Love how wide eyed and adventurous this guy is. He's a savage traveler. Too bad he has to risk his life to bring us these recordings. Like he's sacrificing his life to bring us close to experiences most of us will never know.
A stupid and unnecessary risk in my humble opinion is the sunburns and the skin cancer that these may cause. Use some damn sun screen and stay out of the sun at 12:00! Even the locals stay in the shadow during these times and here comes the whitest boy and sits in the burning sun^^°

Kurt (and some other youtubers) are great for the world - showing parts of countries most people don't visit, probably because they are AFRAID. Be smart and be safe, but taking these adventures are some of the best times and memories you can make. People everywhere are friendly and just like everyone else: trying to get along and enjoy life. Get out there and explore, meet people, and enjoy! Great videos!

Damn Kurt, you're the ultimate adventurer, not even me as a native Dominican from the southern part of the island would dare going to Bahia de las Águilas on a motorcycle.
@Savvy that's a route for 4x4 SUV's, don't know what would happen if you get a flat tired in the wilderness. I wouldn't do it in spite of the amazing views.
Kurt your the man! This Dominican Republic series is awesome. I love how you know not to get finessed 🤣 this man know his way around the island without knowing!!
My country is beautiful! Thank you Kirt for showcasing this beautiful Island to your fan base. Despite all the internal social problems we have, its one of the most complete and awesome places to live. Im sure you can vouch for that. We have it all!
@@buddhastl7120 Depends on where you decide to live. All countries and mayor cities have their good and bad areas. No kidnaping and asking for ransome here like in some South American countries if that's what you mean. You will see the normal chain snatching and purse stealing petty thieves here and there. But again, it depends where you go and at what time of day. If you don't go out flashing money and expensive things like an idiot you're good. To live here you must be wise and learn the system. Dominicas can be too smart for their own good. Advantageous all the time if you let them. Its the situation here. Everyone is hungry for money. Minimum wage is 200 dollars a month. 70% of the population earns that or less.
I was not really thinking of sharing it but i think i will do it now. Me and my girlfriend just came back from the Dominican Republic from a 15 days journey with backpacks. We traveled from Punta Cana (airport) all the way to Pedernales (border Haiti) and al the way up to Samana. And i dont agree with people here saying that ‘its so dangerous’ ‘wow what a daredevil’ omg you are so brave’.. We walked, we took so much guagua’s (small local wrecked busses) car’s, other vehicles, motorcycles,.. The people in the DP are SUPER friendly.. i never felt insecure for a MINUTE! They are helpfull, smilling all the time. Relaxed and comunicative. We went from Barahona to even the smallest town in El Limón. I think its unfair to tell people its unsafe and ‘not for tourists’. Dont be afraid of the unknown. Dont let no one tell you ‘you shouldnt do it’ . Just go and see what is going to happen. The people are just very poor and dont speak english thats te biggest reason why it ‘could’ be akward at times, thats all! Btw: the place you see where Kurt is driving to with his bike is called Eco lodge Cueva de Las Aquilas. Its acctually a glamping camping with fancy tents and bars. I was there last week. There is not a real road but its no big deal to. We went there with a guagua and payed 2000pesos (30€) for a 3h!!! Drive :) Ps: if you think DP is dangerous.. i live in Brussels, agression and narrow minded people are for free here :) Feel free to ask questions if you like! I’ll be very happy to answer them about this beautiful island!!
You have to see, that people are shackled to fear, so if somebody is scared, he will conjure the bad spirit of the island. I´ve been to dp too, the only worse experience, was when we wed stranded in santo domingo, we missed the bus to barahona and had to stay somewhere near the station, we moved around, cops with big guns, saw my girl peeing, they want to get us for sleeping outside or having no hotel, something like that, i was not scared, i talked to the most professional cop of them 3 and we could move on. After that we met 2 gang guys, my girlfriend was scared. But they decided to be friendly. Its always like with hyaenas, if they smell fear they get funky. After that we stoped at a bar to get some water and asked the way for the bus. The oldest guy of them told us to sit down and talk, he had charisma and his right hand definetly killed people, i saw it in his eyes. We wanted to go after some drinks, he wanted us to wait.. he drove us to the bus station with a fat ass porsche cayene with beige leather seats and TV´s everywhere.. We took the bus and slept like babys and awoke in barahona like in paradise.
Damn how many languages do you speak? You seem to be pretty fluent in English, which isn't a language native to Belgium I believe. Also you must be decent at Spanish to have traveled that far, so that's fluency in at least 2 languages, and at least conversational with another.
@@aw3someisme469 Thank you, its nice to hear that. Actually in Belgium we do speak 3 languages Because we have the French side the Flemish side and the German part. The english is mostly learned because we dont dub the english programs on Tv. We use the subtitles. So learning English is learned from a young age. And about mij Spanish, i can only say i few words. For most of the time we were trying to depict things or pointing at objects to tell what we needed/wanted. Very funny at times.. But we also had a few times that we just could talk english!
When you were talking about only being able to get there by boat, I was confused as the Italians told me that you can just go by bike. Decent of you to tell people who might go that they don't need to pay over $60.
Love the support of presidente and drinking the local beer! Tu Español Esta Muy bien! Good for you that visited the south area of my country! Thanks for showing that DR is not only the touristic Punta Cana or the crowded Santo Domingo!
One of my favorite beaches in the DR! Really loving this Dominican series btw very authentic and genuine. Well done spotting the scam $3,700 is way too much for that little boat ride so many people fall for that! For the viewers watching that are interested and lodging and accommodation, that tiki bar you got the presidente at is actually a hotel called Eco del Mar. They have wooden cabins, luxury tents and then regular camping tents basically right on the sand in front of the sea. Highly recommend it if you go with a group and split the cost you will have the time of your lives! The chef is an argentinian guy named Facu and the owner is a crazy old man that wears a captain hat and loves to party at night! p.s. Bizcocho means cake! and the fried bread you tried is called Yaniqueque and its a common street food all over the DR but you wouldnt have it alone usually they will put a fried egg with salami (local sausage) on top with a mayo and ketchup sauce.
Kurt, I really give you credits for make all this journeys mostly alone and deliver such a good content to see people and culture of the countries. Greetings from Germany my friend. I'm happy to found your youtube channel. Keep up the good work! 👍

I watch a lot of travel vlogs but ain't none of them like Kurt. I respect the work and the way he takes risk. Welcome to la Isla! Make sure you see the countryside as well!
I really enjoyed your video, and found all your comments so interesting. I have been to Bahia de las Aguilas many times through the years and I have a few comments for the people that would like to go. Although the boat ride seems expensive, the price is for round trip, the boat will take you there and pick you up whenever you want a few hours later. The boat ride is a good 15 minutes each way and you go by some incredible coral cliffs, which he missed seeing. The place where you catch the boat, where he bought the beer is called Las Cuevas, not Cabo Rojo. Don't even think about taking a normal car to Bahia de las Aguilas because, something Kurt did not mention is you have to go down, and come back up a hill that only a 4x4 vehicle can manage. He briefly says that his little bike could barely go up and he had to try twice. He also forgot to mention that Bahia de las Aguilas is a National park, the 150 peso entrance fee is for entering the park, not for the beach. You can take a regular car to las Cuevas and ride the boat to the beach. Cabo Rojo is a beach about 5 km before las Cuevas and is also very beautiful and totally free and easy to get to. Pedernales is the closest city almost an hour drive from Las Cuevas. Pedernales is about a 5 hour drive From Santo Domingo and 8 hour drive from Puntacana. Very few foreigners go there because the distance and total lack of infrastructure. No nice hotels, no restaurants.
Good comments, I did not think the price was such a rip off, they have to maintain the boat and pay for the fuel etc. It is nice to know it is a park I would love to go someday.
@@bnice2all Yes I have been there and going there in February next year. It’s beautiful. Each to their own. DR has the most diverse and insane terrain. when people say "i want to see the ocean before i die" should really be aiming towards a beach like this. doesnt really compare to dark green or black water and jagged rocks.

Breathtaking beaches! I can't believe how clear that water is. So beautiful.
This Kurt Caz is a genius in his own way. These videos have been out there for a while, but still
entertaining and informative.
I got laid off last March. Utube came up with the algorithm for this channel. Hopefully Kurt is making money from a new subscriber, that let the commercials play !
We have a few other beaches of that quality: Saona Island, Palmilla Beach, Cayo Levantado and even Catalina Island; hope u get to go to any of those;) Thanks for showing Beautiful ( not- so-famous part of) Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
Love how wide eyed and adventurous this guy is. He's a savage traveler. Too bad he has to risk his life to bring us these recordings. Like he's sacrificing his life to bring us close to experiences most of us will never know.
I agree
A stupid and unnecessary risk in my humble opinion is the sunburns and the skin cancer that these may cause. Use some damn sun screen and stay out of the sun at 12:00! Even the locals stay in the shadow during these times and here comes the whitest boy and sits in the burning sun^^°

He’s the urban version of Bear Grylls. Instead of dangerous animals, he does dangerous neighborhoods, which are probably more dangerous than animals.
Perhaps suncreams causes cancer too. Many chemicals and carginogens in them. I'm sure he knows his body well and what he can handle :)
Dominican Republic is actually a good place to live, everywhere in the world you will find people like this.
Greetings from San Cristobal DR
It’s so hot 🥵 8
@Hailey Hedland they didn’t say it’s like the western world, just that it is good place to live. You first worlders with your superiority complex really can’t imagine that there is more than misery in the developing world.

@Hailey Hedland if you think all the 1 world countrys dont have problems you are in a denial 😂🤣🤣, so many europeans and usa citizens moved to latin america to live

You're a legend for actually spelling this place out for us so we could take a virtual vacation there. Gracias!
Kurt please go visit St John in the US Virgin Islands , the way to get there with a ferry from St Thomas the water over there is absolutely insanely beautiful, it’s a national park so no traffic and beautiful beaches not too many people there another island kind of deserted is Dominica, lots of jungles to visit with locals

It is very beautiful. So few people can enjoy such an inspiring place. It is a place to be proud of calling home.
The best 3 years of my life was living in your country. Beautiful place, my 2nd home
Is it safe for a solo American to live in?
@@buddhastl7120 If you don't speak Spanish it is a problem indeed.
Drive :)
Ps: if you think DP is dangerous..
i live in Brussels, agression and narrow minded people are for free here :)
Feel free to ask questions if you like!
Actually in Belgium we do speak 3 languages
Because we have the French side the Flemish side and the German part.
Gracias hermano por resaltar la belleza de mi hermoso país 🙏🇩🇴

What’s the beach called??

Sx’xsmwospoeeo o I love you buddy
I’ve been to the DR 5 times. It’s the most stunning piece of the earth I’ve been to.
I find it crazy that there are people out there that have never seen the sea or a beach before. I grew up in a seaside town and find it wholesome when people get excited about visiting the seaside
@@Bizlok21 Same… I live in Barcelona so you just get used to having the ocean right in front of you, it’s crazy to think that some people just doesn’t see it in their whole life…
