      @@AbroadInThailand Haha yes! I'm about to move near Bang po though, I found another house for 12,000 baht and its in a very beautiful area. Taling Gnam is entirely too far away from supermarkets and I am too afraid to ride a scooter, so I take Grabs everywhere and the cost is eating me alive. So yes, I will move closer to the other side on Wednesday.

    Taxi Mafia is an issue in Koh Samui. A taxi driver got killed. They don’t like efficiency of Apps. That is why the prices are so high. Tourists get scammed daily.

    It must be nice to have Koh Samui feel familiar and just like home. Maybe you are an island man. That is your groove. Do you think a family of 4 can live on Koh Samui for $2500 USD per month? ( 3 month stay ). Seriously thinking of doing it with the familia. Yup.

    • @AbroadInThailand
      @AbroadInThailand  Месяц назад +1

      On this budget it's definitely doable, yes. You can rent a 3-bedroom house in a nice area for around 50,000 Baht per month. That still leaves an extra $1000 per month for other expenses.

    I've been to Koh Samui in 2013. It was ok but I wouldn't live there because it just came across as too much of a party island to me.

    You will see the difference in 5 years when you comeback to the Philippines, our infrastructures are more reliable and efficient, Modern Subway train system and high speed rail in that time when they have finished, these are all connected to the airports of a manila and clark and are all under construction right now. Also consider that the Philippines is one of the most English speaking country in Asia and is convenient for you to communicate without any translator. We have also the world's Most Beautiful white powdered sugar sand beaches and amazing coral reefs that was recognized by UNESCO. Your previous visit to the Philippines, it added you more subscribers and viewers , You should be grateful and thankful. You should say something also about positivity in the Philippines that you experienced too, not only the elevator that didn't work. Sorry that's only my opinion but thank you for coming to the Philippines.!
