Well, what a mixed month it has been with some successes and also some resounding disappointments. I don't like to use the word 'failure', because we made a go of it and it just didn't work out though next year could be very different and we've learned a few things along the way.

@@growjoyfullyhomestead thank you. We do our best with it though have had so much rain and wind (more than usual) that it very quickly becomes a jungle and isn't easy ro maintain. We will hopefully be making changes over autumn and winter that will make things more manageable going forward.

We had have rain on Wednesday night and Thursday so yesterday, a very warm and sunny summer's day, I was horrified to find all our lettuces in the raised bed eaten by slugs and snails, not a trace left behind, and they'd also started on the strawberries. It's so frustrating!

Everyone I connect with seems to have problems this year, wherever they may be. Today we harvested our garlic but the bulbs are small. Still we are grateful that something developed. 🙏💜🙏

@@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu a big laundry here in Ramsgate burned down last week leaving people without jobs. The fire lasted many hours. No idea yet what caused it. 😿
