Pink is such a good color on you. Pretty in pink!
I watched until the end! 🥰 I’m JUST starting to grow out my gray! So happy I found your channel for inspiration!! You are lovely inside and out! Thank you for sharing all that you do!! 🙏🏻
I’m late 40s, most people think I’m under 30, and I’m just starting to grow out my grays and I’m so curious if this will start happening to me once I have gray hair!! 😂 Time will tell!
Gorgeous!! And the red lipstick 💄 is so FABULOUS with your hair!!!
You are so gorgeous!! I love your silver!!! 🤍🤍🤍
I absolutely love your hair curled!!! Beautiful and so classy!! ❤
Do you know your Kibbe body type? Im asking because im built similarly and i am between four types. Im 5'2" and not petite, 55 years old -- with grey underneath this natural caramel color.
No I haven’t heard of a Kibbe body type…. Do tell!
@amandasilversister There's a whole new rabbit trail to explore!! Google Kibbe body types and that will get you started!! I've been trying to figure mine out for about six years. I got typed by a professional online as "Romantic" back six years ago. I think romantic essence does not suit me and the clothes are too sensual and sexy, too womanly, for me. I'm leaning towards soft classic. Ingenue is a body type that Kibbe did not include, but Harriet McJimsey did. I have some Ingenue essence for sure. Anyway, it's interesting!!
Beautiful truth!
I’m so glad you agree!
Don't pay attention to the haters. They are jealous psychopaths that envy your natural look. I'm transitioning into my gray hair (the annoying part is growing it out until the long length I prefer it to be) and I'm so excited of my new look and the freedom I experience by ditching the dye is priceless. Thank you for inspiring so many silver sisters. You are very appreciated 🏆 Best regards from Italy 💖🍀🤗
I actually miss the grow out stage now as it was full of self discovery!!
You are amazing and have been a huge inspiration to me! After 18 months growing out blonde and highlights, I now have collarbone length silver hair with my natural curl back! I also have never got so many compliments on my hair in my whole life. Definitely the best decision ever 🎉
You are absolutely beautiful ❤
Dude, as someone in his early-40s, gotta say that’s super hot! Subbed!
64 here and still coloring. My hair is WHITE under the blonde and I am afraid to go that stark. I am still working and with a group of younger people
It looks absolutely beautiful too ❤
Hi, I am so thankful I found you! This was encouraging. I am in month 9, cold turkey from red, trying to keep length. What a tough road sometimes, but zero chance for me to go back! I want to embrace God's handprint in my head..... no two alike! Thanks a million for being an anchor for us out here on the journey ❤❤❤
9 months for me also
Awww!!! I LOVE “God’s handprint on my head!” That is exactly right!! Our crown of glory! 👑 I’ve just decided to grow mine out too!! I’m late 40s-really didn’t think I’d do this until my late 60s or 70s, and suddenly, I got the idea a couple weeks ago and have been so excited ever since! 🎉 I actually think it’s a God thing because going gray wasn’t anywhere on my radar, and I had even recently told someone it’d be far into the future before I ever went gray, but here I am!! 😂
I had grown out my gray hair a few years ago but eventually I wasn’t happy with it and west back to dyeing it again. I grew it out again and like it more now. My husband hates the gray and is always mentioning dying it again. So far I’m happy with it. It does make him feel it makes “us look older”
You and your hair look beautiful. ❤ I am growing my hair out gray. No regrets in starting the journey. 😊
Amazing!!! Welcome to the silversister community!!
We as women have been brainwashed and programmed by the world since we were VERY young to believe that lie, that grey hair will make us look “old.” Nonsense! It’s a transition to another beautiful colour later in life, although some go grey in their younger years, but needless to say, every woman I see who made the choice to go grey is absolutely beautiful. It takes a very strong woman to stand up to a world who has been deceived, and take ownership of your own uniqueness, your individuality, your true identity, and your own personal choice to let your natural hair shine through despite ALL the negativity from people who chose to believe the lie. It’s so freeing to say to the world, “I don’t care what you think, I’m doing what’s best and right, let alone healthier for ME!” You know, I am amazed at the amount of women who feel it’s THEIR right to comment on YOUR choice to do what’s best for you when it comes to YOUR hair and letting it go natural, when you didn’t even ask for their opinion! 🤦🏻♀️ It’s rude and disrespectful. So kudos and congratulations to the strong women who chose to stop letting peoples opinions and thoughts control their choices to try something different, or that still small voice nudging you to go natural, and to ditch the toxins that held you in bondage for so long! If your hairdresser supports your decision to ditch the dye? Hold on to them! Not many do! Afterall the rich (hair colouring industry) are only getting richer off of convincing women that grey hair just makes them look OLD and playing on their vulnerabilities. Women WANT to look beautiful. And unfortunately we were told we can’t be by going grey! So my question is, “who is it that originally told us and even CONVINCED us for decades that we can’t be beautiful with our natural grey hair?” But men are handsome and distinguished with theirs?? C’mon ladies! I understand not all women are going to find it easy to go natural, I get it. But the programming runs deep. That was “the powers that be’s” goal! Mission accomplished! So let’s take back what we have been robbed of silver sisters, and simply say enough is enough! Be free to be who you were created to be! Believe me once you get past caring what the world thinks, you will not want to look back! Congratulations to all of you who make, and have made that decision, you are an inspiration to all of us! For those still trying to decide? Well, I can only encourage you to try it! We’re rooting for you! AND there are MANY wonderful support groups to inspire you as well as mentioned! 😊 If you don’t, no judgement here, but sadly, choosing to go grey, doesn’t afford us that same sentiment! Have a wonderful day ladies! 😊
I watched until the end 🥰 I wish mine was actually your color when it grows out that’s why I keep re-dying it
Our patterns are all so unique!! What is yours coming in like? Also thx for watching till the end!
Hi Amanda, your hair has really grown and is looking beautiful. All those stunning lights and darks! Can you imagine how much that would cost at a hairdresser 😄. And if they could even do something so amazing. I'm at 20 months!! And yes I know I haven't commented in along time but I didn't give up!! It just wasn't an option with my allergies. Your new home is lovely and I hope you will make many wonderful memories there with your husband, family and friends. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! 20 months is great!! How much of the dyed colour do you still have left??
@amandasilversister My hair is quite curly so is sitting on my shoulders when it's dry. It retracts about 3 or 4 inchs I think. It's grey/white all the way underneath but still got varying lengths of coloured ends on the outside layers. I've done a bit of face framing layers so all around my face is grey/white. My hair is at least 3 times thicker then it was before. I'm using a soap made from Tallow and bentonite clay from Moo Organics in Australia to wash my hair since I can't use any shampoo as they all contain latex related allergens. And I'm using The Ordinary squalane oil in my hair to style.
Hi Ananda! I watched this video to the end. Thank you fir sharing your videos. They jeep me inspired on month 4 of my transition. Congratulations on your new 🏡
Thx for sharing that with me!! It keeps me inspired to make more videos!!! We are loving the new place! How are you finding the grow out?
Amanda, you are absolutely gorgeous and your grey hair is so beautiful!!! Because of your videos and watching other silver sisters I am on month 4 of my transition and happy with this journey. My husband was always supportive of me going grey. My immediate close family members mom, sisters, son, were surprisingly supportive. Regardless of their reaction, I was going through with this. Thank you so much I look forward to seeing more of your videos. God bless❤
I loved this video. I would like to have the names of the products if possible. I can remember the Dove but not all the others.
You don’t even look 50 You look younger
Amanda you were a great help when I went through my transition. 2 yrs in ladies hang in there 8 months was rough for me I cut all my dye off at that point I didnt like it, I hate short hair on me now it has grown and I love it. Give yourself time 8 months of grow out will not be long enough to know what you will end up with, it will change each passing month. do it for you dont compare yourself with others .
This is great advice!!!! Makes me happy knowing I helped you hon!!!
Hello from Ontario….🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦started watching today.
Oh I’m from Ontario too!!
I did watch to the end😊
Thank you hon!!
Thank you for sharing. I tried 15 times and now I am at nine months gray transition in Jan 2025 missing my dark hair I used sponge rollers And it came out cool looking❤
Oh wow!!! Doesn’t feel different for you this time?
@@amandasilversister yes it certainly does.
Thank you for sharing. I tried 15 times and now I am at nine months gray transition in Jan 2025 missing my dark hair
Thank you Amanda great to see you back. Take care 🌹 Margie 🌺
Thanks so much Margie, so glad to be back!!!
Very good video ! 😊
Thank you for watching!
Hi, I enjoyed your video and watched it to the end. I am just starting my journey. I'm only at 5 weeks since my last color. If my hair can turn out to look like yours I'll be a happy camper!
5 weeks!! Whoa!! How are you feeling about your grow out so far?
@@amandasilversister Not too bad - yet! I am trying to be mentally prepared (lots of video encouragement helps :) for the crazy look and (literal) growing pains for a long time to come. I've already purchased some root spray (if needed) and hats 👒 to help with the cold turkey grow out. 😆
❤❤❤❤
Hi, nice video. I am on my 4th month of my grey journey ❤
How are you finding it?
Totaly agree. Dyed hair always looks wrong after a certain age. Desperation is not attractive
Gorgeous! I love the dimension in your hair with the white/silver in the front and darker in the back. You’re right once your hair grows out, everyone’s is totally different. I adore sparkly silvers. Yes, it is associated with aging but when you have life experience, you know how precious being able to grow older is. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. ❤
I have been listening to many of your videos. I am just in the beginning stage of choosing to go gray. The biggest fear I have is that the gray/silver will make me look bald. Is that a normal fear and it really is not so? Just wondering if anyone else had that fear and made the transition ok. Thanks And thanks for the great video!
I love the natural color of your hair. It really amazes me how pretty women look with their natural color. You have been an encouragement for me to begin the process. I am 64 and pretty sure I am all gray though will have different dimensions of grey/silver/white. I am nervous but excited too. Thank you for your videos
I think perhaps she was voicing how hard it would have been for her if she had chosen that way (if her hair was dark). I don’t think she was putting the person down. Great video, thank you!
Yay!! I enjoyed your video! I first watched a different one from a year ago and then decided to start at the beginning. : ) I am 64 and yesterday had a lightbulb moment…that I should go gray and stop dyeing my hair. 😮 so I am watching lots of videos and will make a decision on how to go gray. I just recently got rid of all my highlights and went brunette hahaha so I may just go back and put some highlights back in. But not on my newly grown roots. Never ever considered going gray/silver. Still a bit scary… I suppose society has taught us to color our hair. Your videos are great! You have a way of welcoming people in to your home and life…even when it is just a video. And your gray hair is beautiful.
Wrinkled ppusssy
What do I do when it's half grown out?: I french braided mine and it had a beautiful marbled look. Negative feedback: I was concerned about negative feedback, but got many more compliments than concerns. I know and work with several other silver sisters, and they are an inspiration. Trying to look youthful: Silver means wisdom! And yours is beautiful! My own beliefs about what it means to be silver changed a lot throughout my journey. It's been growth in many ways for me.
So cute and pretty ❤❤
I'm 69, I'll be 70 in a few months, and I stopped dyeing my hair 3 months ago. I still have a lot of brown in my hair and wanted to go through this process before there was a really noticeable demarcation line. I'm also thinking I may get some lowlights in the greyest areas (temples) during the grow out to smooth the transition.
Amen... 🎯 😊
I just turned 60 and growing out my gray. I don’t mind the color as much as I do the texture. It’s frizzy in the front bang area no matter how much oil I use, and I use good hair products. I wonder if a new cut would help? I have long layers and I don’t really want to cut my length but it might be easier as the gray grows???
you are right on point! Thank you! 👍
❤❤❤❤❤
I am about 5 1/2 months in to my grow out. I opted to do the natural grow out. Im 55, I just want the freedom to be me now. I'm embracing aging all the way and am so looking towards the next cycle in life.
