I’ve watched so many wigs videos. I’m sure you’re the first person to talk about the fake look of a perfect hairline. I couldn’t even figure out why it looked so fake to me. Even with lace front. I don’t know why I never thought to pull pieces out. It just makes so much sense. Thank you!
First of all YOU are gorgeous! BEAUTIFUL!!! A ray of sunshine 💜 I am 65 yrs old and my hair is thinning and is naturally curly with waves and hair calics all over. Having curly hair has been a God send, not much to do to it and go. But I’m missing my thick hair. I have tried wigs and have NO luck with them. Way too much perma tease and look s totally fake. I have been watching you now for several weeks and have gleaned some great ideas from watching your finger movements thru the synthetic hairs. This tutorial was GREAT and VERY HELPFUL!!! My hair is a dirty platinum/grayish shade. I have trouble picking out shades too. All the wigs I have purchased I have ended up donating to our Maine State Music Theatre here in Brunswick. I donated five or so. I thought, no more. I’ll just have to make do and put up with the thinning 😟 After watching you and learning from you I want to try again! LOVE the front lace with hand tied hairs! Looks so real ! I am a teacher’s aid and fear that a wig might go flying off. So not to sure how to keep a wig on. My hair is in a Bob, chin length now. Was longer then had it cut shorter. My students objected! The fourth grade girls want me to let it grow to the tops of my shoulders. I like their idea because that means I could search for a longer Bob that would either conceal my hair or somehow blend my hair in with the synthetic hairs. I wish I knew how to send you a picture of myself so you could examine my hair, and it’s color then give me any recommendations that you could think of Amanda! Thank, Ms Marji
Hi Marji! Thanks for your message! So glad my videos have inspired you to try again! :) If you are interested, we do free virtual consultations! You can meet with a consultant who can help you! chiquel.com/pages/book-a-virtual-consultation
This is a great video! The lace front is fantastic. I am in love with this all hand tied wig! I know I couldn't afford it, but I surely would love too! Thank you for doing this video, it gives us so many ideas of what to do!
I have a lot of basic cap wigs. One thing they work well for is wearing a stretchy head band or SqHair band. I like the volume on top for that, and also, the stretchy band covers a lot of the unnatural part. I always pull out a little hair in the front and at the ear tabs.
Absolutely love your videos. I wore wigs for 4months earlier in the year from Covid hair loss. Have gone without since May but self conscious. Decided to start wearing again two days ago and found your channel. Ordered “Blues” from Ellen Wille after watching a recent review you did. Thank you!
I review wigs on my own channel and can't do a video without putting it up - I am so blessed to give inspiration to those who follow me but I have not found inspiration for myself - until YOU! I'm so glad I have come across you and hope to find you should you ever leave this channel 🎉 you are so refreshing to me 💖
I'm about 6 months into my wig wearing journey so now's a good time for this video 😂 Every wig has been worn down, but now I can start experimenting with new styles.
Love love love your wigs! The blonde with dark roots looks like you grew it! I don’t wear a wig, but I think I would love it, if I did! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, that was very helpful. It helps me a lot to decide on a wig. What I don't like about all the wigs I've shortlisted is that the dark parts of blonde wigs are too thick and wide, which looks bad when you want to style the hair out of the face. Your last wig, which is one of the "Ferraris", also had this problem, even more so than the others. The manufacturers need to think a little more about this.
Hello Amanda! Amazing - loved this style video, great tips - I am so new to buying wigs (I am actually waiting for my very 1st one now in the mail from Chiquel - excited)! This helped me a lot with explaining the cap style. Thank you ❤
Thank you for making this video, very informative. I’m a bit new to wigs, have been wearing toppers for many years. I really like the last piece you showed. I might get it!!
The very first wig I tried on was Jackson! I had no clue that the hairline makes such a difference! And… I was drawn to the style because in pics, Jackson looks light and airy. I went into a shop and they were not paitent with me so I was even more confused! I’m beginning to understand the part lines, and that lace fronts make such a huge difference!! I really like Elle!
Amanda! My hair colour is EXACTLY the colour mist! Does Jon Renault have a wig in that colour but a shorter bob to just the chin length or a smidge longer? I LOVE Elle, but it’s a bit too long for me. Thanks for any help you can give me 😊
I decided to create a small notebook of my favorite wigs that you review. I note: mono cap-full or part No perma tease Hand tied - completely- styling dream No wetting Heat friendly Lace front: ear to ear Their names Shades Rooted ? Density….still trying to understand this detail
Thank you for these ideas. I was wondering how to get a secure feel to my wigs. I’m always thinking they’re going to fall off. With very little hair, do you wear grips? I do have some fine bio hair. Thank you, again.
You are amazing . They look so natural. Great tips. I may have developed A and so I will see if I have to wear wigs in about 3 months or so (I'm trying diet correction,etc).. For a first time wig wearer, which one would you recommend in collar to shoulder length (I want to be prepared)? I have brown hair. I like face framed highlights.
Great video. I have a ? And if u can help id be so grateful. Do you know of or how can i find synthetic wigs that have bangs but also have a 100% hand tied wig with extendef lace front (optional but prefeted so the lace goes to my temple.). I have googled and come up with partially hand tied, no bangs, tiny monofilament crownsetc. I cant serm to filter so thst I find ehay i want. I would love to splurge with a very generous monetary gift i got on the perfect, entirely hand tied wig...i think all hand tied are monos and i would prefere extended lace which may not come in wigs with bangs.❤❤

lol you're so welcome!
I totally agree that these lace front wigs are too perfect, Amanda. My perfect dream wig has a little widows peak.
Do not EVER change who you are!!! I enjoy your being so down to earth, real !
You are quite the motivational speaker young lady!!!

Love the ways you change up Dalgona 16” HT!!! I think my fibers aren’t quite smooth enough to do some of these styles well anymore.

Great info! I'd love to see a video of the wigs you wear that you get the most compliments. 🙂
You are so inspiring! I have several wigs tucked away. I might bring them out and try something on them. Thanks! 😊🙏🏼❤️
Great video Amanda! Thanks for sharing your styling tips and explaining the different cap features.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing. I am ready to buy after my consultation next Week.

@@maureencrawford2275 thank you! I’m glad you think so! ❤️❤️
Thanks a lot for this video. I need to try harder and make it mine.
What would be a good handtied wig that l can put up in a high bun, preferably non heat please. Loved the last wig, looked realistic.
You are so adorable!!! You look like Heather Locklear.
aw thank you. :)

Yes- the lace and monofilament on top definitely makes a difference! Sorry to hear your wig shop experience wasn't the greatest!
I need to have permatease in my wigs. It’s hard picking them though since I am new to wigs.

Amanda I need a topper in this exact style (the first one Jackson) with permatease. Any suggestions?

This means either a lot of knotted hair or less of it, so that the hairstyle looks lighter and less sophisticated.
Great advice, thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thank you for these ideas. I was wondering how to get a secure feel to my wigs. I’m always thinking they’re going to fall off. With very little hair, do you wear grips? I do have some fine bio hair. Thank you, again.
I don't wear anything, but if you have hair, I would suggest trying a grip. :)

I would check out Cameron Lite by Jon Renau :)
Hand tied wig
Omg beautiful
I want it
What’s the style number and how to order
Isn't it lovely?! It's Dalgona 16" Hand Tied. :) chiquel.com/products/hand-tied-dalgona-16?_pos=1&_sid=68d048220&_ss=r

@@shanhare76 yes! Very similar!
Elle gray beautiful

Do you ever pluck the hairline of a lace front to make it look more natural?
@@ShadeTree500 I usually don’t but you can if you like. 😊
Will.the wig come off Amanda
nope :)
Wouldn't it be hot with no wefting?
Ok...Amanda...I am not understanding what you are saying...half a puff down??
half up/half down. hair style. :) Sorry if I spoke too fast there! lol.
….no wefting….
Your pony tail looks great. You are to paranoid
Thank you.
