  • Hey guys! This video is about the reasons I believe you should travel to Slovenia when you get the chance! I only spent 4 days there, but I really enjoyed my time in Ljubljana and Lake Bled. I hope to visit again someday!

So true! Slovenia is a small but very beautiful country. Marvelous landscapes in the mountains that look similar to the Alps. Besides that there is the seaside and other gorgeous cities as Maribor e.g. It's always worth a trip 😊

Look simliar to the Alpes? Most mountains in Slovenia belong to the Alps or foothills of the Alps. ^^

You´re such a charming woman. Fully agree with your thoughts on Slovenia. I visited it together with a fun friend from California and we both had similar impressions you had. Thank you for sharing.

I think you had Prekmurska Gibanica. As a dessert it is the national dish: a pie with four different fillings stacked. Once in the German TV show "Kitchen Impossible" the host Tim Mälzer was send to Slovenia to taste and finally recreate it. After that we found a recipe and also made it in our kitchen - lots of effort, but totally worth it.

Well, I think it was Apfelstrudel, since Prekmurska gibanica looks kinda different.

Your dessert looked like regular Apfelstrudel, that you can find all over the Alps. They might taste differently due to recipe differences in various regions of the Alps.
Maybe you should visit Carinthia too. There you can find a couple of great lakes too with similar food. Personally I love the Weissensee there.
