  • I install a Stromberg Carlson CC-255 Trailer Tray in my InTech Flyer Pursue off road trailer. I saved you all the pain of watching my struggle while drilling the holes in the support tubes. If you have access to a drill press your life will be so much easier! This is the most difficult step of the whole process. It's doable though, and I did it with a cordless drill, bits and step bits. The Stromberg Carlson CC-255 is a solid product that I find more useful than a tongue box.

All you have to do to use the front support is to cut the ends shorter so they are still on top of the frame and the support will be centered. I was wondering why it is too short to support the tray but it is because your bottom tube brackets are mounted too high on the A-frame. You could lower the brackets or cut the tubes to lower the tray. But if you are happy with it like that fine.

Thanks Joe! So yeah, I'm totally happy with where it wound up and how sturdy it is. Already did a 300 mile trip, no issues. Thanks for watching and commenting! This was my first video, and it shows! Hope you get to check out some of our other stuff. Cheers!

No. question that the quality is great and well built. But unfortunately building something so heavy-duty comes at a price and that is weight. This complete set is so heavy I had difficulty lifting it off my porch once it was delevered. For a moment I thought I throw out my back. Now what does that mean? Well, if you're concern about tongue weight and not to mention the added weight of a heavy generator, then you might want to reevaluate adding to your front "A" frame. I noticed that none of the reviews I saw mentioned anything about the weight. Please don't get me wong, if quality and heavy-duty is what you are looking for then look no more. As for the instructions they could have been writen a little better. First, they have a complet diagram of where all the parts are to be connected. However, the hardware is another story. You have to go back in forth from the front the single page of instructions to see which of the hardware goes where. They could have simplified it by just adding the letter of the part next to the digrame part. Even though its pretty much a plug and play, you should have two people.

All valid points and observations. Not sure they had small trailers like the Pursue in mid when they designed these but it worked out pretty good for me. I do agree that fighting tongue weight is a real thing on the Pursue and I try to load it lightly. I only place the generator on it once I have the trailer parked to camp.

Exactly my toughts.........RV makers try their best to reduce tongue weight ..and there we go adding 300Lbs .I am still not sure which way I will go
