Atilio great to see you back making beautiful pictures. Don't be so hard on yourself. Even the great artist of the past did not get a Mona Lisa Just keep doing what you love
In the end, you did get a beautiful image from your efforts. More than that, we got to share some fresh time with you in a relaxed and casual visit. That is even better.
What is amazing, is that even admist all the distractions, you were still able to take a great photograph. It is also proof that no matter how much you plan, there will always be extenuating circumstances that are unavoidable. Keep up the great work!
È una grande gioia vederlo di nuovo in azione. Grazie per i tuoi meravigliosi videotutorials e immagini. Con i miei migliori auguri dalla Spagna: ¡ gracias !
The bane of landscape photographers! However, from one who has never been there, it seems like any evening at Lake Como would be a really good evening. Great video!
Beautiful sky and water reflection colours. I love the slow pan to reveal your final image. Bravo. You don’t need to feel embarrassed talking to your viewers. Once the bystanders discover the beauty of your work, they too will be in awe.
Dear Attilio it’s great to see you in action and manage those noisy Italian ladies asking for pictures 🤭. You have your magic touch, that’s something you can’t lose because you put your heart and soul into what you’re doing. I’m in a creative block altogether and totally dissatisfied with my photos and have put down my camera but still enjoy learning skills that may be useful for when/if I decide to pick it up again. Thank you for your frankness. And good luck with your injured foot.
Hi Attilio, nice to see you making photos and videos again. I always enjoy watching them when you travel to places that I have never been too. Best wishes for your speedy recovery.
The things that come as a suprise can be negative like the boat or the bachelorette party but can also be positive like a rare bird entering your frame or an amazing high cloud slowly rolling in during sunset giving a red color. These positives and negatives will balance out so next time you visit lake Como something positive will happen .. and I love the photo you took, the colors are amazing and the reflection is perfect.. and you know it is all about the experience and not really about the photo's. You are the LE king no matter how long you have put your camera away.
This is a lesson in adapting to changing circumstances, something we need to do on a daily basis. I actually like the end result of the single post, and of course the beautiful colours.
Love that long exposure image. like the video with the normal issues of people asking photos or the boat in the composition..real things that happen to everybody in the world.. thanks for including it in the video
Great to see you back and taking us with you as you refresh your considerable skills. It will be fun and we will all enjoy being with you on this journey.
It is great to see you have not missed a step Attilio. You clearly have the knack to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. I may have packed up and moved on with nothing to show for my drive up to Paradise.
I very much enjoyed this real life moment you shared with us. As you said, the interruptions and the unexpected changes in the shooting plan didn’t matter and so I just need to stop thinking about and get out and take pictures! Glad you are back!
I am glad you are back I missed your photography and lessons it actually inspired me to be far more dedicated to the passion of photography. I love the images, amazing body of work.
First...glad to see that you use the proper coffee brand! I love illy! secound...the skills are like riding a bike, once you learn it , you never forget it! third...that is a very expressive photo! Congrats Attilio...Cheers from Portugal!
Watching your videos always make me happy 😃 Somehow, in the middle of distractions; time running, women asking for pictures, boats that ruins the composition, etc. you are still able to create a beautiful image shoving the lovely scenery and sunset. It is a all in your mind, working memory, do this, do that, remember to compensate for decreasing light etc. I love to see you back, doing what you like and being good at it. Looking forward for the coming videos 🤗😊
This was a great lesson, even when things aren’t perfect and many things going wrong. You still are out doing what you love and still got a decent image.
Bel video, Attilio! In barba alla barca, al nubilato, alla gente, in barba a tutto. L'importante è uscire, trascorrere una giornata in santa pace, facendo ciò che più piace. Alla prossima.
I am grabbing my camera, stop filters and out of the door in 10 minutes after writing this. Thanks for the awesome and inspiring video Attilio Please share more of your art with us
Hello Attilio it is a pleasure to see you back at it again your photography skills are special, love to see those long exposure shots you do and this one although you said it’s not one of your best, it was for me. Hopeful someday I get to visit Lake Cómo looks like such a beautiful place.
"It isn't that strong, but that's not the point." (Or something close). I am burning those words into the back of my brain. While we always want to get "the" shot, I am constantly reminding myself that this is about the experience much more than the outcome. A beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Your favorite camera gear in front of you. Even from the US, I can feel the calm and tranquility of that place. And those colors behind the mountains were spectacular!
I am glad you are out shooting again. I am primarily a wildlife photographer, and your RUclips channel is the only landscape photography channel I am subscribed to. The reason is that your photos are some of the very few that create in me an emotional response. Your photos are absolutely beautiful and inspiring to me.
I too have been suffering from a creative block or lack of motivation when it comes to photography and other things. Fortunately seeing your videoes again has given me the inspiration to get back in the mood and go out and try. I think one thing that always affects me is exactly what i see in this video which is the tranformation. Often i see a sky that looks like the video footage you shot and i feel uninspired, but then after the long exposure and the editing you end up with another amazing photo. I am personally very critical of my own work and often doubt the quality of my photographs. I hope that I can challenge myself this year and improve my photography.
It’s great to see you in action, being one of my "masters" for photography. Lake Como is beautiful even if a bit crowded. I want to resume long exposure photography which, after returning to Italy, has stopped. Thanks for share, and great photo with a lot of mood.
Welcome back, great to see you posting again. Amazingly I am currently at Lake Como staying in Lezzeno, about 5 mile along the coast from Bellagio towards Como. I've been waiting for a good sunset to try to make this image but the weather hasn’t been kind, either very cloudy or hazy, and few clear skies with high cloud to create colour. Will just have to keep trying and hopefully get a result before returning home.
It is great for me to see that you are back Atillio. I have been following you from the beginning and you are my master, my inspiration to the most beautiful branch in photography: long exposure. Your wonderful stories in your videos about long exposure photography made me curious but also eager to learn about everything related to long exposure. Take good care, but most of all take good photos.
You could not have to deal with more last minute interference and obstruction unless it started to snow!! Great practice and nice image. Thanks for taking us along!!
Hi Attilio: Despite all of the issues that were presented to you at Lake Como, the image that you created is amazing. Great to see your energy in life and your enthusiasm for photography. Cheers, Keith
Welcome back Brother. So glad to see you doing the good and great things again. made my day. Have learned so much and been inspired as well. Thank you.
It's still a very nice shot! Some things are just behind our control. We all get it 8 out of 10 times. Most importantly, you are back! Can't wait for the next trip. Take care
Wisely said, “happy finding peace doing the things you like” … that’s indeed the most and truly one important thing that matters in the end. Glad to see you’re back, and of course, thank you for sharing your thoughts and learnings! Please keep up the good work and inspiring people as usual!
You said, "I am happy..." WE are happy to have you back on our desktop, pads & phones. Thank you Attilio for returning to this creative niche, that you possess with grace and style. One observation is that when that boat came to dock, I would have framed the comp to go to the right with the posts moving center-right, shooting past the boat...Perhaps, there was an obstruction on the sidewalk preventing your maneuver. Yes, I've had requests for pics when in the middle of a shoot. Thanks, again!
It’s so good to have you back, Attilio.. And I don’t know what you’re talking about. That was a nice shot. I’ve been going through a little slump of my own lately. I’m using this video as encouragement.. Thank You! And yea the way, nice T-shirt! I have one just like it !! Take care.. And, KEEP SHOOTING..
Welcome back, it's really a pleasure to see you at work. In this case, the important thing is not so much the end result but the process and the pleasure of doing something. If I can give a suggestion, consider Lake Orta, it has some really interesting points. And if you need a friend to talk about photography it will be a pleasure for me 👍
It's nice to see your long exposure photography again Attilio. I makes me eager to get out and do some long exposure landscapes myself once the weather clears. I was in this area in the early 1980's when I toured Europe for a few months. I love the landscape and history of Italy.
Attilio. So glad to see your back! We all go through the block. Im dealing with a divorce and its been distracting at best. When I do get out its always productive. You've been so intuitive for me. Thank you so much!
Ciao Attilio! Intanto... Bentrovato! È bello rivederti "sul pezzo", in una location poi che da tempo ho in lista! Spero davvero di incontrarti un giorno e magari aver l'onore di scattare due foto in tua compagnia!
I learned something from every video you made and I can't wait to post something new. I'm so glad you started taking pictures and videos again. For me, they are all beautiful. Congratulations!
Nice, to have you back - time out was obviousy necessary - and I still enjoy, and you're influence my work, Thanks for that and I'm waiting for your next nice tutorial and video, thanks and good luck.
You honestly make the most beautiful videos, please keep making them, you have a real talent.
Thanks 🙏
Atilio great to see you back making beautiful pictures. Don't be so hard on yourself. Even the great artist of the past did not get a Mona Lisa Just keep doing what you love
I will...thanks mate
It doesn’t need to be perfect every time. You still give me the motivation to get out and shoot. Thanks!
👍

It’s great to see you in videos. For a great photo you need a little bit of luck. But more important is that you have a great time.

Attilio!. So good to have you back "full time". I have missed your videos!.
Thanks Per!
The bane of landscape photographers! However, from one who has never been there, it seems like any evening at Lake Como would be a really good evening. Great video!
:-)
Thanks Attilio for sharing your re-start journey. Love it, and I'm motivated to re-start too. Best wishes, cheers!
Thanks 🙏
Great video, and beautiful photography Attilio, as usual. ☕😊
Thanks 🙏
I really appreciate your coolness with the visitors, Attilio. Plus the boat put a curve on your composition. But the resulting photo was A-OK.
🙏
Thanks
Beautiful sky and water reflection colours. I love the slow pan to reveal your final image. Bravo. You don’t need to feel embarrassed talking to your viewers. Once the bystanders discover the beauty of your work, they too will be in awe.
