How scary the Chosen Undead must be for the bosses/enemies in the Souls series. You yourself might find dragons, Aldia's mutations, giants, twisted undead and anything else in the game terrifying, but imagine if your enemies were real creatures.
Imagine that. How absolutely terrifying it must be to see a powerful being such as the Chosen Undead return to try and kill you every time they die, without rest, again and again, until you ultimately fall as another one of his victims and are absorbed by him as nothing more than a form of currency and power.
The Chosen Undead is pretty badass.

You might fight monstrous demons wading through lava like the old iron king/ichorous earth - Duke it out with dragons and giant two-headed spiders or even a hideous amalgamation like The Rotten. But what really makes you shit your pants is a really resourceful, immortal and most of all, DEDICATED human.
All in all, we're pretty cool.
This is BRUTAL
What's amazing about the DS series is that your character is either the biggest badass of all time, whom you're describing, or just some schlub who died and never came back. It depends on the player -- do you want to be the one who gives up or the one who doesn't?
And everytime he dies, he just comes back angrier and more determined to fuck your shit up
Chosen undead is the protagonist only in Dark Souls 1. In the second one you are Bearer of the curse and the third one Ashen one
"Again, again, I come back." That's Dark Souls in a nutshell.
I just finished Dark souls 2 today and I can't believe how much deep I got in to it I started to playing it for fun but I loved it so much I spent almost 100 hours playing it!.... Also Shanallote is awesome I wish we will see her again some day at another dark souls game.

Pretty much, I like the dark souls difficulty, makes me want to keep trying and when I eventually succeed it makes the victory worthwhile.

There was a time, long ago, in the early days of Dark Souls, where I could take the time to bow to a black phantom who greatly outleveled me, knowing he'd be willing to bow back. I marketed the game to many of my friends on this beautiful relationship between strangers. I still meet respectable invaders now and then, who look for a duel rather than a easy kill, but as the months go by it's gotten rarer, as people loose fear of the darkblades. I now wait for the other to bow first, just in case.

I never played Demon Souls honestly :o the only Souls game I haven't finished. But I have over 200 hours DS and DS2, 100% achievements and now going for 100% in Scholar of the First Sin xD And I am currently trying to finish Bloodborne

I vote this song to be the final boss's theme, in good ol' orchestrated fashion. And the boss must not be Gwyn easy.
***** Name one Souls final boss that wasn't deliberately designed to be easy.
There's a damn good reason why. The team cares about the lore and if the lore shows a character is weak, then the fight isn't challenging either. Just take Pinwheel. Or... any other easy boss in the franchise, really.

Man if I ever have kids I just might make them play Dark Souls one and two. Because if there is anything I have learned or have had the lesson reinforced in me is that no one should ever give up. You just try and try and try and try and if you fail all those times that you should look at the situation with strength and courage and keep trying. No matter how hard it is. Because it's more than likely worth the effort.

I want a fixed party/ group play for DS2. So that you can have specific parties/ duels... Other than that, just hope it lives up to its predecessors. PRAISE THE SUN.
Well, not long now. So begins the isolation from all videos related to it, and the wait until I can buy it, seeing as I want a genuine Dark Souls experience (no pre-order items AT ALL)
I had the pre-order stuff. Did I use it? Nope. Not until I found it legitimately in game, but by then it's underpowered, so why bother XD
DJBloodVoid lol i laughed at what they did with pre order weapons and shields, they're basically the basic early crappy gear with some shit slapped onto it that boosts the stats slightly and half of it you can't even use at the start due to stat requirements and you can literally get better stuff 10 mins into the game if you know where to look. Gotta love fromsoft for that, those sneaky sneaky trolls

Only USEFUL DLC weapon is the Transgressor's Staff... but ONLY for hexers due to its requirements. But let's be real... at 20 Int/Fai (Transgressor's requires 15/12), you get the Sunset Staff when talking to Felkin which is usable at 22/20... and happens to be an end game staff upgrading with Twinkling Titanite. So even there, with the only useful weapon from the DLC, you can get a far better one not shortly after.
Bound Shield is a godlike shield for the beginning though.
