I was gonna suggest cameraleather, but there seem to be issues with the company. Great video once again. Best wishes to you and your family, and keep it safe!
Great video. I purchased a new one in 1980 and still have it. It needs to be reskinned. I love this camera because captured many important moments of my life throughout the years.
I have the Yashica FXD quartz with a 50mm f2 lens. £12 from a charity shop. I reskinned it with a black kit. The Fxd has AE the aperture priority automatic feature as well. I have a Yashica Cs-201 dedicated automatic flash and the original case and owners instruction book. The camera looks like new and I love using it. The auto setting gets used a lot.
Hi! I have this Yashica Fx-7 and I wanted to restore it myself. I needs a reskin, new seals and some cleaning. Do you have a suggestion on how to do that or where to find those things (like the seals)? Thank you!
I'm glad it was of use to you. Ah to be honest I don't recall but it was a standard bit from a precision set. I don't think you'll have a problem finding one that fits.
Hi, re-skinnig is easy with pre-cut sheets, but I have problem with seals. I've purchased set of these along with new covers (when covers fall apart, so are seals - you have to replace it too), but then I realised that original seals in Yashica I own are completely gone, and I don't know which seal goes where. Any hints, please?
Thanks for watching my videos Piotr. Replacing light seals is not something I have had to do yet but I may have to soon. This was a video I found interesting. ruclips.net/video/X8XIVA1-37I/видео.html
My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Well I have have only tried the three that I own and I have never tried an exact comparison between them, but for me I think the ML 50mm f1.4. It gives crazy good results as far as I'm concerned without the expense of the Zeiss options.

That's a shame but there do seem to be a fair few others on eBay. Same to you Stevie, have a great one.

Very cool! Reskinning is definitely worth it to bring your old family member back to life.

Good choice! I'm sure it will bring you enjoyment.

Wow what a bargain. I can't wait for charity shops to open again and go hunting. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just got my fx3 a few weeks ago.. i absolutely found my camera! Are these C/Y lenses/mount? I saw a few things listed on different sites.
It really is a cracking choice. Yes any Yashica/Contax mount lens will fit which means there is lots of choice.

I would be having a go myself but if you're not confident then Google camera repair near you as there seem to be quite a few.
Great tutorial! Can I ask what screwdriver size you used to unscrew the self-timer lever?

can be place on the fx3 super 2000?

Hey a budy just gave me one of these and the film advance lever literally broke any idea where to get a replacement would a fx2 one work?
Aww man that's a shame. Yes I'm sure the handle off another would work but I'm not sure how to go about replacing it sorry.
There are several standard lenses available for the FX-3 which one in your opinion is the sharpest ?

@@sccjono Thanks.
@@mamiyapress My pleasure.
is the FX3 smaller than the FX2 it looks like it is from the video the FX2 is a bit cumberson at 145 mm
Yes it would seem so. I don't own an FX2 but the FX3 is 130mm.
Interesting video
Thank you.
