Mustache definitely adds 6 or 9 style points
A mullet would add 69 more points
Pit Viper has entered the chat
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride! Bike looks SICK!
Absolutely! Love this new Gen KTM 450 SXF. Engine is a powerhouse. Hard to beat em..250 SXF or 450 SXF. -Ohio
To be honest I didn't realize how much bike work was going down in this vid until I started editing....so buckle up for a long one!
Why don't you run 52mm cone valve? And do the 2016-2022 forks fit the 2023 platform?
@@andrewwilson9130 really bro
@@nathanbills9428 ?
@@nathanbills9428 i was just wondering if like he liked the 48mm better
@@andrewwilson9130 no it’s the 2nd question lol if he put his forks on from his old 22 model then they do fit
You really take great care of your bike. This is how guys should be doing things. God bless you bro. Hope you have an amazing 2023 season. You got this.
Holy cow the new bike is insane!!! Also I freakin love this style of video, especially with the tech tips in the subtitles, keep ‘em comin, JWalk!! Thank you!!
Thanks! Will do!
Thank you for making this video! I bought the 300SX after watching you rip it up at Red Bud last Spring. I've been meaning to perform this service ever since I found out that KTM skimps on grease during the assembly process, and your video was exactly what I needed to get started. I followed your steps, along with my service manual for the torque specs, and everything turned out perfect. Took me 2 days by myself, but now it's ready. I haven't ridden it yet because it's been Winter, but will be doing so next weekend. Thanks again! I wish you the best of luck this season!
I love how in depth you went and showing your process for how you prep your bikes. rooting for you my dude! 🤙🏿
Been loving the mechanic type vids!! I just got a 2023 KTM 350 SX-F, incredible machines. Love the content!! Been following for a few years.
Officer Walker!! The stache! 👍
Everything you did to the bike is right on! So many guys don't grease their bike & even more don't install their front end & wheel correctly. Nice job man! 👏
Even though that bike wasn't greased properly from the factory, it is WAAAAY better than the Kawasaki's are greased! My Kawasaki's basically had like a thin film of baby oil on everything. Like a really thin, clear oil more so than grease.
That exhaust looks absolutely dope!! 😎
2 digit number soon!
Thank you for showing all the details but also that list you had printed. After watching this I took everything apart and greased her up then used that list to put the front end back together. Worked perfect
Looking good Jeff! That's exactly how I go through all new bikes, right down to the maxima grease. I like to get all done right while it's all clean and easy to work on.
Can't wait to see you rip on it.
Dude that bike looks amazing! KTM really nailed the 2023 plastics and graphics! And the yoshi looks and sounds amazing! Can’t wait for the season. I bet you will do well
Just bought a new 250 SX-F and I'll be using this video as a prep guide. Cheers! Keep rippin'
Soooo happy for you man I love seeing your progression each and every year shredd this year bro and get on that factory KTM team💯💪🏾
This filing and angles were incredible. Just mesmerizing. I think I'm going to do a build on my '04 YZ125, I just need to get a job because I'm 15 now and I need to find somebody with a vapor blasting cabinet. Don't have 2-3 grand to build a bike yet.
I like the bike work instructional videos. Great stuff!!
When tightening the steering them i always loosen the bottem clamps so it pulls them up rather than loosening the top and pulling the forks up which will change the fork height. Bikes killer🤙🏻
It has been so cool and inspiring watching you grow in progress into a professional motocross rider, and also your video making and editing skills are amazing now... Great job man I can only keep working and hope to be at that level one day.
Great Video Great job Jeff 💯🔥👏👌👍
First thing killin it with the mustache! Been watching you for awhile now man love the content! But im no master mechanic by no means but I was always taught to start a bolt by hand instead of just putting it on the impact/nut driver! But again killin it brother! Keep it up
Day 82 of Cheering on Jeff: GO JEFF!
TWO MORE DAYS LET'S GO!!!!!
Yo that sounds sick so excited to hear it on a track
Fantastic! everything looks amazing!
The music with the tools felt so satisfying for some reason haha. New bike looks great!
I’ll be watching you man good luck!
Damn, such an amazing video! Ya CRUSHED it!👊🏻
Love the videos!
Bike looks good! I have a couple of questions. Where do you get the clear and sticky foam tape that you put under the frame guards? Also, how was the P3 skid plate to install? I see that it doesn’t mount using the stock forward mounting points. Thanks again for great content!
Let's goooooo I have been waiting for this 😃
sick vid Jeff, id say the only thing you are missing is to blue/purple the header on the Yoshi!!! it will look so sick and match perfect!!!
that colorway is sick!
Love the vids🤝✌
What a fucking sick video… top content!!
Greasing from new is a great idea when I bought my brand new 2018 Ktm 150 sx luckily noticed it was missing a linkage Bush before to much damage occurred. Assembly dude was smoking some shit that day 😅Good tip ❤
Looks awesome.
Have you always ran your spindle with the cap on the left side? Was told to always run it on the right, so in case the spindle spins (for whatever reason) it tightens rather than loosens.
I have a 23' 300sx I want all orange plastic,where did you find yours?
Also I'm trying to find all the torque specs for the bike, know where to look?
& is my frame & the 450 the same? So I can run a p3 skid plate if I order for 450? Same with the twin air screenless mount
Where do I get all that stuff for the frame the clear tape and all the stuff u used before the acerbis guard
Yummy I going to have to go orange this year!!!!!❤
looks awesome dude, can't wait to see you ripping this thing at redbud🤙🏼
10/10 on the graphics
Just went through this same process on my 23.
I was puting a p3 skid on my 23 ktm450 yesterday and I had the hardest time getting the front mount to line up, curious if you did too?
I dig the moustache
Where did you get the PPF & padding for under the frame guards? Would love to get a set on my bike before the guards tear up the frame coating.
That is a really nice bike right their ❤
Letsgoooo Jeff legend
A man does not wear a mustache, Yet the mustache wears the man. Looks good on ya.
Walker dirtbike ranger out
Come ride at 4 state moto complex in Joplin Missouri! It’s an amazing track! Btw love all the content, and can’t wait to see how great you do this season!
What a Beauty 👍🏻
So different than a Japanese machine to work on, I learned a couple of things I can use on my Husky.
What is the clear tape you put on prior to the grip tape? Purpose? Frame finish protection? Thanks and good luck this coming season. Oh and the bike looks really good.
I think he gets it from Amazon. It’s to help add protection against dirt getting in there, mainly protecting the frame. He explains more on it in his “pro national race 450 first start” video. Should be around 16:18
If you can get one weekend on a factory bike that would be insane. As a long time supporter that would make me so happy to see a legend like you on a factory ride even on a 250👀.
Hey Jeff -- on the order of front end steps, why not change 2 and 6 to "snug upper triple clamp" since the fork height lines are in the upper clamp and might move/change a little when you tighten the steering stem nut with the bottoms snug? Just curious if there was a reason.
Those renthal Kevlar grips are great the only grips that didn’t give me blisters 👍
They also have a large diameter which I always look for in a grip! Love them
Hey Jeff are you getting rid of the other bike and getting a second 23 or what’s the plan
This bike looks good but last years graphics kit was insane, new bikes numbers are weird. But love the channel, definitely close to that factory fill in speed your doing awesome dude! 👏
I like your graphics. No remapping of the ECU is necessary with the new exhaust?
Are the clamp bolts for the bars under the clamps instead of on top?
Hi mate, where do I get the frame protection stickers your using? And what did you use inside your frame gaurds?
I take back what I said last video about the font of your graphics. those graphics look so sick
I would like a set of those graphics for my 2022 KTM.
hit up the boys at SKDA!! @SKDA_moto
Jeff what’s that clear stuff you put down on your frame? Thanks
lovely.
Can you do Renthal Black rear sprocket with D.I.D, ERT GOLD CHAIN
DOES the mapping needs to be changed because you changed the front pipe ???
Are you keeping the old race bike as a practice bike?
Love the video. I wonder how much time it took you to record, camera angles and get all that beauty ready. I think it would look great too if the seat wasnt only orange. Perhaps orange with some black in it would look awesome :)
You’ll get that factory weekend. You’re more than fast you’re extremely marketable.
Gotta check out Nxt Lvl 101 in grey court SC. That place is pretty big and pro level. Some of their stuff scares me lol
That moustache commands respect!
Is it wise to mix grease types?
What is that clear tape called and where did you get it?
Do you have the traxx shock on the rear ?
How much Grease do you want ?
Jeff: Yes
Motion Pro needs to hook this man up with the T-handles!!
Nice.
Where do you get clear tape
should u not change gearing depending on track?
I’m going to buy 3 bikes,I’m 6”5 220 ......which bikes should I get at reasonable price?
I want a 2020 Honda 450,Yamaha,kawa,and maybe Ktm Which 3 would would you pick up? If I pick up a Suzuki where can I get the engine overhaul to make more power?
Realistic goals for season, go for it and see what The Universe presents!! 🙏🙏 WFO!
🔥🔥🔥
I was hoping for a yoshimura on the new one looks so goood
Yoshi + KTM is just a good match
What is the can on top of the header?
Bike looks great. Are you going to try some different mounts, like the factory boys at KTM.
🔥🔥
What does it cost to get a GPA sticker on the fender or on the jersey?
Make more trail videos plz!! Your most viewed video was fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 plz make more soon. Like when you and your friends are off going up insane hill climbs and stuff. It’s super entertaining, plz make more soon🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
love the video man!!! but man how tall are you
Did I miss it when you talked about the ecu? Send it to Tokyo mods?
Or run stock?
Still trying to figure out if the Vortex from my 2022 race bike will work on the new beast. Of it does, I’ll have DASA racing tune it
@@JeffWalker84 😁
Sweet!
Stay healthy man. Lots of folks cheering for ya. Hopefully you will be a factory rider soon. Sure would think getting 20th on your own consistently would turn some heads. That's last years news also... I'm sure you will continue to improve.
That's quite the Poon Broom you've got there. What's Bridgette think of it?
Love the video! Question for you on the new platform, are you running your bar mounts on the forward position? Any bar risers or just 997? I’m struggling to find comfort in mine and was curious
Thanks 👌
I have my bar mount rotated in the forward position and I’m not running any bar riser spacers
Thanks! Do you feel that bar clamp forward makes it easier to turn ?
Nice build jeff
Did you apply something between the frame and the skid plate ? Or do you think the paint hold good on the new generation ktm's?
I’ll be using more of the sticky-backed foam. Just ran out of it😅 ordered more as soon as I got done filming
Curious a bit more about the grip tape under the plastic frame guards? Obviously the clear was just to keep the frame looking new, but whats your reasoning for plastic over grip tape? Thanks a ton!
I like to increase my ankle/calf/knee grip as much as i can, so putting extra layers beneath the plastic frame guard spaces it out further from the frame and allows for better ankle grip. The clear tape is just to protect the frame paint
@@JeffWalker84 I greatly appreciate the response! Cant wait to see you battling up front this season!
I have been out of the motorcycle scene for quite sometime….you mean to tell me they got rid of that stupid wing bolt for the air filter 🤯🤯🥳🥳😂😂
Was that thread locker or anti seize you put on the clamp bolts?
Anti seize.
How come that dirtbikes don't have to be tunned after installing an aftermarket exhaust system but cars do need tune?
Dude... you need to add some Chia Pet mud o the state
I was thinking you might go Kawasaki this time but that's ok. The stash can stay but stop playing with it. Good thing you didn't start to regrow anywhere else. Your pretty face and deeper voice cancels most negative opinions so it's all good. When you throttled it outside the chain moved. Are you using thick oil? Good video. Pax
All I have to do is be nice and he doesn't give me a happy heart. Waahh!
You’re gonna need to start an OF with all that lubricant expertise
lets gooo
