how far does the weapon jr throw 1/2 oz to 1 oz lures? what do you think the sweet spot is on the rod? thank you!

Hi, depends on the lure type...being a fast action blank..it excels at throwing spoons/jigs (which is what i mostly fish with). Also good for softlures with jigheads and poppers (eg: 45g Halco Rooster). Not too great for lighter hard body stick baits..the quick recovery of the blank can cause some lighter (less than 3/4oz) hard body stick baits to tumble..Heavier (1oz+) stick baits cast decent. This blank (7"6 1/4 -1 3/4oz) throws 3/4 to 1 3/4oz really well...can cast a 1oz jig maybe 80m or more even on a windy day...I've tried casting up to 2oz without any issue...still throws it well...hope this helps!
