- This past weekend was my step sons wedding and I did my first grey hair updo and got all dressed up!!
I must admit I was hoping that I would feel elegant rather then matronly…:
I have to say I loved my grey hair in my up do and actually felt like a million bucks all night!!

Oh my, you looked incredibly elegant & beautiful! I LOVE your updo. My first 2 children got married in the last couple of years. I was still coloring my hair brunette for those weddings. I’ve been wondering how my hair will look when my youngest gets married. I’m 8 months into my grow out, so hopefully I won’t have to worry about that for a couple of years. Your pictures have given me hope that I might be able to look elegant with silver/gray as well. 🤍🩶🤍

Thank you for the story and how you thought about how to style your hair. Next year, my nephew is getting married and I’m in a bit of a pickle. Like you, I don’t want my hair style or even what I wear to look too old but not too young either. I have to put a lot of thinking into this as it’ll be my first “formal” event in many years. I can’t even remember the last time I had to dress up nicely……🤔

I can't tell you how much I love your grey hair...it looks SO amazing and I am beyond thrilled you decided to let it go & stop coloring it...I actually hope I go grey...I love how it looks, and feel like it looks so sophisticated. Plus, I feel like it exudes confidence when you embrace your greys. Also, your Canadian accent is just so adorable :) :) :).

@@amandasilversister You do have an accent, but it's awesome :). I love accents, and I'm sure you don't notice it as you're around a lot of Canucks :). I'm from Alabama and used to have a VERY thick Southern accent, which has for the most part gone away as I haven't lived in the South for about 15 years now, but it absolutely returns when I go home, or am speaking with my family, or am drinking, lol :). When I was living in the South, I never noticed it either until someone pointed it out one day. My wife is from North Carolina & it's the same thing for her...and when we visit her family down there, it immediately comes back for both of us.
I have another video idea for you, Amanda. How about a video on what it’s like going into a salon for a haircut when you don’t dye your hair? I’m sure it depends on the salon of course.

@@amandasilversister , sometimes it’s a little bit intimidating or awkward being the only person in the place without dyed hair. My hair still has a lot of brown but a lot of grey in the front on the sides, so the hair stylists always ask me whether I dye my hair or make some comment about the fact that I don’t. They often say my gray hairs somehow don’t behave as well as the brown ones and always manage to make me feel somehow like an oddball for not just dying it.
I also left a new comment on tour video about missing kids when they move away.
