Absolutely amazing! I had never heard of Emily Bear, but now I have watched many of her RUclips videos and will be a lifetime fan! She is one child prodigy that has far exceeded the high expectations of her youth... and she is only 20! I can't wait to see what she does next!

I first saw her on the Ellen show! She dazzled the audience as a child prodigy on the piano. I’m grateful that Ellen helped pave the path for her on her talk show. She’s amazing!

Emily. I don't quite know what words to use to describe what I think about her performance. I have always like to hear people playing the piano. I have watch videos of people singing, dancing, acting, running, you name it, but the few vides I've watched of Emily's has captivated me. Watching her videos, my main focus is her face, because all I see there is pure Joy. Joy follows her fingertips across the keys of the piano.

My wife and I started following Emily's rising star when she was 6 and appeared on the 'Ellen' show. We flew to NYC for the release of her 6th CD, at the age of 9. (!) Believe it or not, she is, at age 21, already halfway to having the EGOT, (Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Oscar)! A superstar on the rise for sure! And completely humble and gracious! She is hugely talented at playing, but her true genius is in composition, which she has been working at since age 4!

( Zuill Bailey about Emily's sixth album 'Diversity' recorded at age 11)
Zull Bailey, classical cellist, Artistic Director of El Paso Pro Musica (Texas), Artistic Director of the Sitka Music Festival (Alaska) and Professor of Cello at University of Texas at El Paso:
Emily Bear is obviously classically trained. But she’s not just an interpreter and performer. She writes her own music. Everything that you hear on that album came from her. She wrote everyone’s part. She directed us. One forgets within minutes that you’re listening to someone who is a child. : She is an absolutely exceptional… It’s literally... It makes one believe the myths and the grandeur of what Mozart would have been like had you met him. This person is so purely gifted that music simply pours out of her. It pours out with such joy and creativity and spontaneity that you just stand back in awe.
It’s rather mind-boggling. This ability comes around so rarely. I believe the word prodigy is so so so overused for business tactics and salability.

    2014 Disney Films
Disney has approached her about composing film scores, Joe (Joseph) Illick added.
And, unlike some accomplished young musicians, she doesn’t just play the notes correctly, but reaches down into the heart of a piece of music, he said. “She plays someone else’s music as if she were creating it,” Illick said.
And she has been composing her own pieces for years. “The ideas she has are totally original,” he said. “Most of us compose by mimicking and altering (works that already exist), but she comes out with a new kind of idea that no one has had before.”
Bear’s compositions often are a mixture of classical and jazz styles, he said,

Im a big fan of Emily Bear. Love her work on The Flight of the Bumble Bee. This song (Stars and Stripes Forever), has many different movements that are played simultaneously in perfect, and comlimentary harmony. This song runs the gaunlet of trials and victories, and the emotions that accompany them. This is what well written music does to the human experience. For those who would like to experience "the whole gaunlet", Listen to the same song as demostrated by the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler conducting. Listen to the different instruments playing their different parts, and notice the how the intensity of this piece changes as it goes through three different themes. My favorite part is at the end where Arthur slows down the tempo only to ramp it up for a victorious, and upbeat finish. A true classic.

@@jdg48439 This year so far, Jackie has performed in concert in Salt Lake City, Parker, Colorado Srpings, Palm Desert, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater, The Villages, & Ocean City. FACT... not 'Social Media Hype'!!!
2ndly,, Jackie has long been lauded by industry professionals as being one of the best classical/operatic sopranos in the world, and I think it is a great pity that she has shied away from the genre in favour of more contemporary music.
3rd, Jackie's last concert prior to the above was in 2019, after which CoViD hit and caused many artistes to cancel their concert tours, and additionally, she broke her back in two places as the result of a road traffic accident, and she is struggling to recover from Anerexia Nervosa and she suffers with Osteopororis (which was caused by her AN).

She plays with great passion and emotion which one cannot fault her for. However this is the Horowitz transcription of the piece. It is incredibly technically demanding. Im afraid her technique lets her down particularly in the latter half of the performance. The tune on the top must be light and annunciated. She plays with too much pedal whilst failing to hit all the notes. It sounds garbled which is a shame. A fair longer while practising the piece and she would be able to play it well. I recommend anyone in the comments to listen to the Horowitz or Valery Kuleshov performance of this piece. It shows you how it is meant to sound. That being said this is a valiant effort. Just pointing out that concert pianists can really bring those voices out to take it to the very next level.
