The fit and finish on that bike is super special - just outstanding and you can tell Roger DeCoster is part of the whole package. That guy is the brains behind KTM and it shows.
So sick knowing AP raced local tracks around Ohio D11 and now he has his factory bike featured in these videos. Never thought it would happen out of our district.
I agree Rory I grew up racing District 11 all thru the 90's also other than Brock Sellards and Jeff Gibson I didn't think there would be a top 10 450 guy like AP
@@brentnaylor6138 true I was racing late 90s early 2000s I raced against Jeff Gibbson at a few small arenacrosses few times before i gave up on the dream Brock was a pro when I was still a B rider, I usually lined up with Scott Metz, Willy Browning, Nathan Skaggs and a few other really fast guys. But yeah no one ever won a pro championship until AP and he will races in the 450 class, he gave me a reason to stay with the sport for a little while longer 😉 as if I could ever give it up
What is that device on the left side of the fender that has a cable that runs down to the top of the brake caliper, is that to measure suspension movement during the ride?
yes it is offered stock and even on the two stroke model. Doesn't do anything even though they say it does - it was just a new bike talking point item. worthless really. Great looking bike though, I love what they've done - the fit and finish is just crazy good. Excellent job by KTM!
Seems like KTM has a lot of work to do to get his chassis setup. Coop looked better in the corners especially flat corners on the previous gen. frame. And Marvin? I've never seen him go so backwards in a race before.
Did we watch the same heat? Coop and Marv were shredding and AP went from last to transfer. Seems like it's working pretty good. It's early in the season yet. They'll find the groove.
@@ktmjack1 i watch all the races and arm pump plz that dude has an excuse for everything his teammate was sick the weekend before and still got 7th dude needs to hang it up if hes getting arm pump 4 mins into a main
Looks like a data acquisition box on the front fork. It would be nice if some of the REAL details of these bikes were described instead of the typical sponsor plugs.
why is there a difference in seat height and ground clearance between the factory 450 and the regular 450. The factory ktm 450 has 958mm seat height and 343mm ground clearance, while the regular 450 has 950mm and 375mm ground clearance.
The factory edition this year is a complete new model. Everything is different. Next year the regular 450 will be all new and same design as this Factory edition.
How do you figure the ktm isn't serving him well??? He went 8th, 16th and 7th for the first 3 rounds last year on the yamaha and gone 9th, 2nd and 6th this year on the ktm. First year bikes are always a bit iffy until the team gets race time on them aswell so he's only going to get better

Bike is so nice I'd put it in my living room as art. Also, he's the first person I have heard say "akrapovic" correctly 👏🏼

Barcia is my local pro. Pretty cool to see. Also used to watch nicoletti race a clapped out cr80 and smoke everyone.
@@RubbishFPS I was an A rider when AP was on 65s lol

Oh that is a sweeet ride.
Bike is spotless!
I need this NOW
Very nice bike cool thanks guys 👍 great review
WOW! PANKL 3D printed foot pegs?
Not a ktm fan but this is a work of art
Sickest bike in the pits.
Great video..loved it! Thats a sweet looking bike!
That new akro pipe looks insane. The device on the forks is interesting
You're not wrong there !! Very impressed with that fork doomahhikky... LOL !!
Ikr. I wish that they would have talked about it
i bet you they use it to track fork travel and use the data to adjust suspension
Cool to see him running those OE style pegs. Outside of them feeling a little high for me, I really like those 16+ pegs. Wicked sharp.
Bad ass bike, once it's decommissioned, I'll buy it.
Stunning Bike
jade builds great bikes. anyone else see his cr 250 he built this past year?
Oh I wish these were sold in the uk 🇬🇧. Desperate to buy one !!!
Anyone know what that thing is attached to the shock at 9:25?
Wow...thank you!
What brand master cylinder covers?
What is the nilon wire thing on the left fork that is running down ?

Yes
How much higher are his habdlebar mounts compared to the default obes?
52mm fork! damn, 48mm seems small now
im surpRise with they said 52damn so large hahaha
Reminds me of my 1975 Montessa 250 VR
that's why he released the launch control button quickshift engine mapping and traction control
I want to buy that same akrapovic exhaust, where can I buy it? please
Super anal! Most perfect bike in the pits. Not a spec of dust, oil, or swirl on that thing. Jade FTW!
If you paint the valve cover gloss silver, it keeps the gas much cooler. I don't know why they paint them black. My 500 EXC WAS black too.
Check out that front fender with the ribs. Never see anything like that before. Wonder if thats on the bike you can buy off the showroom Floor?
That is actually stock for the factory editions, it's weird!

Why Arendt they using coated forks?
They never talk about the 52 mil cone valve forks they run. I know first hand they run the 52 mil forks especially on Cairoli's bike.

Sick bike but he cant stay up to ever see it in action lol
now they need someone to actually race it
You could start backwards and win races if you had this bike!
Not true. Look at Marv
That exhaust so ugly though.
Aaron shoulda stayed on the Yamaha. That new KTM is not serving him well. Cooper shoulda just used last years frame. Nobody would know.
