I forgot to mention that I've seen this done with mohair and acrylic, but wanted to test if it works with a natural/synthetic blend! Turns out it does with a bit of work
A pet brush or a soft boar bristle brush would work much better than anything that has those inflexible metal spines! The pinheads on them are probably stretching things out more than necessary! Good luck
I would look at a boar bristle brush. I think a dog brush like others are suggesting would get caught on the stitches. You need strong, course but flexible bristles.
That's fair! I’ve seen this work with mohair and acrylic (separately) but it was worth it to find out that the technique works with blends as well hehe

If you use a wire dog brush you’ll get a super fluffy texture!
THANK YOU i just found one and it works so much better!! Definitely using this from now on
Dog wire brush+ boar bristle hair brush. The wire brush gets it fluffy and the boar bristle smoothes it out without breaking the natural fibers.
That's what I was going to say! I got a freaking dollar tree dog brush and it is great
I was going to say the same, I use it for doll hair.
Like other people have said, use a dog brush. Also you dont have to go super hard or you could risk snagging some yarn!
Learned this this hard way🥲😅 definitely sticking to the dog brush from now on!!

You could use a boar bristle brush to brush it out! It’s basically a giant toothbrush.
Maybe try a smaller gauge or tighter stitches, like single crochets, so that they dont stretch that much. Brushing looks so fun but so daunting haha
You need a dog slicker brush. It will work best.
Use a wire cat brush💕 I've literally never used it on my cat, only on yarn, lol
I had 1 for crochet and 1 for my long hair cat but now I just have 2 for either 😂
Good idea 😊 I would just use mohair yarn though 😅

Loooove hobbi. Im using their cotton yarn rn and it's so pretty!
Just add a mohair yarn and crochet them together
Girl, use mohair! It literally give you the fluffy effect without all that work and stretching
What cosplay is it for? 😊
I'm keeping it a secret until I'm sure that I can actually finish it😅🤞🏼
Dog hair brush or rake
Try a cat brush!
you ruing a beautiful yarn by brushing it! why!!!!!?
But why would you do that😭 Ruining perfectly structured yarn!!!!
