I have finished making this bag and im here to give some tips to make the journey easier for those of you who come to the comments section first.
First of all the bag turned out absolutely beautiful! I am gonna make more.
This bag tutorial is in a 3 part video and it only shows how to make one side of the bag. Because the other side is the exact same process. Yes you have to make two pieces and join them together. So ultimately you will be watching all three videos 2 times for 2 pieces of the bag.
If you know how to read written instructions, I suggest you start writing down the instructions given in the video as you go along so that
1. you have a "recipe" of this bag for future use
2. You don't have to open youtube again and press play/pause button again and again when you have to make the 2nd piece of the bag or everytime you need to make this bag
For those of you who prefer watching and pausing and playing for learning to make this bag, note the exact location of the stitch, row and especially the minute or seconds of the video when you have to pause your project and want to pick it up at another time because I had to do that. I couldn't finish this bag at one go amd when I came back I forgot where I had stopped.
If you try using any other type of yarn apart from the type she has used in the video, make sure its thick or the strands are double or triple because a thin yarn will give you a miniature bag.

Question, do you think the dimensions listed for this bag is correct? Height of the bag , including handles, only 20 cm or 7.9 inches? Or am I reading this wrong? My 1st bag came out way bigger. Then my 2nd bag had thinner tshirt yarn and I added rows to try and duplicate. Now I'm reading dimensions like huh? 🙂
@@deek6913 that's the crazy part! Even mine (though by sight it looks much smaller than hers) came out some cms bigger. So yeah, her bag looks way bigger than the dimensions given. Hers cannot be just 20cms.

@@deek6913 ugh I hate that. You may have to frog the whole thing and double the strands or just make another side from the new yarn but both options seem so tiring and frustrating!

and how to make a bigger basket a little deeper? can you write down the rows how to do it because i'm just learning :) for example 45cm x 30cm ?
If you want to make the bag wider, you need add more chains at the very first row. For example I did 15 single crochet on the ring. So you can try using 19 stitches.
If you want to make it heighter, you need to add more rows.
If you want to make it deeper, you need to add more rows around the bag, before you crochet both side together.
The bag size is always depend of the yarn and the hook size.
What is the handle measurements?
Question, what should I do if the tshirt yarn isn't as thick as the first skein I bough? I'm trying to duplicate but the bag is smaller. Should I add another row?
