Can you do a video on how to adjust the shift/transmission cable? I've been looking everywhere for a video on this and can't figure it out on my 2007 xc90
So you have to remove the entire pole or can you just change the actual knob to a custom one? Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but did you not remove the wrap on the end before installing?
I'm having a problem with my 2008 Volvo s80 t6 saying gear "selector service required" and sometimes it's very difficult to shift out of park? Would replacing this like you did fix that?
This video was great ! The only thing I'll add is when I dopped the boot down I added some WD40 and let it drip down. THen I had to rap the side of th eknob a few times to get it to go out. It doesnt warn you when its going to go. It just g o e s ...
I gave mine a 'good yank' it didn't pull out of the control lever, broke it, and all the guts below the trim panel came out with it.
Does the car have to be in neutral before taking out the old gear shift? Any risk of triggering some sensors if it isn't?

I got a new one and it still slides out just like the old one. Even waited weeks for the round clip which I thought would mount it but it didn’t. Can’t get it to lock in. Pulls up when lifted.

My XC-90 knob is stuck in Park, so on a forward angle. Are there any other instructions for removal? Can't seem to be able to pull the shaft out. Will the shaft come out when its on an angle like that?
Can i just replace the knob and not the entire shaft? Do you have a video for that?
I have a 2007 v8 and did it in park no problem.
nothing comes up when I put in make model and year and search for "shifter knob" for volvo v70 2004
