i find it symbolic how most Zelda final bosses are easy. it shows how strong link has become over the coarse of his adventure. i think that's what the programmers had in mind. but the final boss deals big damage to show that their no push over either.
I did feel that way with Skyward Sword. Link felt really determined and confident in front of Demise, and so ultimately I was too. The fight was technically easy because of how strong we are at this point, but Demise could still deal tons of damage. It felt just a little bit too short unfortunately, but well.
Lauchlin Yurchuk the Demise battle was actually really hard. I remember walking into thinking it'd be no different than your average Ganondorf battle and then getting my ass handed to me.
DittoMaster6 I didn't either...but like I read here in the coments...It's those people's own fault to get hit by Zelda :D If they stand in front of her (between Ganondorf and her) and you put your shield up towards Ganondorf and she shoots in Ganondorfs direction....and you are standing right with your back too that arrow...it's those people's own fault :D
*gets the master sword through the skull*"Fuck...Y-YOU......LIIIIIIIINNNNNNKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!"*turns to a stone statue*Me playing the ending of wind waker: "GAAAAAAANOOONNNNDOOOOORRRFFFF NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
I love how scary ganondorf is, like whenever I hear his music and see him I can’t help but feel like he’s towering over me and swinging two blades with absolute accuracy and mastery.
Probably my favorite battle with ganondorf. Why? For once, he's both strong as hell AND nimble. It gives me the impression he was actually fighting with his all, and honestly was probably one of the more challenging versions to date for it.
this is why ganondorf is one of my favorite villains. He always has epic boss battles and music to go along with it. We have had other challenging ganons before too, this one being one of them and him transforming into puppet ganon. First his beast form, and here they show how ganondorf is a master in hand to hand combat. Wind waker did a great job making ganondorf challenging
i loved that about him but more than anything else i loved the look into his more human self in the battle. for once we got to understand his reasons. to know we aren't just facing a veritable 'dragon' from a fairytale stealing the treasures and lives of the people. we aren't fighting a dragon. we're fighting a man. a man who was fed up, fed up with the hylian rulers sleeping in their warm cozy beds every night as his people froze to death in the night, as they seered in the inferno of a sun in the day, and coward from the wild life boaring the very earth below them.
Kick The Kitsune the ganon in tp wasnt even really ganon anymare, he was mostly the demon by then. he even lost control of his beast self at one point. really i preferred Zant. he seemed so cold and calculating and then you find he'sd just some spoiled child whining about broken toys. a lunatic, a sociopath, a mindless drone acting on hate.
This is the first Zelda game to have an emotionally charming shopkeeper who goes *OHHHHH!* everytime you walk in and speak to him, making most people grin or giggle. It's also the first game where Link fucking piledrives the Master Sword in the King of Evil's head. Sure, he did it in Ocarina of Time, but this time it felt like there was more weight to it than just a few noodley slashes and a little poke.
I think another element is that Link stabs GANONDORF, not Ganon, its not striking down a monstrous beast, it is destroying a man, an immortal man, but a man
The battle music combined with the image in the video is just so epic to me. The three main characters that play the key role in all the legends of old, facing each other one more time while the mythical kingdom of Hyrule with all its legend and history gets washed away forever
Ganondorf laughed because the idea of using the Triforce to wish for hope and a future for the next generation, as opposed to using it to dominate the world, seemed absurd to him.
This song really hit me hard when I facing Ganon. The theme really tells of the past dying. Even if you lost, Hyrule was still going to die. You then thought to yourself. "Oh my god, this is the true end. Should I push on and leave to fight on, or should I die along with the tradition." It's a great theme and for all you thinking Ganon is fat in this. He leaps like half of the battle arena. You think a fat guy can do that? And bear in mind, he looks big cause Link is just a kid.
I was a teen when I first played the Wind Waker. The final boss music is epic and so is the background scenery with Hyrule Flooding. The fighting was a cake walk whilst Princess Zelda was knocked out but as soon as she awakened and fired arrows at me that’s when my heart meter dropped dangerously low haha
My favorite Ganondorf battle. He casts aside any pretense of magical combat in favor of two swords which he uses in an awesome fighting style. Then he changes up his blocking patterns at several points throughout the battle to counter what you're doing to hit him. No energy tennis, no pomp and circumstance...just an angry Gerudo demigod taking out his frustration on his nemesis. ...Zelda, please...if I can't see you, I can't tell when you're about to shoot an arrow. Wait until we're both in position!
Ahhh. Reminds me of how much of a traitor Zelda was to me. Shot me in the back of the head several times during the fight. Lost all my fairies as a result and died ._.
Zeno Izukia Also reminds me of how BS it was, why was it the Light Arrows suddenly became Electric when they hit you?! And yep, I took easily more arrows to the face from her crapshoot skills than Ganondorf ever did XP
Zeno Izukia Well, your fault o.O Why do you stand in front of her when she shoots? That's dumb ._. Sorry to say this but until right now I didn't even know it was possible to get damage from her. And I played this game often :D
The way he shouts as he swings his swords at you... This man has gone off the rails, and when I was younger it was the only boss who actually intimidated me
One of the best moments in gaming, all of the Ganondorf battles are special and this one is no exception. I love the spectacle of fighting this extremely dramatic Ganon on top of a tower while the ocean falls all around you.
One of the best final boss fights ever. A sword fight against a man who gives everything to prevent a wish, around a circular floor fulling of water slowly. That's pretty awesome!
Definitely fits. You can still hear echoes of the Ganon we all know, but it's more desperate, more fast-paced, and way more aggressive. He knows full well he's lost, and at this point he just wants to drag you all down to the depths with him. Nothing is scarier nor more dangerous than one who has lost everything. Also can I just say how annoying it is to land the parry attack from his jumping slash? You've got to be deliberately far away from him or your roll will carry you right past him for some reason.
What a shame that this final battle was so easy, but I like that it was made easy deliberately (in my opinion) given 1) the moderately difficult battle before this and 2) Ganondorf knew he was fucked and basically attacked in a blind rage, causing any strategy to go flying out the window, making this an easy fight for Link and Zelda. Good storytelling, I hope to see the same in Zelda WiiU.
+Ashmanns I actually felt this battle was the only final battle against Ganondorf that actually was a challenge, he was a joke in OoT and TP, but in this one he was a bad ass and I always get my ass kicked in it.
+Ashmanns Agree. After the brutal battle with Puppet Ganon, especially in snake form, it would've been too much to have Ganondorf be equally rough, it would be pointless to return and stock up if it's the final battle in the game
i think one of the really cool things about this fight is that, within the limits of the game engine, it really looks like Ganondorf is parrying your attacks
Zelda: "Ready? I'll aim for your Shield!" Gets Hit. Zelda Misses Twice Gets Hit Hits are my shield and misses Zelda Misses Three Times Me "Zelda, this would be over if I was the one using the bow."
The best fight in the game, second best track in my opinion. This guy literally fights you underwater as the water constantly falls in a barrier around you as you try to deflect arrows of the very gods themselves at them. The music really sets the tone of the fight too, (what not 2:58-3:22) but TBOTW just steps on it...**sigh**
I freaking love this final boss I mean think about it you’re fighting against Ganondorf in the used to be Hyrule that’s been flooded by the three golden goddesses and only you, and Toon Zelda has to stop him once and for all, and while you’re fighting against him the downpour of the oceans above you is falling down onto Ganon’s Tower of his!
Ocarina of Time's final battle is still my favorite for its epic, cinematic, and mythological scale and style, but Wind Waker comes in a very close second (with all the other final battles trailing by a fairly wide margin). This is the most personal the conflict between Link and Ganondorf has ever been, given it was kicked off by Ganondorf sending his pet Helmaroc King to kidnap Tetra and Link's sister and then he personally confronts Ganondorf over it at the Forsaken Fortress. Now with water raining from above, drowning the land Ganondorf had coveted, you can feel the intense and bitter venom of a battle with a man that has lost everything he has sought to obtain. It also ends in one of the most spectacular final blows of the series, a plunging-from-above stab right to the head.
What do you expect, he is evil, of course he would punch a little girl! Plus thats the least he could do to her considering the fact he is swinging 2 big-ass swords at Link trying to slice him in half!
At least he had the decency to put his sword away, he could have decapitated her in a single slash, knowing how fucking useless and fragile Zelda actually is.
Question for people: when you think of Ganondorf and fighting him, which of his many battle themes is the first one to come to your head? For me, it's always the final battle from Twilight Princess. It wasn't the first Zelda game I played, I've done a lot of them and heard their themes before I played TP, but for some reason if Ganondorf is brought up, it's ALWAYS that one I think of first (followed by the Ganon fight from OoT)
I always imagined 0:45 as the voice of the gods, highlighting how they've done all they could in this situation (technically with the Triforce's wish) but are still secretly cheering Link and Zelda on. However, the melody of the song descends, showing that while they cheer him on, the situation is dire. And there will be no Round 2.
when i 1st played this game, it took me awhile to beat Ganondorf, i had no idea u were sposed to do a parry attack after reflecting a light arrow off ur shield, i jus kept slicing assuming he'd run outta health or something eventually
I love how the 'biggest' Ganon was the hardest, most epic Ganon battle in the series :D I was so happy for an actual sword fight, no flying, magical energy attacks... Epic.
Other Ganondorfs: Is a giant pig, uses magic a lot. Only uses a sword as a last resort WW Ganondorf: Pulls out 2 huge swords and attempts to Cut you into bite-sized pieces
"But it's Ganondorf! When are we going to see Ganondorf again?!" I think that Game Grumps has run its course and that they need to move on to other projects, but they have their moments.
Honestly, I really enjoyed this fight because of how hard it was compared to most of your other battles in the game. It's 2v1 and you're still on the back foot in this fight. Ganondorf blocks almost all of your attacks coming at him, and the Back Strike reaction attack is almost useless because he steps forward with his attacks moving out of range of your counter. He knocks out Tetra half way through the fight forcing you to need to find a way through his guard so she can't stun him for you anymore. Once Zelda does recover he dodges her Light Arrows effortlessly, even while he's blocking your attacks... Excuse me, I'm gonna go load up my old Wind Waker file real quick.
Hope they'll release you in HD on the 3DS too! You're my favorite video game hero of all time! (2nd is Mario and 3rd is Sonic) I'm a huge Zelda fan since I played Phantom Hourglass, which was my first Zelda game. You're definitely the coolest Link in the series!!!
It went pretty good! There's a lot of land to walk and run around at. Tetra even considered building a castle, too. I do miss Outset Isle, along with my friends, Aryll, and Grandma, too...
I love the design of this ganon so much and in my opinion is the scariest. Not only is he a big ganon without even needing to be brute of buff, you as link are a child so he is like 5x taller than you. And STILL this man can jump so high and do backflips with no hesitation. The only thing that wasn't good about this fight was the pile of shit they forgot to add to links pants.
+Darkai Sixta To be fair though, Hero Mode is a good first step and the Ganondorf Amiibo+HM in TP HD is a good second step. I'm thinking Breath of the Wild's healing and weapon+shield durability can be taken as a third since one can no longer just go to a store to heal or use weapons and shields haphazardly.
Kinda interesting how I just started playing Wind Waker for myself for the first time, even after having owned the game for six months and putting it off, and this theme pops into my recommended box.
I love this art piece I’m so curious as to where it came from. Perhaps it’s fan made I’m not sure, anyways, a great final boss theme for my favorite game of all time!!
Now! Let us put an end to that which binds us together! Gods! Hear that which I desire! Expose this land to the rays of the sun once more! Let them burn forth! Give Hyrule to me! Ganondorf
Love the music. The battle is fun and easy, but also cool. This is wonderful music, and in my opinion, Ganondorf in the Windwaker is the best Ganondorf out of all the Ganondorfs in each zelda game.

Unless you take the theory that botw is the end result of all 3 timelines
i find it symbolic how most Zelda final bosses are easy. it shows how strong link has become over the coarse of his adventure. i think that's what the programmers had in mind. but the final boss deals big damage to show that their no push over either.
That's good computer designing right there
I did feel that way with Skyward Sword. Link felt really determined and confident in front of Demise, and so ultimately I was too. The fight was technically easy because of how strong we are at this point, but Demise could still deal tons of damage. It felt just a little bit too short unfortunately, but well.
I agree although I died a lot at Demises battle lol but I still agree
Lauchlin Yurchuk the Demise battle was actually really hard. I remember walking into thinking it'd be no different than your average Ganondorf battle and then getting my ass handed to me.

Malcolm Fitzpatrick I didn't. I was one of the few people to talk to her.

I love how scary ganondorf is, like whenever I hear his music and see him I can’t help but feel like he’s towering over me and swinging two blades with absolute accuracy and mastery.
You like that?
Nakumare That was the sexiest comment I've ever read. Are you single???
I dunno, Twilight Princess's Ganon was pretty good.
Sure, he did it in Ocarina of Time, but this time it felt like there was more weight to it than just a few noodley slashes and a little poke.
wind waker link quite literally has more weight too since hes got gravity on his side since hes coming from above lol
@@scourgeface Adult Link from Ocarina had the Golden Gauntlets, he basically erased Ganon's brain with that strength.
Truly a poetic battle on an ancient wind's dying breath! Fate would have it that way!
that can't be good for Ganondorf's back
I know right

+Orochimaru sama that wasn't her question dumbass
+death Kilgore She wasn't even asking a question, Einstein.
Ganondorf laughed because the idea of using the Triforce to wish for hope and a future for the next generation, as opposed to using it to dominate the world, seemed absurd to him.
At 0:45 is just pure magic during this fight. Thank god the setting and fight itself is matched by such a great soundtrack
Nah 1:57 Is way better for the túnel and the way they Made it
someone sample this plz
This song really hit me hard when I facing Ganon.
The theme really tells of the past dying. Even if you lost, Hyrule was still going to die. You then thought to yourself. "Oh my god, this is the true end. Should I push on and leave to fight on, or should I die along with the tradition." It's a great theme and for all you thinking Ganon is fat in this. He leaps like half of the battle arena. You think a fat guy can do that? And bear in mind, he looks big cause Link is just a kid.
I was a teen when I first played the Wind
Waker. The final boss music is epic and so is the background scenery with Hyrule Flooding. The fighting was a cake walk whilst Princess Zelda was knocked out but as soon as she awakened and fired arrows at me that’s when my heart meter dropped dangerously low haha
glad to see everyone enjoys it, this was hard to make but worth it
I can't shake the feeling that this desig of Ganondorf reminds me of Aku from Samurai Jack. Huge black kimono, orange hair, GREAT FLAMING EYEBROWS.
BROOO yesss I totally see the correlation now. Aku and WW Ganon are like my favorite villains to date

@@masonmurphy5402 in my opinion, Wind Waker Final Battle is better
My favorite Ganondorf battle. He casts aside any pretense of magical combat in favor of two swords which he uses in an awesome fighting style. Then he changes up his blocking patterns at several points throughout the battle to counter what you're doing to hit him. No energy tennis, no pomp and circumstance...just an angry Gerudo demigod taking out his frustration on his nemesis.
...Zelda, please...if I can't see you, I can't tell when you're about to shoot an arrow. Wait until we're both in position!
I appreciate this game ALOT.
Fun fact: if you use the grapple hook on Zelda she gives you hearts
*sigh* I know he does....
Anyway, I haven't seen him since after that incident with Bellum. I hope we do meet again someday.... I hope....
You probably won't see him again but your descendants on the other hand are in big trouble

Lmao
gets poked with one too many arrows
jumps over to zelda
slaps her in the face
refuses to elaborate
And yep, I took easily more arrows to the face from her crapshoot skills than Ganondorf ever did XP
vc180191 I feel you man. XD SHE was the TRUE threat. Ganondorf was no problem. Denied me my final blow several times.
Zeno Izukia How is that even possible? Did you put your shield up? :/
MiiKidMario Yep. SHe was behind me every time. I even saw her maneuver behind me too.
Zeno Izukia Well, your fault o.O Why do you stand in front of her when she shoots? That's dumb ._. Sorry to say this but until right now I didn't even know it was possible to get damage from her. And I played this game often :D
hearing this music alone makes me want to play the game all over afain
The way he shouts as he swings his swords at you... This man has gone off the rails, and when I was younger it was the only boss who actually intimidated me
It’s sad really ganondorf wanted peace with hyrule and gerudo but with the curse his mind was filled with malice and this is the result...
He never wanted peace.
Most characterized I've ever seen him. Great game.
Doing the helm splitter on him always feels so satisfying after seeing him hold his head from the pain
This picture along with this music shows how Ganondorf has lost it. Xd
I loved this fight that as a kid I would sometimes just pop in the game and replay it bc the tension and the music of it all is so good.
Ganondorf's perfect plan:
- child abuse
- ???
- Touch triforce
- win
-fail (definitely on purpose)
-child abuse (again)
-get stabbed in the head
One of the best moments in gaming, all of the Ganondorf battles are special and this one is no exception. I love the spectacle of fighting this extremely dramatic Ganon on top of a tower while the ocean falls all around you.
I’m watching this while doing my boring ass science homework about rain
Rain is actually kind of cool. Also the rains wash away this ancient land.
The topic fits so well with this.
Well, you would be a *tad* disappointed, botw ganon was too easy
@@luccabritto2566 in botw 2 we have ganondorf so hopefully hes a challenge
Man that takes me back... Zelda Wii U. Good times man.
i think one of the really cool things about this fight is that, within the limits of the game engine, it really looks like Ganondorf is parrying your attacks
Cant believe its 20 years since this game released. Time flies man. Totk is so different to this
Zelda: "Ready? I'll aim for your Shield!"
Gets Hit.
Zelda Misses Twice
Gets Hit
Hits are my shield and misses
Zelda Misses Three Times
Me "Zelda, this would be over if I was the one using the bow."
You're the one failing, not Zelda. What you should do is getting in the same direction Zelda is aiming with Ganondorf in the middle
*Sniper Gaming*
I can't listen to this music without the furious clashing of swords overlaying it. *clink* *clink* *clink* *clink* *clink*
The best thing about this entire battle is that Link is not alone, but Zelda accompanies him.
There was no Zelda game better than this, and there was no final boss theme better than this. Wind Waker has it all!
No one remembers when ganondorf punches zelda in da face? That was really really creepy... Cause.. i mean he hit a little girl!
well, he is a DEMON LORD, badass by nature.
Retian Maleoria Actually, link wouldnt be standing there without Zelda
argreetha Yeah, she's only good to say you "U R TEH ERO, U HAZ 3FORS OF COORAJ" and get hit by Ganondorf.
"stop hitting me Zelda!"

Question for people: when you think of Ganondorf and fighting him, which of his many battle themes is the first one to come to your head? For me, it's always the final battle from Twilight Princess.
It wasn't the first Zelda game I played, I've done a lot of them and heard their themes before I played TP, but for some reason if Ganondorf is brought up, it's ALWAYS that one I think of first (followed by the Ganon fight from OoT)
vc180191 The Fight against Beast Ganon from TP...I don't have to say something, right? :D TP had LOTS of great Boss themes :D
+Jack Dunn I always think of the Wind Waker theme first. It's just incredibly catchy to me! The TP Ganondorf battle theme also gets stuck in my head.

Man, this battle was climactic for a lighthearted art style.
This is honestly one of the toughest Ganondorf battles ever. And the music suits it well!
This+ Rainy Mood.
I love how the 'biggest' Ganon was the hardest, most epic Ganon battle in the series :D I was so happy for an actual sword fight, no flying, magical energy attacks... Epic.
Other Ganondorfs: Is a giant pig, uses magic a lot. Only uses a sword as a last resort
WW Ganondorf: Pulls out 2 huge swords and attempts to Cut you into bite-sized pieces
"No,Arin don't take a selfie!"
Ugh game grumps
"But it's Ganondorf! When are we going to see Ganondorf again?!"
I think that Game Grumps has run its course and that they need to move on to other projects, but they have their moments.

I do miss Outset Isle, along with my friends, Aryll, and Grandma, too...
you'll go back there one day.
Bro, what the f*ck is this conversation? You are not the wind waker Link, cause it an video game character !
Best ending in video game history. Dont @ me
I love the design of this ganon so much and in my opinion is the scariest. Not only is he a big ganon without even needing to be brute of buff, you as link are a child so he is like 5x taller than you. And STILL this man can jump so high and do backflips with no hesitation. The only thing that wasn't good about this fight was the pile of shit they forgot to add to links pants.
One of the better songs in zelda.
Ganondorf...A man towering at atleast 230cm lost in sword fight to two 120cm tall children.
My favorite song
Whenever i hear this i think of a bunch of destroyers going at full throttle across the ocean
this game needs a HARDCORE mode. basically all enemies are stronger, your attacks are weaker, and magic gets used FAST. The hype is real.
that would be dope m8
+Darkai Sixta To be fair though, Hero Mode is a good first step and the Ganondorf Amiibo+HM in TP HD is a good second step. I'm thinking Breath of the Wild's healing and weapon+shield durability can be taken as a third since one can no longer just go to a store to heal or use weapons and shields haphazardly.
Darkrai Sixta so......master quest?
What we need is another Master Quest which actually changes puzzle and obstacle layouts. Zelda isn't just combat.
Kinda interesting how I just started playing Wind Waker for myself for the first time, even after having owned the game for six months and putting it off, and this theme pops into my recommended box.
I love this art piece I’m so curious as to where it came from. Perhaps it’s fan made I’m not sure, anyways, a great final boss theme for my favorite game of all time!!
the art piece is from the game itself
That was probably the best comeback I've read on the internet! Congrats!

Love the music. The battle is fun and easy, but also cool. This is wonderful music, and in my opinion, Ganondorf in the Windwaker is the best Ganondorf out of all the Ganondorfs in each zelda game.
