I made 278$ including a 50$ cash tip today from 8am to 2pm. 2 Customers added tips (20$ and 7.77$) after I handed their food to them. Probably the best hour rate of the year! I had a santa hat and was super festive... wishing everybody happy christmas I know that helped for shure. The 50$ tip was a hand to me and when she opened the door she already had the money in her hand so it was premidited an absolute beauty!! You can dirty stack walmarts but don't make the customers wait for their food at the expence of your greed. Happy christmas old man, wishing you the best!

Chuck, you did the right thing those things cost anywhere from $400-$600 depending on the model I would’ve done the same thing knowing that they said that they didn’t receive it then they deactivate you.
Merry Xmas Chuck!!! Worked Xmas eve, and made $167 in 3 hrs 20 mins, which is about $51 an hr, and drove only 64 miles ($2.60 per mile). Had back to back catering orders. Did 8 orders altogether 5 being catering (Chinese food). Then 1 subway, 1 Panda express and a Mod pizza that were about $24 altogether and stopped after that as low ball offers started to come in. You know the ones, Taco bell $2 for 13 miles. lol
You did the right, moral thing delivering what you knew was a fairly expensive Apple product! If I ever had a door dash order I would be very happy if that person were like you! Although I live in central Florida and not Brandon/ Valrico area anymore, so not likely that if I were to ever place an order it would be you specifically. Uber has been sending me a bunch of Walmart orders lately. Waited at the pickup for 3 hours, but ended up making $80 for that one trip so it was worth it. Shipt has been good, but had a lot of no tippers for shop & pay on Christmas Eve. What is wrong with these people ordering over $200 worth of stuff, but can't even tip their shopper a couple bucks on the holidays??
Christmas Eve was very profitable for me. I worked 9am to 1pm and had a few generous tippers including a 9$ cash tip on a McDonald's order that already had a 10$ tip on the app. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Chuck. Chuck i have learned by doing UPS deliveries and spark . Some people appreciate when u knock or ring ther doorbell when expecting packages. Most people don't want to be bothered
Just follow the customer directions, if he wanted a hand to me he would have said so. He probably wanted to quietly slip out and get it without his wife knowing

In my area DoorDash has been terrible since Thanksgiving. I had no choice but to take instacart orders in the days leading up to Xmas. It was literally a nightmare before xmas.
Chuck I am from Louisiana, I now live in Georgia. Growing up, myself and EVERYBODY I knew ALWAYS pronounced it MACDonalds You are so right, I have NEVER eaten a Big Mic! LOL
The last UberEats order probably would have went up, especially since it said catering. What you could have done is accept it, and look at the order. If you see that it’s a huge order, you can go through with it. If it’s like two sandwiches, you can just un-assign, and select that you couldn’t find the restaurant, or excessive wait time, etc. I do this when I get potentially great offers from expensive restaurants that I’m on the fence about, because they’re high mileage or just going to areas I don’t want to go to.
Chuck, I absolutely love the way that you’re getting in the groove with multi apping … that’s what we have to do to make this work. I know you’re a little concerned about having the channel turned into too much spark, but I think that’s the way of the future that in order to drive you have to be willing to jump around and that is showing the reality of it on RUclips.

To be honest, they aren’t the highest paying in terms of miles to dollar ratio, but there isn’t a single customer I’ve delivered to that regrets getting their lost luggage back. In fact, they make you feel like a hero.

2019 to 2020 I use Uber every day to get to work and home always let the $5 tip for every driver it was only a 3-mile trip from my home to work and work and work to home
I always count my tips for the following day for spark i only add what i actually make for the day with them cause I've had a couple people change their tips.

I can’t complain today for being Christmas day and limited places being open I made 265 bucks on DoorDash with 75 of it coming from catering orders but overall has been a great three day holiday weekend close to $1000 in three days

Every time I deliver heavy items, I think of it as getting paid to work out. You should see some of the stuff we carry for Veho. 30 pound boxes of HelloFresh can you get 20 to 30 of those boxes in your car at a time

@srdking079 If they dont want a knock or doorbell wrung, they put that in the drop off notes. Ive found that many dont monitor their apps to notice when groceries are dropped off. Perishables need to be brought in quickly (ice cream, frozen items, etc.). It just makes sense to knock!

If you are going to be doing lots of Spark orders, maybe look into getting yourself one of those collapsable wagons to make hauling the heavy items easier.

Trust me I live about 45 minutes away from Sarasota and I dash in that area and it’s slow most of the time I’ve been to Tampa once and watched someone get rear ended right in front of me that’s when I said screw this I’m going back to Sarasota.Bradenton area to do DoorDash I did DoorDash full-time last year it was OK and yes you are right. I did make really good money last year at the end of the week during Christmas week. I had made a little over $800 for five days which was really good just delivering food and that was just doing DoorDash. No Uber eats no GrubHub.
And yes, it’s a possibility for Uber eats order could’ve gone up from 16 It takes about an hour for it to kick in. If the customer wants to tip you more they will if they want to keep their tip the same they can they can even tip bait you so be careful with that but yes, there was a day where I was doing Uber eats and I think it was like 10.50 for 6.7 miles an hour later the lady left me a $16 tip so that brought my total for that order for 6.7 miles was $26.50 not bad! I have a W-2 job doing Landscape making 20 an hour. It’s OK I like doing it for the most part but I do miss doing DoorDash full-time being my own boss.
You either need to get a little flat bad cart like udm delivers uses or a cart like Nola grind has. Hate to see you have to walk everything from the driveway to the door one by one. I got a dolly for the day i may have to bring 3 to 5 cases up 3 flights, thankfully haven't had to use it and for the catering job i got that flatbed cart.i think i used it to bring 3 cases of water and a few groceries into some loft apartments. Come to think of it i think it was 5 cases. Phew. I can only imagine carrying 3 cases and then going back to the car for 2 other cases and the bags. Lol Jesus.
lol a couple months back I got a Macy's order from doordash...It said don't call, knock ring. I called the customer anyway she told me to just leave it at the door. I hung it on the door handle and it was like a $500 dollar jacket. I couldn't believe it../
lol I never do shopping... got 2 from ubereats yesterday ... accidently accepted and unassighned it is never worth it in my opinion, has to be atleast $25 plus and under 5 items max but it is never matches that criteria.
I will give you some more info too you can actually get doordash to opt you out of red cards so it doesn't effect your acceptance rate but it does more then that I think they have flags on the stores like red card or not. Not bye delivery type. So after a couple days I called back asked to be opted back in and the order volume went back up.
For me the best single night of delivery has been valentines day the past 3 years on app delivery. Christmas eve was garbage this year.... shopping for 2 customers, 25 items going 7 miles for $12???? Yeah no ...get your own crap bah humbug.....that was typical last night... ridiculous.
Hey Chuck, McDonnell orders are great. Do you know why sometimes you’ll come across one that’s been sitting there and being 25 bucks for a few items and the tip started out really low so that’s why it’s been sitting there. Sometimes the order isn’t there anymore and you know what I do I will buy four or five dollars worth of food and then go deliver it to get the 25 bucks.
Regarding your apple watch delivery: I probably would have done the exact same thing, that being said tho, ive noticed resorting to using common sense usually comes back to bite you in the ass in this job.

If tip is showing $8 for the order then it will be a good possibility it will be more coming your way after the 1 Hour hold. Your running the risk of accepting the order and seeing what it says after. Question. You don't seem care to much about acceptance rate on uber eats. But you are wanting to be a Top dasher? Hey Chuck! Does DD send you less offers if your AR is below 70%? I run majority DD in my market also. My AR is at 35% I see the same amount of offers. Usually decline Most $5 and Below offers (Waste of Time) DD can be Slow at times. But when it's a busy time (Lunch & Dinner) I Decline Low Pay Orders. Accept $7+ Orders. Maximize your time and money. I enjoyed Christmas Eve dashing this year. Got 2 separate customers each cash tipped $20 on top of the tip that was included on the order.

I did make really good money last year at the end of the week during Christmas week. I had made a little over $800 for five days which was really good just delivering food and that was just doing DoorDash. No Uber eats no GrubHub.

And yes, it’s a possibility for Uber eats order could’ve gone up from 16 It takes about an hour for it to kick in. If the customer wants to tip you more they will if they want to keep their tip the same they can they can even tip bait you so be careful with that but yes, there was a day where I was doing Uber eats and I think it was like 10.50 for 6.7 miles an hour later the lady left me a $16 tip so that brought my total for that order for 6.7 miles was $26.50 not bad! I have a W-2 job doing Landscape making 20 an hour. It’s OK I like doing it for the most part but I do miss doing DoorDash full-time being my own boss.
It was completely dead for me yesterday on DD and UE.

I've never heard of a shop you don't deliver. Huh.. interesting. Odd. It's almost like you're not a delivery guy when doing that. Lol.
You either need to get a little flat bad cart like udm delivers uses or a cart like Nola grind has. Hate to see you have to walk everything from the driveway to the door one by one. I got a dolly for the day i may have to bring 3 to 5 cases up 3 flights, thankfully haven't had to use it and for the catering job i got that flatbed cart.i think i used it to bring 3 cases of water and a few groceries into some loft apartments. Come to think of it i think it was 5 cases. Phew. I can only imagine carrying 3 cases and then going back to the car for 2 other cases and the bags. Lol Jesus.
lol a couple months back I got a Macy's order from doordash...It said don't call, knock ring. I called the customer anyway she told me to just leave it at the door. I hung it on the door handle and it was like a $500 dollar jacket. I couldn't believe it../

lol I never do shopping... got 2 from ubereats yesterday ... accidently accepted and unassighned it is never worth it in my opinion, has to be atleast $25 plus and under 5 items max but it is never matches that criteria.
then you have to wait for the customer to approve a replacement lol stand in the store for 15 20 min waiting for a responce of approval... No thanks
I will give you some more info too you can actually get doordash to opt you out of red cards so it doesn't effect your acceptance rate but it does more then that I think they have flags on the stores like red card or not. Not bye delivery type. So after a couple days I called back asked to be opted back in and the order volume went back up.
For me the best single night of delivery has been valentines day the past 3 years on app delivery. Christmas eve was garbage this year.... shopping for 2 customers, 25 items going 7 miles for $12???? Yeah no ...get your own crap bah humbug.....that was typical last night... ridiculous.

Hey Chuck, McDonnell orders are great. Do you know why sometimes you’ll come across one that’s been sitting there and being 25 bucks for a few items and the tip started out really low so that’s why it’s been sitting there. Sometimes the order isn’t there anymore and you know what I do I will buy four or five dollars worth of food and then go deliver it to get the 25 bucks.

Wanna Answer the Question about the Uber eats Catering.
Uber in my area. Tops the Tip at $8 Shown in the App for the order your Accepting. After the 1 Hour. If tip is showing $8 for the order then it will be a good possibility it will be more coming your way after the 1 Hour hold.
Your running the risk of accepting the order and seeing what it says after.
Question. You don't seem care to much about acceptance rate on uber eats.
But you are wanting to be a Top dasher? Is this because its slow in your area and not able to schedule?

Merry Christmas Devin! I don't care about my AR on UE because they don't seem to punish me like DD does. In my market there are probably 20 DD offers for every 1 UE offer.

I see the same amount of offers.
Usually decline Most $5 and Below offers (Waste of Time)
DD can be Slow at times.
But when it's a busy time (Lunch & Dinner) I Decline Low Pay Orders. Accept $7+ Orders.
Maximize your time and money.

I personally would never trust DoorDash drivers with my food. People are perfectly capable of running their own errands but they get brainwashed into thinking they need to do everything on an App. We've become so entitled and lazy.
