Egg sac removals and pairing videos are my absolute favorite. I wish humans had webbing and could just create somewhere safe for our babies to hang out when we need a break.

When i saw them all loose inside the biv I thought “Daves going to struggle getting all those caught up and into their container” only to be completely wrong. It just goes to show how much having experience helps in situations like that.

I love the egg sac pulling or sling herding (in cases like this) almost as much as the pairing videos. Both are very satisfying to watch, knowing that this is all due to your outstanding husbandry of these fascinating creatures. I'll wait impatiently for many more in the coming weeks from you Dave and Camera lady :)

I forgot to comment on this one last night. Imagine ' me ' thinking dozens of baby spiders are cute! Didyou mention they are not quite slings yet? At what point are they called slings? Amazing that they start spinning right away. Mom is stunningly beautiful. Ah.. I see, spiderlings become slings.

Dave, I have to say I find your videos amazing. As someone who loves all creatures "great and small", spiders 🕷 were never my first choice! But your passion for these little beasties is an inspiration and education. Me and my three kids now love watching your videos (vlogs). My Mrs and mum are still terrified! Lol. But me and the kids love your saying "Be calm, be gentle, and love your spider" Absolutely brilliant mate 👍unfortunately, it's a goldfish for now in a tank 🙄. We have two dogs, so enough for us atm. But we will keep watching as long as you keep posting the vids. And we definitely love your spiders! 👍

I've got one called Midas, I got her last year as a tiny little sling. I'm not sure if she is a huge sling or small juvey lol. But she's gorgeous, the blue and gold colours are just so pretty together. I ripped her last moult trying to open it up but I think Midas is a girl.
I'm so happy because my Obt Bunny is definitely a girl. I finally got a decent moult to confirm. I was hoping Bunny would be female so I'd have her a long time. She is really shy & not defensive at all.
My H pulchripes is really brave, she comes out her webbing & sits there out in the open waiting for me 2 feed her. I love just watching them to see their characters emerge xx

Hey Dave, great video. I found this medical tape, it's a breathable tape for covering sutures. I bought some because it looked just like the filter material that comes on the top of fruit fly deli cups. I use it to keep fungus gnats out of my springtail cultures. The stuff works really well, and allows an exchange of oxygen, but it doesn't let a "breeze" through it. I tried using some on my vents for isopod enclosures (again to keep out fungus gnats and fruit flies), but some of my isopods tend to prefer more flowing ventilation.
