studs, injectors, tune, big turbo
