Greate one, good to see someone showing how hisec combat exploration can be fun and profitable with minimal investment. Especially for new players that go for mining or mission running and it makes it time with EVE boring. Second note is that you can fly t2 gila as alpha if someone think about free to play activity.
@@insanezombieman753 Gila. You have insane tank compared to vexor and you can also speed tank it. Somewhere about 700 DPS and medium drones that has almost no problem with hitting frigates (Most of rats in sites are frigates). Such amount of DPS will be hard to get in vexor (or vni) and also easy take frigs out. But take pro tip for EVE: avoid maxing your isk/h and don't grind/play for isk. Fly ship you like most and you enjoy. Otherwise you will burn out fast. To be honest any cruiser (t1 or pirate faction) is capable of making hisec combat exploration. Gila is just maximum efficient build.
One thing to try and do is to flip your webcam image around (pretty sure you can do that in the recording software and not have to physically move the cam) so you appear to face the center of the video rather than looking off to the side. Don't ask me why that seems to bug people, but supposedly all the RUclipsrs and streamers do that because -- lo and behold -- it bugs people. Go figure.
Do you mean like how "DeadlySlob" is facing. What bugs me about Slobs's videos is that it looks like he like leaning to his left all the time, as if he will soon get a sore neck. Or like he's going to leave to something very soon.
Love your videos Delonewolf! Do you happen to have a quick guide on how to get into this type of PVE? I see your ship fit, but what kind of isk are you making here? Apologies if this was answered in your video!
Great video and I'd like to try this as well. I have your Abyss Gila (the old one with AB, can't find fit with MWD). How do you know which sites are rated 3/10 or which sites to do? Could you direct me to where I can see what the name of combat sites mean in terms of their rating (and therefore which ones are also a waste of time). Thanks and good to put a face to the voice.
Wiki.eveuniversity.org is the go-to these days for that sort of info afaik. I'm still of the opinion the old eve wiki was better for it but that's gone either way. Other sites may be as good/better, just try googling the name of the cosmic sig/anom to find them. As for which sites to hit, dlw touched on what he was running and less excited to run. The other guides I mentioned should note the potential rewards but most common way is from experience. Do the sites for a day or two and you'll start having an idea.
any EVE site, just google it. EVE Uni as Finn said and EVE Survival and several other sites have site info, sometimes it pays to look at more than one to get as much info as possible.
running Guristas Refuges/Dens until you get escalations is very easy and profitable. I use FOF HML Tengus for the task. A Pith-C adaptive invuln now sells for 400 mil ISK (used to be 300 mil ISK about a year ago, prices fluctuate over time). You're not guaranteed to get that one module from the DED site escalation, but there's other good ones, too, and if you do enough you'll eventually get one (or 2 or 3 ;D).
+delonewolf You are running sites only in amarr/sansha space or you tried other rats types? I'm bit curious what rats are most profitable in terms of combat exploration?
Gallente space is very nice imo i lived there for a long time and serpentis sites were always fast and with good loot. I still have to go live in Minmatar and Caldari space at some point to try the exploration there.
Jump in wormholes in a 5mil isk Heron and hack data/relic sites. The first WH I jumped in I came out with 40mil! Gotta be prepared to lose some ships and loot tho.
I've seen a few of your videos where you use a Gila, your rigs are different on each one. Do you destroy rigs to replace them or do you have a few different Gilas you use, depending on your activity?
Do people not kill the other rats because they don't drop anything at all? Or just nothing good? If they do drop small stuff, would it be worth it to bring a mobile tractor unit and let it pull the wrecks to you?
In combat exploration its about speed, luck and competition. There is no point in setting up MTU for few milions of ISK when in time it tractors all stuff, collect it and probably salvage wrecks you can do next site with possible hundreds of isk in loot. You can go for full clear but as you saw in video, someone can come and steal site/loot. 99% of people wont give you 50% of income so you must be fast.
All those masses of frigs and cruisers give minimal bounties and loot, similar to mission rats. You can full clear them if you want (and some rooms require you to full clear and/or have a key to unlock an accel gate), but you risk being beaten to the loot at the end of the site. If you d-scan religiously for probes and ships near your site, it's definitely safer, but you're still taking longer than you need to and your chance of getting good loot is dropping by the minute. In general, HS bounties and loot are only decent from battleships and from faction rats (like the True Sansha boss delonewolf killed near the start of this video). You can get faction spawns in HS anoms, from hideaways and barrows up to refuges and dens... plus escalations to DED sites where you can get more faction (and sometimes deadspace) module drops and faction BPCs (usually frigs in HS, cruisers in LS, battleships in NS, generally... but you can get DED 5/10 escalations in HS sometime and thus get the cruiser BPCs in HS occasionally).
I tried this tonight and did a DED 4 in my Drake. The reward was... pretty terrible. I think even with my Noctis alongside me salvaging I only made 6-7 million (bounty, loot and salvage) per site. I also used a ton of tech II rockets. I'm going to keep experimenting. But was a little disappointed so far.
@@macgregor8459 I will keep at it. I'm working towards C3 sites from a skill perspective so have time to burn and explore different options. I feel DED 4 is not a good choice because ships can be very slow. I'm going to work on my fit and upgrade to a Navy Issue Drake in the short term. I also want to see how a Hurricane does and trying a kite build with high DPS.
This is why I don't bother with high sec exploration other than sometimes running anoms trying to get escalations. I don't want to be having to blizt the sites and literally race against other players. It's really annoying and immersion breaking.

You are GREAT!!! Keep up the AMAZING Videos, Info, and Gameplay. Thanks for the Cam and info why!!!
didn't have time to watch the whoel video but really appreciated the explanation about youtube at the beginning

It's not very constant but here for instance i made 700M in 2 days.
@@delonewolf This is just scanning down combat sites right?
yep

Always good videos, no exception here.
can you show you Fit for your Gila and show what you are doing with scanning
The fit is in the video description.
Another great video. Thanks for posting.
Shift+R all drones retunr to drone bay, Cntl+R reload all bays...minimal time saver
I have bound "f" or "shift-f" to Drone Attack selected target, which is nice.
So would it be smart to run a bunch of combat sites and try to get escalations sites or should i stick to scanning them down?
i tend to scan a first round, then do a second round to see if there are new sigs, if i'm still empty i start doing anoms for escalations.

trouble is getting isk in eve as a starter :(

Great intro to combat sites. I missing the meaning of 5/10, 3/10, etc. What does this mean?
essentially, the difficulty on a site. the higher the number the harder the site but the more chance of good loot :)

i have several Gila's
Can you run these sites in a Heavy Assault Cruiser?
yep i love the Ishtar myself but any hac should do fine.
i used a Munnin (Minmatrar HAC)
Like how you gave the first guy money, nice guy, i do the same
Pretty nice for passive tank...

Also, try a 5/10! :)
5/10 in hisec are only from escalations so can be hard to get. But gila will take it with no problem ;)
U can find 5/10 as Escalation from the Den Sites, mostly they spawn in Lowsec but sometimes in Highsec
Some Refuges escalate to 5/10s, not just Dens. it depends on whether you're in Guristas, Serpentis, Angel, Blood, or Sansha areas of HS.
