- Drive by Ellen Wille is one of my favourite wigs on the market for so many reasons. It's low density, effortless style, soft HD fibres and lack of permatease are some of the reasons why I love this wig so much. She is my go to style when I want to be able to run to the grocery store without looking like I'm too done up. She is the perfect casual look that works for so many people!

I love Drive by EW. I just wish they had it in the Rosewood Rooted color that EW's Cri and Stella are in. That color and this style would be a gem of a piece. This color looks great on you. And yes, she is so soft and fits me well. Thank you for the tips for HD fibres. I have just a straightener and while the poker straight look is great on some styles, I like those like Drive to have ends that curve under slightly. Take care.

Hi Amanda. Just thought I'd pop in to say your video convinced me to give Drive a try, and I bought her from Chiquel and she's due any day now! This looks so natural on you and is just what I'm looking for in a wig. Both the style and density. I hope it works out for me. have very thin hair and it's thinner due to chemo, so this looks like it will be perfect for me! I got her in the color Espresso Mix, as my natural color is almost black, but turning silver all over and I wanted to try a dark color first. I wish they offered this in a Salt and Pepper, which would be perfect. I hope the Espresso Mix works for me, as I have a cool skin tone and don't like red tones. I really like the color you have on in your video. You're beautiful in every wig you wear! Thank you for your thorough and most helpful reviews, Amanda. Hi Amanda. No, it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm looking forward to it very much! I hope the color I chose works for me, as I do have salt and pepper color. Is it true women should go lighter with age? I cannot seem to find a lighter color that suits me, except maybe all silver because my skin tone is cool. I love my Drive too. I have it in Bernstein Rooted. However, I don't seem to make it stop flopping in my face. Yours looks so tame. :)) How did you make the hair not fall forward? Thanks for all the excellent reviews, Amanda. Hugs!
Hey! You know, honestly I have done nothing to this one! Have you tried using heat to train it to go back? I would suggest clipping the hair back, spraying with a bit of water, and taking your blow dryer on low heat. Then let it sit there overnight ❤️
I’ve got the exact same issue with mine! I got it this week and it completely falls over my face. Every RUclipsr I’ve seen has popped this piece on straight from the box and it looks fabulous and natural! I want to make this work as I love the colour, style and density.

I would say the roots are a little bit lighter on Drive's Pearl Blonde Rooted. :)
What is the make of the hot brush styler?
I love the density and style of this wig, except for the deal-breaking fact that Ellen Wille doesn’t offer it in any UNROOTED blondes, for those of us who are pale natural blondes! She has left us in the dust! So many have embraced the bottle- blonde dark rooted colors, which look horrible on people like me. Unrooted cool light blonde colors are getting very hard to find! 😢
Oh my goodness I know. I'm not sure why Ellen Wille doesn't offer more colour options for such a popular wig.

I purchased Drive not long ago, and couldn't wait to get her on my head. I love the style and color and as soon as I put her on, I was sorely dissapointed. She is gorgeous, but the lacefront is horribly jagged and rough.

I had understood that brushing with bristles was an issue. Why wouldn’t that apply to brush blowers? I bought one that just hard plastic bristles.
Mine flops in my face. How do you get it to stay back?
I bought this wig a couple years ago, and I adore it. unfortunately, it got real frizzy on the ends, and I’m still trying to get the frizz out after learning via RUclips it was infact heat friendly. I cannot keep it from poofing way out at the ends. I’m still trying. Are there any other wigs close to this good?

I JUST watched your “how to” video on using heat on HF fibers, but my problem was/is with a curly/wavy style by RW-Unfiltered. I could probably reasonably straighten it, but no way can I get those beautiful curls back in. I also reached out to Denise Sheets “Hey Wig Sister” and asked for her thoughts on possibly a shorter style that looks like Unfiltered, or any advice really! I have a small (fully plastic” air brush that I spent 50$ on for the name only(and several wig wearers advice about only using ‘hot tools brand’ “ and it doesn’t work on HF fibers or really on any fibers! Lol! I’ve watched every video I can find. Any suggestions on how to get HF fibers to yield to my will??🤞🏼😆
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with heat friendly fibres. It does take bit of trial and error and patience. My favourite tool to curl with is just with a hair straightener. I find that as you curl, it allows the fibres to cool as it touches the cold side of the straightener.
I’ve heard that light steaming will preserve the curl but melt frizzies. Haven’t tried it though.
Do we need to spray fibers with water before applying the hot air brush Or can we just use the hot air brush freely?
You don't have to spray with water. :) I find it helps a bit but its not necessary!
Thanks ! I know that I have asked several questions about this wig. Ive only worn it a few times an then I washed it and after I washed it I’ve been scared to apply any heat to it and it is just sitting on a wig stand. And it’s been sitting there for like maybe almost 2 months… Yes, I know I need to apply heat to it but I have not worn it since after I washed it, it feels like I haven’t had in my mind it feels like it’s gonna take a long time , that I’ll need to be careful and gentle and have not had the time to take a hair straightener to it, I did see one video where someone had sprayed it completely with water and it went through and took a flat iron and did there whole piece. I’d like to add a little bit of wave to it, hoping that it might stay out of my face a little bit more, this was one wig. I wanted so bad I would look at it reviews of other women showing their peace or influencers doing reviews of the wig and it was like it was perfect on everyone the day that I receive mine we had a really bad windstorm and by the time I did get mine it was halfway across the yard, but I don’t think that could’ve had anything to really do with how it lays just because I always see everyone shaking their pieces out before they put them on. But I think tomorrow I will apply a little bit of water and use my hot air brush. Mine looks like the one you had. It’s not a namebrand, but it resembles the Revlon one. I’m just so scared! Once I do get it done, I will let you know if it’s a thumbs up or thumbs down!
@@ambercrosby9659 Yes- let me know! Don't be scared! It is going to survive the heat you put on it. :) I know it's hard to take the plunge and actually do it, but I promise it will be ok. Don't worry about being too, too gentle. Just don't tug on the lace front-that is the most fragile part of the wig. But the fibres themselves are very strong and resilient. They can handle it. :) Good luck!

This is what I love, low density and straight, color dark brown with red highlights, and able to part on the left as well as the right...can you help...

If Drive came in a light, cool, unrooted blonde color and a full mono top, I’d be a big fan. But all the dark rooted blonde colors make this pale, light-browed woman look like a vampire! And I’m not a fan of center parts. When you parted Drive on the side, I thought it was much more flattering on you.
Right?! I don't know why they only offer rooted colours. They need to do a Drive 2.0 with a full mono top, unrooted colour options, and maybe even hand tied!
It looks wonderful on you, but I have a round face and feel that I need some layers and height on top. Sleek styles accentuate my round face shape and totally not a good look for me!🎃 As I said though, looks fabulous on you!

What is the exact density? Do you know? I think the “lowest” density wig I have is 130%
I’m sorry- I couldn’t tell you the percentage, as Ellen Wille doesn’t typically use percentages to describe the density. It’s just marked as a low density piece. ❤️

Will fit for a 21 inches head?
A 21” circumference is a petite size. You may have some extra room. Do you normally wear average cap wigs?

Do you feel the part looks natural on this wig, or a little narrow?
I find the density is pretty good in the part! :) It is quite natural.
