Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you all have a very blessed Advent and Christmas season!
Here is our version of the classic Christmas Song, "Adeste Fideles"
We hope you enjoy it:)
My brother arranged the piece. My family sang it.
Please no bad language in the comments. We want this to be family friendly:)
Lyrics:
Adeste fideles læti triumphantes,
Venite, venite in Bethlehem.
Natum videte
Regem angelorum:
Venite adoremus (3×)
Dominum.
Deum de Deo, lumen de lumine
Gestant puellæ viscera
Deum verum, genitum non factum.
Venite adoremus (3×)
Dominum.
Cantet nunc io, chorus angelorum;
Cantet nunc aula cælestium,
Gloria, gloria in excelsis Deo,
Venite adoremus (3×)
Dominum.
Ergo qui natus die hodierna.
Jesu, tibi sit gloria,
Patris æterni Verbum caro factum.
Venite adoremus (3×)
Dominum.
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant!
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels:
O come, let us adore Him, (3×)
Christ the Lord!
Here is our version of the classic Christmas Song, "Adeste Fideles"
We hope you enjoy it:) Merry Christmas everyone! Also, check out this petition started by one of our fans to have us do some music for the new LOTR series by Amazon! bit.ly/32ZgzSo
Clamavi De Profundis now do Veni Veni Emmanuel
to date i have NEVER been disappointed by any of your songs and i hope i never am. you guys are the best out there Amazon would be VERY lucky to have you do music for them.
Votre musique m'a vraiment touchée
Vous avez des magnifiques voix graves comme aigus, des voix comme ça on en fait plus... Bravo et merci pour cette magnifique pièce
Clamavi De Profundis, superlatives are never enough to describe your work. Please do Da Pacem Domine and Salve Regina. Merry Christmas to you and your families.
Clamavi De Profundis Excellent work on this one, God bless you this Advent and have a Merry Christmas!
Beautiful version of a beautiful hymn! Clamavi de Profundis's blend of Middle Earth and Christianity (a natural blend if there ever was one) is truly second to none.
There’s nothing relating to Middle Earth in this one. Did you just mean in general? Because then I agree.
@@sunwalkeredaaga4154 Yes, I meant in general. They have a habit of going back and forth between Middle Earth music and traditional Christian hymns, which is exactly what makes them unique!
@@matheusarruda6462 That and J.R.R. Tolkien himself is a fervent Catholic. His writings on the Eucharist and the Blessed Sacrament are exceptionally beautiful.
Matheus Arruda indeed. I can't help but hear the dwarves of Thorin's company and imagine them trekking along toward Bethlehem haha
Beautiful 😍 love the Latin
praised be Jesus Christ!
Now and forever!
you people are so amazing, and I love this carol 1000 times more now. It always brings tears of joy to my eyes, and your version has not failed to rouse that affect.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, CLAMAVI!
That moment when you realises that Clamavi de Profundis released exact kind of song that you requested under previous video. Thank you kindly for such a wonderful Christmas present for all of your audience!
28 SECONDS ago?! Wow, that must be a first, how lucky
i would love to hear your take on "toss a coin to your witcher" from the netflix series, guess you could make someone very individual out of it.
This is my favourite. And this is the most realistic version of this hymn. But when are you guys going to do The lay of Nimrodel? Please consider. I find that particular song very rejuvenating and peaceful...
One of these years, they should do "Veni, Veni, Emmanuel". It was so beautiful from their Christmas Medley video and its a shame they haven't done a video on the entire song.
you called it- just came out this morning
It is here!
You were right good sir!
They sure did!
They did ^_^ they are like a wishing well... whatever like and comment also subscription you put... they are making that wish come true.
My late grandfather used to sing english carols with me so i can learn the language. O Come all ye faithful was our favourite. God bless you Clamavi de Profundis! So many memories! Merry merry Christmas, rest in peace grandpa!
Battle Owl, God's rest to your grandpa.

Now I want elvish versions of all their songs.
That private school moment when you realise you can understand all the words in Latin
Same here but homeschooled
@@hayleymarse2853 You rock.
Same, but public schooled, I just got one of the rare good ones. lol
@@beccadabeast5013 haha thanks
Two years of classical Latin here lol
Imagine telling an ancient Roman that the main reason anybody would know their language in 2000 years would be because of a guy they crucified. #mindblown
Great job on this song and all your other Christmas selections.
You're right!!!
Honey , as a Latin , I can tell you the Urbs Æterna was created to spread the Light of Christ .Roma converted and that made it gret .
Not just a guy. ;-)
Also biologist
And not just that, but their philosophy would one day help to communicate the great mystery that heaven had made its dwelling on earth - “natum videte Regem angelorum”.
When the Paladin converts the entire Dwarf Hold, you get this masterpiece!
This is comment is gold 😂👌
That'd be me ;)
The full Latin version?!
You guys never cease to impress ❤
Perfect Medieval Latin! What a delight! And the words are there in front of us! Who could fail to sing along and weep with joy?
This channel is a godsend!
Merry Christmas to all!
I always forget that Latin songs are sung with an Ecclesiastical Latin pronunciation... it catches me off guard
I know, right? Honestly I hate how ecclesiastical pronunciation sounds - CHEY-les-tea-um? Please. KAI-les-tea-um.
@@HubrisInc Complain to the Italians about that, either way, Latin is beautiful.
@@aureliusausgustinus1332 more like one specific pope, when original way of pronunciation was being spread amongst the masses the pope got a question what wll be the official pronunciation of ecclesiastical latin and he went with Italian even though practicaly everyone else supported original way.... WHY
@@Rhosus Still, I care not either way, Classical or Ecclesiastical. But since the official language of the Church is Ecclesiastical Latin, might as well deal with documents of the Church in the official way mandated by the Church and just revert to Classical when dealing with Pagan Roman writings.
@@Rhosus Because it's always preferable to continue a living linguistic tradition than to try to revive a dead one. Let the dead bury the dead. I personally abhor the crass linguistic revisionism that is Erasmian pronunciation (of either Greek or Latin) and the modern academic pronunciations used are even more of an abomination; I utterly refuse to use revisionist pronunciations in any context, much to the chagrin of some of my classics professors back in the day.
This is the most triumphant sounding Christmas hymn. Always one of my favorites.
That moment when you can understand the Latin almost word for word
Gotta love romantic languages.

@@Anankin12 yes... That's what I just said.
Knowing English and Spanish basically gives you Latin for free xD
Hearing you singing this i would really love to hear your version of A Hymn of St Columba.
So far my favorite version of this song is the one sung in the Warhammer 40.000 game chaos Gate here it is know as Word Bearers March.
Gloria in excelsis Deo, Brothers and Sisters ^^
This song reinvigorated my faith. Thank you.
My father was an alter boy in the 40s and 50s, he taught all of us children the latin words to this song but I'd only ever gotten to sing the first verse. It was a pleasure to listen to your lovely voices and experience the full composition. I just finished playing all your Christmas songs to my family as we clean up after our feast and play cards. Thank you for all you produce and I hope your family had a wonderful Christmas.
I sang this at the end of Candle Mass this morning at the FSSP parish where I go. This is beautiful beyond words. Thank you so much.
God bless the FSSP
Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, goodwill towards all. Merry Christmas everyone. Please do Joy to the World. It needs cheering up.
*Incoherent Squeaking* Oh my gosh! There's a thread of "He Is Born, The Holy Child" in there! Please please please do an English version of that carol?! Our entire family loves your songs *and* that carol, and the only good English version we can find of it is from freaking VeggieTales! (No offense to VeggieTales, but it sort of falls short of par.) Thank you for your amazing music! Keep up the good work!
Emocionante! Muito obrigado!
Daqui do Brasil, desejo a todos vocês um feliz e santo Natal.
(Amazing! Thank you very much. From Brazil, I wish you all a happy and blessed Christmas).
Again so beautiful! When y’all gonna go on tour?!?

I will be starting a Bachelor of Theology next year and this is a great addition to my music library when I study.
I'm also in that field. In a year I'll be taking classes in Koine Greek
How was your first year what with Covid and all?
@@tuttiflooti Since I'm in Brisbane, Australia, I spent most of 2020 and half of 2021 online, but during the second half of 2021, I'm back on campus, but still have online classes.
You all should keep this in mind for next Christmas (or just later this Christmas season...)
This is a poem Tolkien wrote for Christmas. Would be awesome to hear you work your miracles of for this beautiful little text :)
NOEL
by J. R. R. Tolkien
Grim was the world and grey last night:
The moon and stars were fled,
The hall was dark without song or light,
The fires were fallen dead.
The wind in the trees was like to the sea,
And over the mountains’ teeth
It whistled bitter-cold and free,
As a sword leapt from its sheath.
The lord of snows upreared his head;
His mantle long and pale
Upon the bitter blast was spread
And hung o’er hill and dale.
The world was blind,
the boughs were bent,
All ways and paths were wild:
Then the veil of cloud apart was rent,
And here was born a Child.
The ancient dome of heaven sheer
Was pricked with distant light;
A star came shining white and clear
Alone above the night.
In the dale of dark in that hour of birth
One voice on a sudden sang:
Then all the bells in Heaven and Earth
Together at midnight rang.
Mary sang in this world below:
They heard her song arise
O’er mist and over mountain snow
To the walls of Paradise,
And the tongue of many bells was stirred
in Heaven’s towers to ring
When the voice of mortal maid was heard,
That was mother of Heaven’s King.
Glad is the world and fair this night
With stars about its head,
And the hall is filled with laughter and light,
And fires are burning red.
The bells of Paradise now ring
With bells of Christendom,
And Gloria, Gloria we will sing
That God on earth is come.
I really hope they see your comment. This is so beautiful.
We did
Surely this song came from God. I’m always shook to the core by it.
I'm so glad I found this channel. God Bless and Merry Christmas!
Every year my appreciation for this hymn grows and I realize how much better it is in Latin.
Only the Birth of God as a man could inspire such beauty.
OMG. I was just listening to this song a few hours ago in my Latin class. Absolutely beautiful 🙏🏻❤
Absolutely magnificent! It is always splendid to be able to listen to such beautiful music like yours. Laudate Clamavi de Profundis! Laudate!
A merry Christmas!
What sort of Grinch gives this a thumbs down?
Beautiful. As always. I'm yet to hear a piece by them that I didn't like. I wonder if it's even possible to not like their music. 🤔
I love all your music! Also please do a portion of Chesterton's Ballad of the White Horse!
Beautiful and interesting. Because I learned more Latin verses. Where I live, we usually sing three verses, the first and two others you did not sing:
En grege relicto, humiles ad cunas
Vocati pastores approperant
Et nos ovanti gradu festinemus!
Venite, etc.
Aeterni Parentis, splendorem aeternum
Velatum sub carne videbimus
Deum infantem pannis involutum.
Venite, etc.
Wow! This is beautiful! I've never hear Latin before! I'm Christian and it's been hard for me to find any good Christian music.
If I could make a request... I think it'd be wonderful if your family would be willing to sing more Christian songs! You know... More like the older hymns... "I'll fly away," "Swing low sweet chariot," maybe even, "Be thou my vision"? That last one's my favorite!
I haven't heard these very much sense my granpa died when I was little.
He'd sing them to me all the time.
I miss that...

Fun fact, this song was sometimes referred to as the "Portuguese Hymn" after the Duke of Leeds, in 1795, heard a version of it sung at the Portuguese embassy in London. The song is also sometimes credited to King John IV of Portugal

My French is not so great, but I think I know just enough (with help from knowing Latin) to understand what you're saying.
Merry Christmas from the United States, and from a fellow Catholic. Through Christ, we will overcome the Masons.
Maybe one day, I can respond in your language instead of my barbarian mutt language.

This music is also known as the Portuguese Hymn, since it's believed that king John IV made it, and threw out the christian world it became known as such, but i believe the modern rendition is a different version of the original one.
in the begginig was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word become flesh and lived among us full of power and truth.
I've been waiting excitedly for your next Christmas song, and I am utterly impressed. Definitely one of my favorite renditions of Adeste Fideles, perhaps almost on par with Luciano Pavarotti. Totally fantastic and beautiful! Wonderful job! You all continue to sing beautifully and it warms my heart that you continue to sing songs to glorify our Lord. God bless you all!

could you do a version of the song Aragorn sings at the end of the Return of the King? I think it's called Elendil's Song. I'm convinced it would be wonderful. As are your other LOTR songs
Here on the last day of Christmas
Hi from the future. Tomorrow is the Second Sunday of Advent
We sang this song at Christmas Eve mass, part in Latin, part in English, and thanks to this I could actually follow along and get a lot of the Latin
Chills each song!
I never heard the Latin version before and it's beautiful! Thank you for this!
I got chills singing along 😂. Anyone else trying to learn this for a TLM midnight mass this Christmas Eve? Just me then 😂.
Latin is always attributed to ancient holy songs. I'd kill for a rendition of a bawdy, rowdy Latin pub song. I wanna hear the most vulgar ancient Lantin you can find. Internet, I call thee for thine aid!

Great job as always. Whoever you've got on that top vocal line, they have a really solid voice! Initially I came to CDP for the true Bass 2 vocals, but that upper voice (be it treble or soprano) has very much grown on me as I've spent more time listening to your music.
I've been waiting for a good latin rendition for weeks! Yay!
