This adorable little pirate pattern has been updated. In this new set, you'll get the jacket, pants, and boots! I've also included how to make a biker gnome, a Santa gnome, and a zombie in the pattern: shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/gnome-jacket-pattern-pants/
Hello, when you cut the glitter foam buckle center, cut the center out first then cut the buckle. Safer for those clever fingers of yours. Love your lessons.
Sandra Easley I’m just so happy I found other people who love the little guys as I do. Thanks for watching and for the kind words, Sandra. I have a big ‘ol smile on my face right now. 😊
Oh boy! I'd like to spend just a day in your mind! Do not know how you come up with your ideas, but love them all! I'll wait for the biker gnome (hint, hint!). Ty so much for sharing all your designs-I look forward to each and every one!
Thank you so much, Darla. He's front-and-center still in my craft room because I love him so much. I failed at the first couple attempts, so he's a winner in my eyes, too. ;)
@@SarahNenniDaher wouldn't miss it! You make the cutest gnomes I've ever seen, you're pretty much the reason I'm addicted to gnomes (that sounds funny, but I think you get what I mean) because you make them so easy to follow the directions, the materials are easy attainable, and you make it FUN! My husband reminded me of a gnome the first time I ever laid eyes on him (true story! 😂) so I'm partial to them for personal reasons. 🤷♀️☺️
@@SarahNenniDaher well he's kinda short, he had a crazy beard, mustache and semi long hair, all I could see was his eyes...lol wasn't sure about him. That was 12 years ago. 🥰
This guy is beyond cute! I love all your gnomes! Thanks for sharing them with us! & yes! I plan on making a couple of your gnomies ... but, in the midst of separating sewing from craft! Turned out to be quite a chore!
Whew, that does sound like a chore! I "organized" my craft room the other night for 3.5 hours... turns out, I moved stuffed around and was reminded of all the projects I haven't yet made. LOL
Sarah Nenni-Daher yessss! I have a lot of PHDs. That’s part of the reason for separating sewing from craft....when I’m in the mood to sew, I have to clear away crafting & visa versa..... so I spend more time putting things away, then doing! Once separated,I can spend a day sewing without having to worry about craft getting in the way of or messing up fabric & if I’m in a crafting mood, I don’t have to put sewing away to get creative! 😋. Plus factor of major clean outs is finding all the stuff you were working on that got “cleared away” and never brought back out! 🤣😂
Thank you so much for showing how to make the pirate! I love it! I am new to "Gnoming" and people are begging me for different ones. I made the tiny ones using kids gloves and gave them away at Christmas and that's where I got my start! Anyway, I really appreciate your showing how to make the Pirate & I am going to make him for me! Looking forward to getting more of these adorable little creatures made in the near future!
You are so welcome and so glad I could help. I am just amazed I get to share these with everyone. Let me know if you have any questions - the Facebook group is a great place for ideas and help, as well. facebook.com/groups/diygnomesandcrafts
Have fun! You have so many options. I kind of wish I would have tried his jacket with a bit of leather (I don't have any, so it would mean a trip to the craft store), but I think it would look amazing with a dark brown leather coat.
Sarah Nenni-Daher Maybe I’ll have to make two of them! I love the dark blue you used and was going to look for something similar. I’ll try to send some pictures! Thank you, for being so generous with your patterns!!
He is so neat and so cute. As soon as I can back to the gnomes I am going to try him. Course gotta check my stash to see if I have the stuff. Thank you!!
Please do! He has been the talk of the neighborhood around here because of the details. Hope you can make him soon, Patsy. Thank you so much for being here with me and watching.
He's not hard, but plan for some time. All the details made it a little more lengthy of a gnome build than I normally do. Thanks for being here and watching, Susan!
Use the hot glue stick as the leg? I suppose you can - great idea. Because I have so many, however, I wouldn't be able to because I'm afraid in storage (in the attic) the leg might melt. :(
@@SarahNenniDaher No, no, no... I should have been more specific. Use a dowel and let hot glue run down the side to look bumpy like wood. Then paint. Glue stick as leg.... 🤣. You were so polite.
