Indiana Touhou Spell Bubble Tournament [Grand Final] Pooterin vs GanGuo (me)

Indiana Touhou Spell Bubble Tournament was held at Boss Battle Games tournament venue in Indianapolis, USA, on Dec 20, 2021. 8 Participants were divided into 2 round robin groups, with top 2 players from each group proceed to single elimination stage. Each game is BO3, with player 1 picking first song, player 2 picking second song, and Bad Apple as decider.

This is the final against pooterin, a player I have known well. I was fully prepared for all characters/spell cards he might use. He was aiming for short songs so that one mistake might cost the game. I did under perform a little, especially towards the end.

I only have the demo, but Seeing these new abilities is insane. 2:28 I was confused why both players stopped then realized I was witnessing a top tier spell card. Big brain play geez

2:32 Why did Lunatic Red Eyes cause both players to stall? Is it because the defender wants to keep the incoming bubbles number up, but the attacker wants it down?

Exactly, you don't want send any attacks when Lunatic Red Eyes is in effect unless it's an instant kill

Oh man, this is footage from a way older version of the game! Crazy how much has changed since the netplay update. I wish I could convince 7 other people to play this game with me irl lmao. Do any of you still play at all?

I want to enjoy this game, and I do, but the AI vs the computer is ridiculous. Reimu’s arc isn’t so bad, but once you get Marisa’s arc, it’s insane. It only takes a couple of seconds for the cpu to fill up your screen with bubbles, and no matter how quick you try to play you get destroyed in seconds, even on Easy.
