@amandasilversister my daddy was an alcoholic and left when I was 2 years old. Unfortunately, I inherited being an alcoholic that also stemmed from being a follower of my older sister and her friends and pier pressure, drugs were also involved. The 60's and 70's were a challenge for sure. My mother was a single parent and strict from being in the Marine Corp when she was younger, however, going to work gave us girls too much time to get in trouble. Overall, though, we were good girls, especially if she told you what angels we were lol when I was 35 years old, I found my daddy and 3 half sisters and tons of family. My daddy and I were best friends for 17 years, he died with a good mind at age 87 and had been sober for years. My mom saw him a couple of times too and it was pretty cool ❤️
hey, Amanda's sister! i totally get what you're saying about the struggle with dry January. it hasn't been easy for me either but ever since i turned 53, i knew i had to get healthier. embracing a new lifestyle wasn't simple but thanks to Aspect Health, i'm feeling so much more energetic and have improved heart health. As you talk about how dry January positively impacted your sleep, i can relate - i noticed the same too! i hope things get easier for you and remember, it's all worth it in the end. Cheers to healthier choices!
Gave up wine and all alcohol 3 yrs ago- I cant even explain how much healthier I feel. No fuzzy brain, no dependence. I feel so much more clear headed. I replaced alcohol with many different teas. Very soothing.
My last drink was on September 30, 1990. It is such a wonderful anniversary for me. I love your house guest Lily 🐾 ❤
Wow!!! What made you decide to give it up all those years ago?? Isn’t lily a doll!!

Replacing the habit I think is key to being successful!! Teas are a great idea and have so many health benefits to them too!!
