That version of Rybakina is monstrous! Her draw maybe looks easy (she didn't face a top 20 in her route to the final), but the way, with which she wins the matches is scary. Usually Elena has many problems during the matches, even against way lower ranked opponents. In Adelaide she is just brilliant. She doesn't hit that many aces, as before, but her service game didn't get broken in any of these matches. I can notice the very needed physical improvement in her. She needed that first final in a WTA tournament since Rome in May so bad.
l definitely love watching Rybakina’s play. She is just SUPERSTAR ❤
So enjoyable watching a match where neither player is obnoxiously screaming or grunting, always loved Rybakina's powerful groundstroke game and the non-dramatic and efficient way that she just goes about things, really hoping she wins the title tomorrow

Based off of Elena's demeanor, you can never tell if she wins or loses the point. No shrieking, grunting, or yelling "C'mon". I love that about her game. That and she absolutely pounds the crap out of the ball.
2 days ago the posted highlights of her match. 👀 Look on their page
She never learns...she loses many games, sets and matches by bashing every ball. I'd move the conversation to : Elena, what areas of the game do you need to improve". If she doesn't say what we all know she should, I'd then would tell her. It's not rocket science... its taking the pace off the ball, angling more shots .. . and other items including getting pro training in calming herself. Sharapova at the Bollieteri Academy before her next shot and next serve ( on many occasions) turned around to face the back of the court to.take a breath and calm down... it takes time to cha ge.. its not just turning around, it must be deliberate .. ie wanting to do it, not because a coach said. And it can be other ways. Sabalenka isn't a learner.. yet.. let's see

An AO win would be a great start-continuation of her dominance But with 4 different women winning each slam last year I think it's up to who is the hottest in those two week periods. Wimbledon for 1GA would be awesome but it would take a miracle since she puts so much effort into winning Roland Garros and grass is still a challenge for her @@eyeofthetiger6002
@@eyeofthetiger6002it's not so much a curse as very fast courts not being conducive to Iga's a la Rafa playing style. We'll see in Melbourne if Iga really has improved her serve that much.
@@tennisobserver995 really? Rafa won 2 Wimbledon titles as well as 2 Australian Open titles!🤣 I think those two tournaments expose Iga's rather limited game with virtually no volleys, serves,slices or drop shots!😂

Rybakina's game is getting better and better.
I've watched all herin the off season matches this tourny , what i noticed was Elena has only 22 unforced errors in total , also has shown more patience in the rallies . She's obiviously worked hard in the off season , lets hope its an injury free one , if it is i can see her winning at least 4 titles
This is the reason why I rate Rybakina way more than either Iga or Sabalenka. Her shots are just as fast and potent as any that Sabalenka can muster but the main difference is the sheer effort and noise! that Sabalenka has to expand compared to the effortless ease that Rybakina seems to be able to play those same shots just underline her perfect timing and talent. Also Rybakina possesses more variety in her game than either of those two. Rybakina is the female version of Federer compared to either Rybakina or even Iga which are female versions of Nadal! 😂 and lastly Rybakina has that effortless killer serve to top it off!

rybakina's biggest weakness to me is that she's not the fastest/most agile mover around the court, i think that's something that can be exploited.

Rybakina has a lot of power. She has touch too. Her movement is her weakness but few can take advantage of it.
Her movement is getting better too.

Noskova seems to have a very similar game style to Rybakina, I feel like when she comes into her prime she will basically be Rybakina 2.
Maybe in style of play but she probably will never be as good a server as Rybakina is because of her height.
