    Beautiful, looks so real and as you say it looks more natural because of the way the petals have been attached. You said it doesn't take too long, obviously you're skilled at this, but roughly how long would you say it takes you?

    • @CakeNation
      @CakeNation  5 лет назад +1

      once you get into the swing of it I would say its around 30 minutes to do one from start to finish. You could probably do a few at a time which would allow for drying time...x

    • @CakeNation
      @CakeNation  3 года назад

      It was the middle one from the set of 3. If yours isn't big enough to cover, dont worry, you can simply stretch the petals or cut the centre out and just use the petals for the same effect x

    Remember that when you finish dusting, you then need to boil an old fashioned whistling kettle til steam is coming out of the spout. Twirl the freshly dusted flower for a few seconds in the steam. This will set the colour and take away the dusty look, the flower then looks even more realistic

    what size poly ball did you use. Also I've tried using Renshaws modelling paste and the bigger petals fall back and fall off.

    • @CakeNation
      @CakeNation  6 лет назад +1

      2cm poly ball...you could add a bit of normal fondant into the modelling paste to make it a bit more flexible...once the petals are stuck on the back you can hang upside down for about 5 minutes which allows the paste to set a little, then always place with something supporting the underneath, either foil or a flower former until dry x
