Nice, but wouldn't it snow or rain through the top and even through the door opening? The heat goes away so this is not permanent, only temporary shelter. Not even overnight. We built exactly identical tents in the forest when we were kids of 8 to 12 years old with wood sticks and moss and a bit of wiring or rope. We had pirate flags made (sewn) for us by parent. And it was real war between gangs with sticks, stones, sling shots etc.

A typical native American TeePee has the same sort of smoke hole in the top. I agree it does need a door
