I'm glad you have messaged Helen x Once the live chat is over I can't add any comments. These diamonds are basically just like jelly, you place them in the fridge to help it set faster. Obviously when you take them out there will be some condensation and it did not effect them at all. I have loads left and they don't look cloudy. Now isomalt is another story, the sugar does easily get effected by humidity and its very difficult to work with. I absolutely LOVE this new product by ingenious edibles, it's easier to work with and they look lovely x

Hello, Rachel. I’ve been considering buying a tub of this because I need to make a bling cake and want to make an edible glam ribbon (I don’t like those glam ribbons that are popular but not edible). I wondered if this would stick to a strip of edible lace that I could then wrap around the cake like glam ribbon? Or drape on a cake?

I have never tried it but i would stick the lace to the cake first and then add these edible diamonds. As the weight of them would risk ripping your cake lace if you were to stick them on the lace first and then pick it up to add to the cake. This way you will litterally just be doing what i did in this tutorial and sticking them to your sugarwork x

Rachels Enchanting Cakes: Thank you for the quick response, Rachel. I did think of that. I actually made lace that is a bit thicker (a la edible paper) by spreading the lace mixture on the back (smooth side/no texture) of my lace mat. I plan to cut a strip from that and arrange the diamonds on it. I am hoping the IE diamonds won’t be as heavy as the ones made with isomalt since the IE is gelatin like. I really would like to make an edible glam ribbon if I can. 😊
