Well it’s pretty rare to even have a team in the draft w/ 2 top 10 picks so not too surprising. When it does happen it’s likely usually a QB & left tackle or QB & edge rusher. Not I. Same draft but Cincy took Burrow #1 overall & then Chase top 10 the next year

King Poles! 30 years of Bears games and by far this is the best draft ive seen. Crazy talent. People forget how horrible of a cap/draft pick position the Bears were in before Poles took over. There is a reason he is THE KING. He fixed a lot, and now we have a competitive roster for the first time in a while. BEAR DOWN.

Been a Bears fan since I was 8 years old and have never been this excited about a season.
I was more excited for the 2019 season cuz I thought we were gonna run it back

Looking back 5 years or so as a Bears fan, I remember screaming at my TV to get a new GM because of how hopeless the Bears have been for most of my life. I am glad Poles came in and can make me actually hopeful for the future of the bears
Hope the Bears come out blazing, I know it’s Caleb’s rookie season and there will more than likely be growing pains but I’ve never been this excited about a Bears offense

How is paying Sweat surprising? Why would we trade a 2nd rounder for a half season rental on a losing season? Paying him was the only reason that move made any sense. That’s kinda how Free Agency works Pat, most of the time you sign people who haven’t played for you before, why does it matter if it’s mid season when it’s a proven player lol? Respect. I think the Bears will be great this year (Bears fan but I am usually always right on expectations being realistic) but it all depends on how Caleb and the new OC do… Imo, the NFC North will be the best division in football
Us Bears fans having optimism for our offense is strange, for sure. Still think Green Bay and Detroit will be fighting for the division crown this year but the Bears should be a helluva lot more competitive than in the recent past.

It's a exciting time to be a Bears fan but I'm not going to put any expectations on the season I think we got a shot at being really good but until they show it I'm not going to buy it it starts with beating the Packers until we start beating them it doesn't matter and I've been hurt by this team so much over the years that they got to prove it
I think the Bears will be good competitors this year, contend for the wild card in 2025. At least now there is a possibility that every game will be entertaining/competitive.

I wouldn't quite agree that the offense is totally covered. Their center is below average, and they could use some more o-line depth, but they do have qb, te, and wr set in stone. Their line is by no means bad, but could use depth and an upgrade at the center position. I see Bates as a high tier backup.
Just said the same thing. They always went for skill position players on offense instead of stacking the O Line, its why no QB ever worked out. Caleb is different for sure though. But they need to give him at 2 seconds to throw to the stacked WR core.
If both those 1st round picks pan out bears are gonna be superbowl contenders in a couple years

They needed to draft O Line more importantly than an even more stacked skill position players. Its why no QB ever worked out there, or the Jets.

They upgraded the weaknesses on the O-line. Center and depth. They’ll be fine, plus not having Fields back there improves the O-Line. He had absolutely zero pocket presence

The reality is that that’s a bit of a myth. They haven’t killed QB careers. Jay Cutler had some of his most productive years with them. Trubisky had his most productive years with them. Fields, I believe, has had the most productive years he’ll ever have and it was with the Bears. They don’t KILL QBs. What they have been historically bad at is QB evaluation. So the jury is still out on if Caleb Williams is what they think he is but the reality is that neither Trubisky or Fields (the only two QBs they’ve actually drafted in recent years) simply aren’t high-caliber NFL QBs. They’re great athletes but not great QBs. But it’s not because of anything the Bears did other than they were wrong in their initial evaluation of those two young QBs.
Need to get more dominant with interior o-line. It is still not top-15. Exposed by teams like packers.
nitpicking is an understatement... but ok ill bite. First, the bears improved the IOL and the players they brought back should improve as well after not playing to their potential last year... add in the fact that Caleb is going to make them look even better and top 15 is a distinct possibility this year

They have built a heck of a team around Williams, but I will take it to my grave that they would have been better off long-term sticking with Justin Fields and trading back for a king's ransom.

Talent would help but he has issues with reads, throwing motion, release, patting the ball and pocket presence. Caleb does not. Leads receivers and makes Defense pay when plays break down. Notice the rest of the League about Justin and paying him. The Steelers did not. Watch Caleb Williams highlights 2022 and 2023 and in that one video you will see wizardry.
