honestly, this helped me SO much because I was using a towel in between and it clearly wasn't getting enough heat, so I'll use parchment paper from now on
The best tutorial available!! I followed the exact method you demonstrated, and my project turned out brilliantly! Adding the shape and measurements before I started was a fantastic tip as Ive always struggled to know exactly how big to make the lettering for my projects. Nice to have an Aussie tutorial as well!!! Thank you!
If I use a normal iron instead of the Cricut one, what temperature should I be setting it at and also, what plastic are you putting above and below the name to avoid the leather from getting burnt. Thank you
I tried it before and a normal iron doesn’t work well. It doesn’t heat evenly so it’s more like a hit or miss type situation because irons usually don’t have specific temperature on them. Plus Cricut has a heat guide for the Easy Press line.
Thank you for the tip of using extra backing pieces to iron onto leatherette. Love the chosen fonts as well. Can you tell me what font you used for “Erin”? It looks different than the others and it is omitted from your list. Thank you!

What about putting a clear coat over the vinyl for extra protection. I personalized my son's leather baseball glove it looked great but there was one corner of one letter that didn't stick correctly. I was thinking of painting a leather-compatible clear coat on top of the lettering to protect it.
Love this tutorial! I hope it’s not too late to start getting my hand on cricut-ing! 😅 which websites is best to order these leatherette products like wallets and so on? Tyia!!
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing, question, do you use any type of sealant over it so it doesn’t eventually peel? Just wondering if you have any suggestions for that
Wow you make it look so simple I’ve had my air 2 machine for 6 month and I’m so intimidated by it but you’ve inspired me to try with your simplicity thank you
Thank you for the great tutorial! I have tried this and I have an small issue of the mark of the transfer film staying on the material. Any way I can do without the mark being there?
Hi Barakath, I usually only have this problem when I'm using the 'sparkly' vinyl. I trim closer to the edge of the design and use leftover 'clean' iron on material instead of the glittery kind. Not sure if this is the answer you were looking for!
Hi, please I need some help. I have followed your exact steps from this video, I'm trying to make a personalised cosmetic/make up bag the material of the bag is Saffiano fine grain with easyweed HTV foil. I have ruined about 4 of these bags and quite a bit of vinyl, the bag gets scolded from the Mini Easy press which is on the lowest setting. I have tried a number of things... pressing the heat on the vinyl for shorter periods, lightly pressing the heat onto the vinyl, circular motion when applying the heat but the vinyl doesn't stick to the surface of the bag. I have to leave the heat on the vinyl/bag for a longer period but this cause the bag to get scolded :-( please help, thank you
Hey! Do you ever find that you have a glue residue outline when you remove the sheet? I have that issue it seems to transfer to the surface and its noticeable.
Thank you so much for all the very useful information. I like watching your videos, you go to the point and I can’t wait to try these. Love the music also!😉
where can you get these things and what are they called? I'm thinking of a printer, an iron, paper, I'd like to try it, I don't know if it can also be done with Christmas balls? And where can you buy such printers and other things, what are they called? thank you
They have been great! I have used mine everyday for the past year to store makeup and the vinyl is exactly as it was. If I had used adhesive vinyl instead of iron on, it would have peeled off already.
@@DIYCraftTutorials Thank you so much for getting back to me! I really thought it would have come off after a year even with HTV, so this is awesome to hear. It will be the perfect gift. Thank you again!
This is great, I can’t wait to try this myself. However, I wanted to try it on Bibles, and they have a smooth surface. So there’s no pattern to show through the foil. Will this still work for me?😮😊
I am so glad to see this video. I have a Mini Easy Press and recently ordered some leatherette. Then I wasn't sure what kind of vinyl to even use. Thank goodness some smart HTV came with my mini but mighty Joy. Can't wait to try. What would you suggest placing on the inside of the item? Some are some flat. TIA❤
Your work is gorgeous. Do you think you can use a Clover mini iron or anything similar instead of using the Mini press to achieve the same result on shoes for example?
This is the BEST cricut tutorial I have found so far! Thank you for taking the time to go through design space slowly!❤️. Well done!

What machine do I need for this ? Hello
@@maribelmaldoando3116 what machine do I need for this or what’s the name of the equipment ?
I love the fact you're Aussie too!
🥰
Great tutorial. I just bought a faux leather diaper backpack for a baby shower and am going to use your video to help me customize it. Thank you!!!
How’d it go and how long did it last?
I just love your manner and, let’s face it, you’re not prattling on like many ‘overseas’ tutorials. Thank you!
😅 Thank you
Do you have a video on how to print Landyards?
Thanks so much for sharing - please can you update the gold foil link as it now goes to an error page. Thanks!
Appreciate the tip on the pattern of the leatherette showing through, big help.
Thank you so much! Beautiful work 🩷✨
I will try to make it for my wedding 🥹🩷
Beautiful! Can I also use the heat transfer vinyl that I use on T-shirts on faux leather? Thanks!
Hello Connie🫶🏾 did you ever try the HTV on these?
The boxes are so cute! Great gift idea

The tape is a heat resistant tape.
Thank you for describing your process in detail! So helpful!
You are so welcome! 💕
Thank you for the tip of using extra backing pieces to iron onto leatherette. Love the chosen fonts as well. Can you tell me what font you used for “Erin”? It looks different than the others and it is omitted from your list. Thank you!
thank you! i wanted to personalize a jewelry case like this and wasn’t sure if i should use permanent or iron on vinyl
Love this!! Now I can customize my handbags!
Your work is gorgeous! Can i know what's the font type and vinyl u used?
Hello.. I wonder if i can used other type of vinyl? Can i not used heat type of vinly?
Hi you can use other vinyl but it will not last long. The heat vinyl will give your project longevity. Hope this helps

Greetings, can I follow this same tutorial on the Faux leather passport covers?
Hi, thank you for your video! I have just one question: can you potentially scratch this vinyl off or is it totally sealed this way?
Can you use cricut foil transfer sheets for leather pouches?
No unfortunately 😔
What heat setting did you use? I have the bigger press.
Can I use regular vinyl? I don't have iron on vinyl
Is there a Cricut machine and accessories which do the same thing but on a bigger format? I would like to design all hardcover book space :)
Thanks for the great video. Do we need to pay for a subscription to use the design software?
No, you only need to pay when you use images that are not free. You are free to use the software itself.
I would like to know if i can use this technique on phone leather cases ?? Please enlighten me 🥲
Muchas gracias supongo q solo con calor se puede personalizar el faux leather
The work is neat and beautifully done
Hi, thanks for a great video! What kind of lighting do you use for your videos?
Can you use a permanent vinyl vs a heat transfer one?
Thank you very much! So clear and easy! Just a question... what brand of HTV do you use or recommend? Thanks a lot!
I use Cricut or Siser HTV mostly 🙂
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing, question, do you use any type of sealant over it so it doesn’t eventually peel? Just wondering if you have any suggestions for that
Also, could I possibly use a heat gun instead of a press? I’m afraid I will leave an imprint of the heat on it?
Thanks so much!!! I would not have known to protect it with leftover transfer paper. Now, I know to save it.
Hello, great tutorial. Can you tell me which font you used on the "Kay" please?
Hi, i really want to learn personalised. Where to buy the cricut machine please. Thanks
I have all links in my description

Wow you make it look so simple I’ve had my air 2 machine for 6 month and I’m so intimidated by it but you’ve inspired me to try with your simplicity thank you
Me too
That's nothing, try 2 years, Lol.
Thanks for sharing...This will help me for a future project
Can i use the adhesive vinyl only? Or it is getting hurt or maybe dose not stuck enough?
Adhesive vinyl unfortunately will just peel off, it’s best to use heat transfer vinyl
Hi! Love this video. Where can we buy material in bulk?
Haii, what kind of vinyl did you used? Thanks for sharing
I used heat transfer vinyl (link in the description)
Is “Kay” in a different font? The “K” in Valentine Vibes looks different. I love the flourish in your version. Thanks!
Yes, it is! Links to the fonts used are in the description.
Hi, which Cricut foil did you use please? is it the Gold Foil Ligjt gold
Hi it's a wonderful tutorial, may I plz know which software by are using and the name and brand of the printer

The kind of vinyl you use not for leather

Hey! Do you ever find that you have a glue residue outline when you remove the sheet? I have that issue it seems to transfer to the surface and its noticeable.
No, I’ve never had glue around it. Are you sure you are using htv?
Yup 100%. I think I ironed on too long. @@DIYCraftTutorials

Hi there, Thank you so much for this video! Just curious, do you know how these have held up over the past year? Does the vinyl still good as new?

Does this work for velvet material ?
Which foil is it? I need that shiny gold but cant find it
Hi! Great tutorial! I Immediately bought a cricut joy after watching this! Can you suggest a way to prevent the vinyl to easily peel off? Thank you!
Can you suggest link tht prefered to buy this cricut

You are the best !! Thank you for sharing
What do you do if the bag is this shape, but the top sags in, do you put something inside?
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing your skills!
Hi! So I put any color of iron on and over ir it I put the foil paper and “paste it” with the foil blade ?
So i want to customize my laptop case, but I am afraid of something permanent, is it possible to remove this?
Wonderful video. Easy and to the point.
what is the tape you put on to make it stay in place?
It is the backing sheet that comes with the vinyl
This video got a like and sub from me!! Well done, really starting to obsess with all the various types of htv.
These are so cute - I really like the cases too!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! 😊
Would you have any idea how to remove marks from pressing too much? My one got a rectangle mark from the carrier sheet 😔
😔 unfortunately not on vinyl. Unwanted marks mean you have melted/pushed the leather too much and can't come back from that.
Is there any possibility to do such a project without having to spend, like, 200 bucks on a circuit joy heat press?
Yes, you can use an iron on low heat with no steam
I want that vinyl machine how can I get ? Please let me know
Love the video. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your very interesting works😍😍😍 hope I can do it
This is an awesome video and way to add foil words on leather products. I wonder how long the foil will stay on it? Thank you.
What font did you use for the name "Natasha?"
Beautiful! Would this be possible using the small press rather than the mini?
Yes, you can! Just make sure everything is covered and only short 10 second bursts
Exactly what I was looking to do. Thanx.
Thanks for this video
Can I use velvet fabric??
Does this work with regular non-foil vinyl ?
It works for any HTV (Iron-on vinyl)
Will this work with permanent vinyl?
Your work is gorgeous. Do you think you can use a Clover mini iron or anything similar instead of using the Mini press to achieve the same result on shoes for example?
Can you use this process on card stock?
Thanks for the great tutorial! Do you think this would work on velvet? Like a velvet jewelry box?
