      Does he actually kill him though?
      I could easily be wrong, but I could swear they always went with "banishing" instead to get around that lol
      I know they talk about "banishing" him A LOT, and all the other enemies we're told we need to "defeat" but idk if they ever had the balls enough to just outright say "KILL HIM/THEM" and idk how well that goes over for the E rating(although let's be real, the ESRB is more fucked than the MPAA, so I can't really pretend anything is the same between two games when we all know politics between publishers plays the biggest part)
      And none of this is factoring in foreign languages and interprétations(which opens up a whole new realm of discussion idc enough about)

      @chuckbuskee For real! But so many hero’s in fiction spare the lives of the most evil people. For example, in Dragon ball Frieza is the embodiment of evil and has destroyed worlds without hesitation, yet Goku still spares his life. Not trying to disrespect Goku, but finish the damn guy and put your morals behind you, someone that evil doesn’t deserve to be spared. But Link… Link doesn’t fuck around.

      The Botw is the result/successor of both Adult and Child Timelines. Because both of them are connected from the Time-split(Ocarina of Time).

    • @dekuswagg
      @dekuswagg 7 лет назад +16

      CAUTION: HEAVY SPOILERS FOR BOTW AHEAD
      Actually, BotW could only possibly be in either the Downfall timeline or the Adult timeline for a variety of reasons. In a recent interview with Aonuma, he stated this -
      "Interviewer: And where does this Zelda fit on the series' timeline, in its chronology, split as that is into three separate yet connected branches?
      Aonuma: I wouldn't say that it obviously fits into any one part of the timeline, but if you play the game, you'll be able to work out where it fits. As you probably saw in the trailer, the most recent trailer, there's a woman's voice, and she says: "The history of the royal family of Hyrule is also the history of the Calamity Ganon." And as you know, the Zelda series, up until now, is a history of repeated attacks by Ganon. So, there's food for thought there. I don't want to say anything more as I'd like players to work it out for themselves, to play the game and see what they think."
      source: waypoint.vice.com/en_us/article/a-conversation-with-zelda-veteran-and-breath-of-the-wild-producer-eiji-aonuma
      That means that the game takes place in a branch of the timeline where Ganon attacks several times. In both the Child and Adult timelines, Ganon only attacks once, leaving only the Fallen Hero timeline. There's not very much evidence for the Child Timeline, actually, aside from the references in that one memory. (Even though those games are only referenced in the English version. In the Japanese version all of the titles referenced in that cutscene are from the Downfall timeline.) Breath of the Wild contains numerous major reference to the events of Ocarina of Time that didn't occur in the Child Timelime as well. For example, we learn that the Sages from OoT such as Ruto and Nabooru went down in history as the sages that fought against Ganondorf, whereas in the Child timeline, the sages from OoT were never awoken. Also the Hero of Time is directly referenced in-game. In the Child timeline, the Hero of Time was never celebrated as a hero, and faded into obscurity as we see with the Hero's Shade. Another big tell is that in the Downfall timeline, Hyrule is in a constant state of rising to a glorious golden age only to be demolished by the resurgence of Ganon. This fits exactly into what happens during the events of BotW. Lastly, only in the Fallen Hero timeline is the complete Triforce consistently held by the Royal Family (we see the complete Triforce used by Zelda at the climax of the storyline.)

    • @xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx
      @xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx 7 лет назад +16

      DekuKid
      ALL of the timelines converge into one and the result was Breath of the Wild. As you can see now, the reference from the past games faded into a legend that is told time through time again.

      Well, there's that, and there's also the fact that this guy is literally the bloodline descendant of the Hero of Time. AKA Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. AKA the first Link in the series timeline to pull the Master Sword, claim the Triforce of Courage, and face Ganon in combat.
      And it's that same hero's spirit who teaches you the seven sword skills during this game, including the Finishing Blow used to deliver the final hit on Ganon and finish him off.
      This Link was always destined to follow in his ancestor's footsteps, and with the previous hero's help, Ganon never stood a chance.

    I really enjoyed this fight! Especially the sword clash, where you actually give us an intense and equal moment between Link and Ganondorf. To see Link winning and sometimes losing the clash is very entertaining and interesting. It sometimes actually irritates me to see all those players out there only playing flawlessly and braggy like it's so easy. At least you showed us a bit of a challenge. Great fight!

    • @Zeik188
      @Zeik188 6 лет назад +32

      I have a feeling the player was doing that on purpose because this fight, while super epic and cinematic is REALLY easy. He also had double damage enabled, which is why he lost like 8 hearts when he failed the QTE. In order to actually lose that QTE you have to practically do nothing and just let it happen.
      I would enjoy this fight more if you didn't have to sandbag to make it last any length of time like this player here did.

    I understand that “power” doesn’t only equate to physical strength but the fact Ganondorf gets into a test of strength and loses while he has the the triforce of power is one of the coolest moments in Zelda.
    As well as his dying standing up. That’s crazy.

    • @cdsatcher
      @cdsatcher Год назад +19

      Well, no, he IS physically strong. It's just that the Hero of Twilight is ALSO physically strong too, having the strength to wrestle bulls(and Gorons via use of the Iron Boots to prevent them from yeeting his ass out of the arena) and throw them to the ground without any assistance, being able to lift up large and presumably heavy doors with ease, and being able to use the Wrecking Ball & Chain(which is a heavy, massive ball and chain that can destroy massive chunks of ice).

      From the Child Timeline, yes, when OOT Link warns the King of Hyrule and OOT Zelda of Ganon's plans of what he did in the Adult Timeline

    It's time for the ultimate battle in this game with it's realstic graphics. A 1v1 sword fight with ganondorf, with this epic music and lightning. It is going to be a long fight and a hard fi- *pulls out fishing rod and swings it around*

      Benjamin F. Ganondorf: What the hell? A fishing rod? Really? But its shiny.

      Ganondorf: SON OF A *Link kills him*

    "It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force... but by our skills with a lightsaber."
    - Count Dooku
    This stage of the boss fight was up close and personal. First Ganon hid in Zelda's body, then they both used animal avatars to attack each other, then they used their horsemanship skills, before deciding to duel each other face-to-face like two gentleman. I never got to play this in this past. I hope Nintendo re-releases this on the Switch.

    The drums at the beginning are so good. Fught was easy but the tone that set and the simplicity of a sword duel makes this epic.

    • @GunnerZetto
      @GunnerZetto 5 лет назад +3

      @@tmpmisterix1479 because he is using the ganondorf amiibo (u take double damage for each hit), playing on hero mode (u take more damage as well), and he loses that mashing-button section on purpose to make it more cinematic
      this fight is easy

    I love the size difference between link and ganon here, He towers over link in height weight and more, Lmao link is just a kid doing this effortlessly, imagine him at full power, but yet the test of strength ganon does with him, Link actually had a fighting chance in that sequence, over all amazing game.

    I love it how the music in the background changes when link and ganon charge against each other with their swords...
    When link wins you get those heroic triumph trumpet sounds in the background and when ganondorf wins the charge it gives a villainous sound.

    Man, Ganondorf must be rightfully ticked off. You know, being the reincarnation of THE Demon King that opposed Hylia (despite failing) and yet, he's experienced the icy embrace of death so, so, sooooo many times.
