Picked up final battle last year (didn’t know they made the aot games!) and love it! I really wish they gave us a CC2 level game that covers the entire show and uses and improves on this gameplay! I’d even love a deeper persona aspect to it so you feel the impact of the character losses in the later seasons! Like imagine fighting all the titans on erens back and having a full on boxing match with armin for the final boss!! Would be SO sick!!
i have 500 hours on AOT2. I have owned it + all DLC for three years, and I still play it frequently. I still think it is a very underrated title; thank you for showing it publicity!
AOT2 has a demo you can play before you buy and its worth the play. Its actually a pretty lengthy demo so you get a great feel of what the gameplay is like.
2 things I love in this game. First person cutscenes and an OC that follow along the events of the story where you feel like you really belong in the corps and in the AoT universe.
If only they kept the created character around to go through all the seasons, expand on the friendship system maybe even add romances to expand on your favourite character’s story, it would be an awesome way to experience Attack on Titian.
What I love in the gameplay is how chaotic everything is. You're surrounded by titans, one of your teammates is gonna die so you either save them or run on a limited time, one of your friends is asking for help, a bizarre titan appeared in the map, there's a special titan running away or in a far part of the map that will give extra reward, you have to manage your gas and blade durability, you have perfectly aim for nape or the body part to lessen the damage on your blade, you have to dodge instakills, you have to dodge attacks, all of this happening at the same time.
So glad to hear someone else praising these games! I played the first one in 2017 and thought I was going crazy because nobody else was talking about how incredible it was. This and DBZ Fighterz are my fav anime games, easily
The little reticle to get criticals was originally not in aot2. You had to learn how to get crits without it. It came with the final battle update. However, it's not that aot2 punishes you for bad positioning, you don't need to hit the critical like in humanity in chains. It's that it rewards you for good positioning, and auto corrects bad positioning less than wings of freedom.

If they can fine-tune it and add more content, i might look into the next one if it ever comes out. What i'd like to see in a sequel or AoT game in general. Is faster ODM Gear. In the anime, it looks way faster than in the games. Make the titans faster and more crowded/packed like they are in the anime. Also i'd like to do lureing missions. Like in the female titan arc, where you got the different smoke signals and have to maneuver your squad. To avoid titans and lure them into a trap. I've just looked up all the playable characters for the second game. In a sequel i'd add a rifle class (people who's never used the ODM Gear) and of course a titan class. Where you can play as the various shifters. The rifle class let's you ride horses like usual, you can weaken titans as an assist and you can take out other humans. Considering there's more human vs human later on, this class would be more useful in these circumstances. For the regular ODM gear class, i'd have pretty much everyone there was in the second game. Though a few would be changed into the rifle class (i'll get to that). New additions for the ODM gear would be: Furlan, Isabel, Louise, Surma and Samuel. There's not many to add here really. Thunder spears would be reserved for the characters we've seen using them. For the rifle class, here's who i'd change: Pyxis, Nile, Zachary and Hitch. These characters are never seen using the ODM gear, so they'd fit more into this class. Here's who i'd add further: Magath, Willy, Falco, Gabi, Zeke, Pieck, Porco, Colt, Yelena, Onyankopon, Kiyomi, Niccolo, Mr Leonhart and Muller. Titan shifters: Eren (attack titan upgraded with armor and warhammer ability later on. Colossal titan at the end), Grisha (Attack), Kruger (Attack), Bertholdt (Colossal), Armin (Colossal), Reiner (Armor), Annie (Female), Ymir (Jaw), Porco (Jaw), Marcel (Jaw), Falco (Jaw, can upgrade to flying), Zeke (Beast), Ksaver (Beast), Pieck (Cart), Lara (Warhammer). These wouldn't be necessary but maybe Freida's titan or Founder Ymir's titan. Since you can create your own character, it'd be a cool addition to create your own titan shifter. Using features from all the different shifters, including from the ancient titans. As an example, you could create your own attack titan or beast titan, etc. For all the characters who's died in the story. They could make it so you can reach out to them in paths. Where you still do missions with them and they remain relevant throughout the entire game. Paths is the perfect mechanism. You can call them to your team during certain events and you can still interact with them like when they were alive. Also since AoT is very much about different perspectives. The story mode could include arcs from the opposite POV. Where as in the female titan arc, you play as Annie. Who has to capture Eren. After that, you unlock the female titan. Same with Reiner and so on. You get to play as all the different characters this way.
This game looks okay, but I wish a bigger studio would give this franchise the love it deserves in an open world game. Imagine if FromSoft tried to make an AOT open world game. A man can dream
I think now with the anime ending, I think a fighting game is possible. A roster of the 9 titans along with the past user variants opens a lot of possibilities. Just having the 3 past versions of each 9 gives at least a roster of 27. Imagine each titan variant has a unique class setting. The colossal and armor titan being the big grappler types, the jaw and female titans being the fast agile characters, the beast titans having ranged attacks, the attack and cart titan being a rush down character, etc. even having a founder titans like ymir and king reiss daughter being the all around do everything fighters like a ryu/ken. There is soooooo many possibilities with that. Then, you can have human fighters in a different mode. Fighting floch as one of the aukermans, or playing as a scout against the mp’s or jaegerist. Or being a marlyean soldier using ranged gun kata style gameplay. Imagine a dramatic finish with lord related finishers like playing as Gabi against Eren and finishing with a head or neck shot with a cutscene.
played the original attack on titan years ago on the PS4. Just recently got final battle. Was happy to see that they had the original campaign but man I didn't remember it being so hard to kill the titans. Glad to find out it was the game and I'm not just getting old.
I loved AOT2. I eventually just couldn't take how poorly it ran on the Switch cause it was making the game too hard for me to play, and I burnt out on it with how grindy it was to upgrade all the stuff I wanted. But it was such a fun gaming experience I still think back on it often, and very few games do that for me. I'm still considering getting it on my Series X to get into again
AOT finally being over feels so.... weird. It's been such a mainstay in pop culture for so long it feels so weird to see it's ended. I don't regret me hopping on the hype train one bit.
@@Peter_ParkedCarOne piece is generational anime for sure. But I don’t think it got through to normies like AoT did. This is not to say people outside anime culture do not read or watch it but Attack on Titan in 2013 single-handedly made anime mainstream & got the entire world hooked throughout the decade. That’s something similar to the game of thrones hype.
Got this game the final battle version for my birthday back in 2020 it was so good and due to us being on lock down I managed to complete the story line in less than a week!
Using titan transformations, or using Mikasa or Levi to perform a double takedown after the abnormal titan’s stamina bar goes down is an easy method I use 🤷🏾♂️
I will say, when I saw your gameplay, I noticed that whenever you attached yourself to a Titan, you never moved yourself around the Titan while hooked. Your positioning problem probably would’ve been lessened a lot if you manoeuvred your character after having anchored. A fun thing I always did was whenever I was anchored to the wrong body part, I would press X(on PlayStation) and that would cause your character to do an air jump, de-anchoring you from what your attached to. If you pull it off correctly, you can easily string multiple Titan kills together without difficulty.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you're mistaken about the aot 2 locking system. You can, in fact, lock into a part of the titan and then drift in the air while locked in that part
I just want to say bro I just coincidentally stumbled upon one of your videos a few months back and you’ve skyrocketed to being one of my favourite RUclipsrs… Keep up the amazing content
When I first played AoT2, I expected it to be trash...I ended up dropping 100+ hours on it and *loving* it. As repetitive of a game it is, I don't think it ever stops being fun. Recently rebought it on Xbox with Final Battle...and man, here's looking at another 100, it adds so much!
If they re-wrote the whole story, tho there are only 9 titans, but there is a mode you can play as a titan hunting within the walls. The added content for S3 is more of a mode where you play as one of the characters in the show since the self insert character cannonically dies in S2
Not sure if I just didn’t realize it but I didn’t see him do this but he should attach to the titan then get in the air to move into position it makes it easier I saw he did it in the first game but the 2nd one you can boost in the air two
Honestly the gameplay from the 1st game was already fun but when they implemented a custom character and blended them in the story without changing the narrative was damn impressive and I really loved it. If an AOT 3 game comes with this story implementation I am totally gonna play it. It's also for this reason that I found the SAO games boring except for the GGO game where we have a custom character and an original story, that was the only SAO game I enjoyed, others were been there, done that, seen it all.
I really enjoyed these games. The second one especially. They ended up releasing a huge expansion for free which was amazing. IDK how, but I hope they come up with a third game that covers S4
hi,i consider buying the game but would like to know which odm gear movement is the best ? 4:35 and 8:24 does this point make the odm movement "stiff" ? [i don't care about side content i only care about odm movement]
this game looks fun, only thing i would say is that the ui needs some work. I think having too much stuff on the screen also can be distracting. it'll be cool if weakness area could be highlighted with a different color instead of having the lock on thingy there.
I was thinking of picking it up again i played it on my xbox Now ive switched to ps5 i was considering it I remember the guns from final battle .. Holy shit they were op I remember 1 of the missions in the list at the bottom Its just jaw armoured female and beast titans everywhere And u can do this move if u locked on faraway enough u could shoot urself straight up in the air and u would be stupidly hi And using the battle signal with a few attributes u can could make it unlimited and just stay up hi and use laser guns and just decimate everything u had a nape angle on Incredibly op and it was such an awsome game i loved it From the makers of dynasty warriors too i thought they handled this very well i must say final battle was awsome
Love AoT2. I'm not a huge fan of the show "post wall" and after the big mystery was revealed so this game covers and pretty much nails the gameplay and initial concept of the show so well.
Final battle is 1 of the best anime games ever made really wish they make number 3 which has content after season 3 n the other new titans and locations and maps
Oh, I really hope the finish the whole anime with this games! They are amazing, I have only finished the Season 1 content in AOT 1, but it is great, one of the best anime game series no doubt ❤️
I had AOT 2 on my wishlist for a while. I wasn't to sure about the price so i naturally was really happy that they had a big discount for it on Crhistmas. I grabbed it and i really like the gameplay. I can pretty much agree with most things said. It reminded me of spiderman a bit too. The swinging around and killing titans is really fun. I haven't completed the storymode yet. But it's been pretty neat so far.
I've loved this series for a while now. I saw it back when it was new on TV. I was wondering why I didn't keep following it since around the time of the ending of season 1, right when the female titan made herself known. I guess a massive break between seasons 1 and 2 would explain it. Yet I never bothered to wonder if there were any games based on it (not for a while anyway). I guess the reputation anime games have would explain that too. I also usually don't lean much into licensed games anyway, since they also have a similar reputation. Now here I am learning about these games and seeing them in action. It's also funny, because I was imagining what an Attack On Titan game would be like not too long ago. These games aren't too far off of what I imagined.
@@krazykuz13cmc I'm 25. I started watching anime when I was 16. I didnt care for anime before I watched AOT. Is that a problem? Is there something wrong with AOT being my introduction to anime? If not, then don't assume anything.

"It plays so hard into the lore" *immediately after talks about all of these weapons that are non-canon and are basically fan fiction*... you ever heard the one about the Giant Enemy Crab? XD
You HAVE to try "Roarks Attack On Titan". Despite being only a small fan game, it has genuinely my favourite movement system in a multiplayer shooter. For those who have played Titanfall 2, its like that but with an even better grapple, its insane how good the momentum physics are and how much depth there is to the movement alone. Trust me, it plays so much better than it looks, such an hidden gem!!
My dad has always been obsessed with japanese culture so I grew up watching older shounens like yu yu hakusho, rurouni kenshin, inuyasha, fist of the north star, baki so I became a little anime fiend and took any anime related game I could get so I have over 100 hours played in both aot games.
I like first one better than the second. Playing as Levi and you can chain combos switch target after attacks is satisfying. I tried that with second game i couldnt and with change on controls its just weird
AoT would be an amazing choice for an asymmetrical multiplayer game. Have a shitload of titans on the arena, get one or two players that play as one of the eight titans and everybody else plays as scouts. You could even do team matches where each team gets one or two titans and everybody else uses ODM gear and the objective is to have your titans eat the other two, or something like that. Make it possible for the titans to turn into humans and play in ODM, and give them like an amount of transformations they can use. That could even lead into some sort of "find the impostor" mode where there's only one titan but nobody knows who it is, the titan shifter wins by killing every human and the humans win by either killing the titan shifter or killing all the titans in the map. I don't know man, I can think of many many ways in which a multiplayer AoT could work and be something really unique.
Your entire description matches with the gameplay of 2 already existing games Titan Warfare - A team based pvp game, like the star wars battlefronts games Attack On Titan Freedom War - A pvp multiplayer campaign that also has 2 teams, this game also features this "find the impostor" also a core gameplay element, since the enemy team (which play as the majority of the shifters like female, colossal, armored, etc) usually disguise themselves amongst the scouts team, and this isn't that arcade and is a bit hardcore, titan are an actual threat and you can easily die to them if you dont pay attention.
After the success of aot I hope they give the next game a big budget these games have serious potential. Hope they don't miss the opportunity for couch co-op.
when they make aot 3 i wonder how they would implement marley and guns it woukd be interesting and how would they they implement Pieck becuase she does not use ODM gear
In aot 2 you had assisted or simple control on if you turn that off in settings it becomes easier to get the yellow crosshair but it does kind of feel like the first game

AOT was anything but open world, they were stuck in a wall 💀
I cant see from software making an aot game gameplay wise lol
I still love aot2 to this day
I think now with the anime ending, I think a fighting game is possible.
Glad to find out it was the game and I'm not just getting old.
i have spent a ludicrous amount of time playing the 2nd one
I loved AOT2. I eventually just couldn't take how poorly it ran on the Switch cause it was making the game too hard for me to play, and I burnt out on it with how grindy it was to upgrade all the stuff I wanted. But it was such a fun gaming experience I still think back on it often, and very few games do that for me. I'm still considering getting it on my Series X to get into again
AOT finally being over feels so.... weird. It's been such a mainstay in pop culture for so long it feels so weird to see it's ended. I don't regret me hopping on the hype train one bit.
Imagine when one piece ends 😂 I think the long breaks of AOT makes the fact it ended a little more tolerable for me
@@Peter_ParkedCarOne piece is generational anime for sure. But I don’t think it got through to normies like AoT did. This is not to say people outside anime culture do not read or watch it but Attack on Titan in 2013 single-handedly made anime mainstream & got the entire world hooked throughout the decade. That’s something similar to the game of thrones hype.
@@santokun5835 that's true. AOT got me into anime for sure
Got this game the final battle version for my birthday back in 2020 it was so good and due to us being on lock down I managed to complete the story line in less than a week!
Remember when these games were a pretty subpar 3DS game first? That'd be cool to look back on
Using titan transformations, or using Mikasa or Levi to perform a double takedown after the abnormal titan’s stamina bar goes down is an easy method I use 🤷🏾♂️
You can, in fact, lock into a part of the titan and then drift in the air while locked in that part
yeah his gameplay was stressing me out lol
@@danthekidd me too ahah
I may need to try these games out AND binge the anime honestly
I just want to say bro I just coincidentally stumbled upon one of your videos a few months back and you’ve skyrocketed to being one of my favourite RUclipsrs… Keep up the amazing content
I just wanna say, and Im not the only who thought this, but the way your character and Sasha interacts really gives great shipping material
Thanks for this. Have been looking into them for a while and now that it’s on sale going to give it a shot.
Would be cool that in the third game (if there is one) you could be a titan shifter and get to customize your Titan
If they re-wrote the whole story, tho there are only 9 titans, but there is a mode you can play as a titan hunting within the walls. The added content for S3 is more of a mode where you play as one of the characters in the show since the self insert character cannonically dies in S2
They haven't gone down in prize with the anime just ending, but in 2 or 3 years I feel we'll see sales.
This team worked on Fire Emblem Three Houses and you can really see the similarities in AoT 2
They need to make a game covering the whole game where you are the hero throughout the game! I hate how they changed it in the last part.
Well to be fair your character died before they even added the expansion so not much chance they were returning 💀💀💀
@@lucianotapia840 in the end credits it is hinted that they have survived.
The way you described the gameplay was perfect
I really enjoyed these games. The second one especially. They ended up releasing a huge expansion for free which was amazing. IDK how, but I hope they come up with a third game that covers S4
hi,i consider buying the game but would like to know which odm gear movement is the best ?
4:35 and 8:24 does this point make the odm movement "stiff" ?
[i don't care about side content i only care about odm movement]
@@ZeBernaudausthose clips are from the first game, 2nd game is better in those terms in my opinion
now that the anime has reached its conclusion i cannot wait for them to drop the Attack on Titan 3 video game where it covers the 4th season.
this game looks fun, only thing i would say is that the ui needs some work. I think having too much stuff on the screen also can be distracting. it'll be cool if weakness area could be highlighted with a different color instead of having the lock on thingy there.
AOT was my Anime gate too 😂
I was thinking of picking it up again i played it on my xbox
Now ive switched to ps5 i was considering it
I remember the guns from final battle ..
Holy shit they were op
I remember 1 of the missions in the list at the bottom
Its just jaw armoured female and beast titans everywhere
And u can do this move if u locked on faraway enough u could shoot urself straight up in the air and u would be stupidly hi
And using the battle signal with a few attributes u can could make it unlimited and just stay up hi and use laser guns and just decimate everything u had a nape angle on
Incredibly op and it was such an awsome game i loved it
From the makers of dynasty warriors too i thought they handled this very well i must say final battle was awsome
Love AoT2. I'm not a huge fan of the show "post wall" and after the big mystery was revealed so this game covers and pretty much nails the gameplay and initial concept of the show so well.
I just watched the whole series for the first time and am glad to discover these games exist
Yo it's crazy you dropped this today. I JUST reinstalled this game. it's one of my favorites I can play the new update for hours at a time
Your channel is so good. Getting the notification that you uploaded is that one part of the day when my excitement is guaranteed
I just tried the demo after aot2:final battle after finishing the anime. I suck at it, but i love it. Def gonna pick it up
I've loved this series for a while now.
I can only imagine fighting the rumbling in AOT VR...
Seems like Attack On Titan is the reason why a lot of people watch anime today. Myself included. After that first episode, I was hooked
You must be young
@@krazykuz13cmc I'm 25. I started watching anime when I was 16. I didnt care for anime before I watched AOT. Is that a problem? Is there something wrong with AOT being my introduction to anime? If not, then don't assume anything.
It's a shame bc I would really love to get it but it's fr so expensive, I think this would be a good game for Gamepass
It's on sale on steam right now for like 20 dollars if you've got a decent pc. They timed a sale with the end of the seriee
Marty the harder titans adds difficulty and more strategy that’s why they did it
you missed the new pistol weapons, and sp attacks the gatling guns and explosive thunder lance
I cant handle the fact that pretty much any aot fan games are better than the official games, def the best aot game to ever exist is attack on titan freedom war
Matty, my boy, it’s not w-force. It’s ω-force, as in, Omega-Force
I was shaking my head...
Seeing the higher graphics quality of the ps4 version he's playing is mind blowing, since i had played the PS Vita version, not the ps4 version of the game.
Been dying for the third game since the end of the manga
"It plays so hard into the lore" *immediately after talks about all of these weapons that are non-canon and are basically fan fiction*... you ever heard the one about the Giant Enemy Crab? XD
Man when i unlocked the lazer guns i felt like a gundam zooming over everything
You HAVE to try "Roarks Attack On Titan". Despite being only a small fan game, it has genuinely my favourite movement system in a multiplayer shooter. For those who have played Titanfall 2, its like that but with an even better grapple, its insane how good the momentum physics are and how much depth there is to the movement alone. Trust me, it plays so much better than it looks, such an hidden gem!!
No shot!! I was just watching a review on this 2 minutes ago! (I played the game on ps4 years ago but I want it on pc now). How convenient
Here I am again, still don't have the game but I'm tempted
i love aot 2 i just finished replaying it after aot’s finale and it hit different
Taking down a bunch of titans with Levi’s wings of freedom was dope
My dad has always been obsessed with japanese culture so I grew up watching older shounens like yu yu hakusho, rurouni kenshin, inuyasha, fist of the north star, baki so I became a little anime fiend and took any anime related game I could get so I have over 100 hours played in both aot games.
I like first one better than the second. Playing as Levi and you can chain combos switch target after attacks is satisfying. I tried that with second game i couldnt and with change on controls its just weird
I hope there will be an AOT 3 game coming out soon
Yeah it would be cool if they made a season four add-on game. Being able to fight the Warhammer titan would be cool.
I think I'm gonna grab me a Final Battle copy on Steam by Christmas!
Thanks for the video!!
I used to be very active in the A.O.T playstation community, the game was fun like really fun I think I ended up with about 500 hours
Your entire description matches with the gameplay of 2 already existing games
Titan Warfare - A team based pvp game, like the star wars battlefronts games
Attack On Titan Freedom War - A pvp multiplayer campaign that also has 2 teams, this game also features this "find the impostor" also a core gameplay element, since the enemy team (which play as the majority of the shifters like female, colossal, armored, etc) usually disguise themselves amongst the scouts team, and this isn't that arcade and is a bit hardcore, titan are an actual threat and you can easily die to them if you dont pay attention.
After the success of aot I hope they give the next game a big budget these games have serious potential. Hope they don't miss the opportunity for couch co-op.
This game in vr would be amazing
when they make aot 3 i wonder how they would implement marley and guns it woukd be interesting and how would they they implement Pieck becuase she does not use ODM gear
In aot 2 you had assisted or simple control on if you turn that off in settings it becomes easier to get the yellow crosshair but it does kind of feel like the first game
I ended up pre-ordering attack on titan 2 final battle when it got announced; worth it
*The PSP had some nice fighter anime games currently playing FMAB and A Certain magical index*
