All of these look very promising, SMBNext, Super Mario Story and NSMBW: The Purple Coins standing out to me the most. I honestly had no idea it was even remotely possible that they could add all those SMG-style twists to NSMBW. Kudos to the creators of all of these mods.
Props to everyone for the extremely high production value, especially compared to other fan presentations. Enjoying the 1080p upload, the high quality cam and footage for NinTyler's bits (props to him as well!), as well as the HD trailers and good editing. Absolutely excellent!

The NSMB Wii: The Prankster Comets was something I didn't know I needed. As difficult as they were as a kid when I played, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and I can't wait to see how those levels can be changed with the comets. I immensely excited for that and the other mods coming as well!
This Modding Direct is such a great idea! I've had a blast playing several Mario mods over the years but it takes time tracking down the ones worth playing and trying to find out where to download them. I hope this is something you guys keep doing regularly.
@@ultimatebreak827 Haven't found many platformer mods for 3DS but Majora's Mask Restoration Project and CTGP-7 are both great. For the original NDS, there's Newer Super Mario Bros and Another Super Mario 3D and Phantom Hourglass with D-Pad support. For a hacked Wii, there's CTGP if you have an original Mario Kart Wii disc laying around. Otherwise you can get MKW Variety Pack. There's also Super Mario Sunburn which improves Sunshine and Newer Super Mario Bros. On the computer with N64 emulators Super Mario Star Road is fantastic. For original GB there are DX versions of Mario Land 1 and 2.

I feel bad I missed this! I knew it was today but unfortunately the timing ended up clashing with other plans I had. Regardless, this was a really solid presentation! I'm going to be 100% real with you guys but I also want you to hear me out fully, I (probably like many other people) have gotten sick of NSMB games likely due to Nintendo pushing so many NSMB games out back to back for a while a few years back. HOWEVER! These mods all look crazy! They are the exact breath of fresh air that this game series needs that Nintendo refuses to give it. These mods are nothing short of beautiful and their creators should be very proud of what they have made. I'm really impressed and proud of the work that the people in the NSMB community have done. On top of the amazing mods, the presentation here was top notch! Again, incredible job NSMB community! Keep up the amazing work! For the first time in forever, I can't wait to play a whole bunch of NSMB!

Will definitely be looking into Mario Next, seems to have a lot of new themes and looks interesting. All of the mods shown look well made but they don't have as much originality as Next appears to have, at least from the trailer This is coming from the perspective of someone who's bored with the NSMB games and wants something fresh from the franchise. New graphics, new gameplay, new themes etc, the way the old games used to iterate upon eachother

unfortunately, super mario story is now cancelled. ): it was my most anticipated project out of this whole moding direct because of its unique artstyle. i dont really know what happened behind the scenes but to my understanding it was due to some sort of disagreement between the devs. TMolter explained in a comment on one of his videos that he will be reusing assets from super mario story into another project he is currently working on.
