My buddy has one, and I like it for sure. I let him ride my 09 Vmax, and he was quite surprised. But what a fun, cool looking bike with great performance.
Just watched this again, WW. That first petrol station was an expensive one. I really wanted the original Rocket Roadster and never bought it. I think I should get an R. I can afford it. Way better than any Harley. Nice scenery.
It was one of those places that afterwards you realise just how amazing it was. Mind boggling roads & scenery! And you're right, it's tucked up in the mountains so was really pricey. Enjoy the bike!
Don't forget the Rocket 3r runs on 87 octane. I have the 2022 limited black edition 3r and had a 2017 first generation. Amazing big motor that only needs regular fuel. I put 91 in and you can't tell the difference in more if any so I'll stick with regular unleaded.
Yea I've never gone for the fancy stuff unless the dealer explicitly asks for it. I was so impressed by the Rocket R as an all round motorcycle. Very nice
Ordered one about a month ago, they gave me a two months waiting time until delivery so its getting close. Coming from a Zuki M109R I wonder how it will ride.
@@Willieswheels Went for a GT black without any other extras, and no have not riden one yet, but I doubt I'll be disappointed since heavy fat muscle cruisers are right up my alley
I jumped fom C800, it is uncomparable! I thought about M108R but R3GT is several generations modern. Chassis, engine, but mostly the handling and assistants. They are not offensive, I never saw flashing lights of ABS or TC (maybe I have failed tft, hehe), but is much much more confidence on R3 tan on C800. Only one disadvantage, the fuel tank. Could be 5 liters larger. Engine is too thursty.
@@ichbinmartin couldn’t agree more. The specs were intimidating but actually I found it to be a very comfortable, reassuring and thrilling ride! If the GT Spec had a bigger tank that would be awesome.
They are no more uneconomical than other very large capacity bikes. Source: several other videos - Lamb Chop Rides, for one, and he leathers it. It must be very manageable. I test road a Rocket Roadster in 2010. That was 40 kg heavier, but the weight was so low.
That’s a fair point - we did find it less economical on the long trip to south France though, but might have had to do with the extra weight and the way we were riding. It’s all cheaper than a car anyway!
If you’re wondering if a short person can use this, I am 5’ 4” and I took delivery of my R3GT last week. Its very good. So go ahead and chase your dreams ✌️
They look awesome, love the R and GT, (also 1200 scrambler) great styling, great engineering. Good video wheels Willie 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Donald!

2022 GT 3. Best bike I ever had. And I owned many.
Bought one new in 2021 , wish I had waited as second hand are excellent value , Ive had a quick shifter fitted , that makes even more exciting ,
Phwoar. I bet the quick-shifter is a great addition!

Pick up mine Tuesday.
The fuel capacity is 18L and not 14L as mentioned.. I get about 280km per tank and about 5-6L/100km. Many many smiles per km and worth every $ spent.
My apologies, made an error!
Definitely my next bike, just wish it had better paint colors

Fuel economy drops a good bit after about 4000 miles. It dropped from 10,5L/100 to about 8L. And thats with it being DRIVEN.
That’s an interesting insight! Appreciate it
From 10.5L/100 to 8L/100 that means fuel economy increased right?
@@chowmetongmanpoong Decreased. It uses 2,5 liters less for every 100km ridden.

Congrats to you Paulo! Did you get a test ride? I honestly think you've made a fantastic decision there. What spec did you go for?
