FYI, your Aunt Tammy drove Aunt Bonnie home. We did take water with us, we just ran out, given the extended amount of time it took us to finish the hike.
The term “poopdeck” originates from the French word “La poupe” which means stern. It is a cabin on the stern of a sailing ship. The toilet was actually in the bow of the ship.
There is a Poopdeck restaurant in the Bahamas 😄 I grew up on Whidbey! Love Cranberry Lake SP and Deception Pass area. So beautiful. InReach satellite communicators have an emergency evacuation insurance portion too. Those dog pee people. Argh. Safe travels.
We cruised to Alaska, in May this year, leaving from Seattle. I find the city very different since visiting 5-6 years ago. Not unsafe, but on guard more.
Wow! So sorry to hear about Jason having health problem with his neck and lymph nodes. Glad he’s better. Glad you found a good hospital in Alaska to go too! I will pray that he stays well. I hate to hear anyone not feeling well. I know what it’s like to not be able to move your neck I had muscle spasm there and I have a glandular problem that gets swollen from time to time. It had not done so though in a long while. Thank goodness. When I get that I can’t even talk and it hurts to swallow. But I’m so glad Jason is feeling better. And he dud not have what I had. Love you guys!😍😍
He’s doing much better but this is definitely a slow heal. I’m so sorry you’ve suffered from pain in that area, it seems so incredibly painful and just won’t go away. Here’s hoping you stay healthy! -A
Say Jason, I have a brother-in-law, his last name is Epperson. I’m just wondering if you have any family members in the central valley of California. Hehe And yes we have some neighbors with pets that would Pee on our picnic table. They said they actually thought it was theirs picnic table. So I asked them why would they need two picnic tables, looked at me. And once we had a family that had three motorcycles, and they would park their motorcycles on our area and start them up in the morning and stink us out with the exhaust. We had to get the part manager involved they left. Safe travels.
Glad you got over to Whidbey Island and the Pass. My wife grew up there and we have been back many times visiting family. Always beautiful views there. Have fun in Alaska, just a bit envious, it definitely is on our buck list.
Hi guys. That’s exactly why we only said « hi » this morning…we understand that you/we all need our privacy time and didn’t want to impose. We kind of knew we would ran into you guys at some point on our trip, up the Alaska coast, and we are certainly happy that despite all of those « rude » Individuals with dogs…you are having a good time! We will continue to follow that etiquette of respect with others, and will follow your adventures :-) Remi (the 2 french Québécois walking by!) 😊
Ohhh gosh, we would have be so happy to chat. It brightened my day to have you say “hi” (I’d just dumped my smoothie on the ground and spent some time cleaning it up) so thank you for the smiles. Please stop by if you pass is again! Hope you’re having a wonderful time in Seward! -A
@@RVMilesPodcast Indeed, it would have been nice…but we had to go to the next step! Alaska: a great destination but it’s big!!! Hope your stay was joyful! Ours was very nice…that Exit Glacier Hike! Wow! Remi
New 2022 GD 2600RB & new F250 and first trip out in 2022 we didn’t make it from home in the Texas Hill County to Savannah. My wife broke her ankle in three places, so a Louisiana Hospital. Then a 12 hour RV run with my ‘three surgeries of not so repaired back’. She is up to her third surgery so far and they are talking ankle replacement. Third trip out and I had a four days stay in the Lubbock Hospital; 10 hour RV run home with 2 feet of tube and bag, 18” of string tied to a kidney stint which I had to pull out myself once I got home, all three feet of it. Two out of three - cannot wait to start that forth RV trip.😅
I'm here in Texas and go to Starbucks all the time. I was pretty miffed when they changed the pricing and star structure. But at least double star days last longer. I've never heard of the Starbucks Reserve store before but now that I have, I looked it up and there is one in Dallas! One more thing, I want to see pictures of Jason in his knight costume. 😆 Seriously, since I can't make it, I hope there will be lots of pictures!
@@RVMilesPodcast I went yesterday unexpectedly. It was a HUGE disappointment! It was no bigger than some of the independent stores but on top of that, it's been decided that it's going to be turned into a regular store so they weren't serving any of the Reserve stuff and they were running out of some of the regular stuff. However, there's another Reserve location in Plano, which is a little north of Dallas so I wouldn't be surprised if it was more like the large ones. We might try that tomorrow bc that's still within a range we'd be willing to drive...the only other one in Texas is in Austin and that's a little too far.
Pike place is fun glad we went on a weekday, I don’t like big cities or crowds. And almost puked at the gum wall, it’s a little disgusting. I guess when you live in a big city you want to get away from all the crowds
I think there are crowds and there are CROWDS and we definitely had the latter during our visit. The energy of a big city can be rejuvenating and so fun, or it can be a chaotic nightmare. Love when we get the rejuvenating day. -Abby
Yikes the him on the wall does look gross. I do you put your gum where others put theirs? I have never seen that before. Or heard of that. I guess it kind of sort of looks decorative! Lol! 😂😂
Jason and Abby I hear you on the campsite where people’s dogs pee on your steps. That is gross. I have I have a dog and I try not have have him per in their yard which he doesn’t! But these people they are not rule players. Someone walking through Jamie and Clays camp that is so wrong in many ways. I myself am nit sure how that wallet works on iPhones. I never used mine. Abby I agree with on the poop deck street name. That’s bad. Where those dogs peed on your steps that street should pee deck. Lol! 😂😂🤣🤣That is weird with street names like that! Abby can you give me the name of that book you mentioned again please. I want to see if I can get it and read it. Thank you! Love you guys and see you soon! Safe travels.
It's pretty common for preteens and young teens to want a pet. I think it's related to going through puberty and feeling emotionally isolated or "misunderstood" by the rest of humanity. Pets give a kid unconditional love. I think you are doing your sons a disservice.
I am a FMCA member and the Roadside Rescue worked great the time I needed it.
I’m glad it was there for you but I’m so sorry you needed it. -A

Ahhhh, thanks for clearing that up, Mom!!

My brother lives in the LA area. He's not married though. I don't think I have any other relatives in CA!
It looks really nice there at the park and that water looks beautiful. Nit bad for hook ups.
That sounds like you all had fun on the ferry boat going to Washington and had fun in town. It looked like fun.
We had a great time!

Medivac flights are notoroiously expensive, and insurance usualy only covers a portion of the highly-inflated costs.

Wow!! That's rough. Hang in there! It's just coincidence! Its not the RV's fault! I think...
So glad you see the beauty in being in Homer! Homer is one of my favorite spots in Alaska! Did you go fishing or get out into the bay?
Because J wasn't feeling well we didn't really get to do a lot in Homer so that just means we'll have to come back! -A
I just joined FMCA today, August 2, and got the discount
Glad you were able to take advantage of that!

You guys are too kind not calling out your neighbors or perhaps sending your 3 sons over in kind…lol
You KNOW you need a Dachshund like Ronni, right? 😉
❤️❤️❤️
Beyond just having a first aid kit, you should invest some time and learn how to use it for common emergencies.
I’m so sorry your camping neighbors were so inconsiderate!

Rural medicine 😢
