yes.. C&C soundtrack is one of my best, C&C universe is so great and their songs are really awesome.. but it's EA, they will kill every C&C games.. C&C 2 Tiberian Sun songs are really fun :) tbh i prefer few C&C 4 songs, but my favourite songs are from RA3, they are just amazing :)

Developers need time to develop, not just a single game but many many years, they grow with the company, grow more skilled and build a relationship with the franchise they develop, and the games gradually improve. But when EA bought Westwood Studio, they didn't think it made enough money so they shut it down, completely uprooting the developers, then they gave C&C to EA LA, which they also later shut down as well. I am pretty sure EA has shut down 7 studios related to C&C. No studio can stick around long enough to actually develop the franchise properly.

Есть например сравнительно недавно вышедная игра "12 минут". Для умных, где главная мысль (судя по главной концовке) - очень нравственная. Тем не менее, игра осталась где то на задворках. Почему? Кто ищет духовности. Читают книжки. Смотрят умные фильмы (таких мало, но они есть). Ходят в Церкви. Ходят к лежачим больным и бесплатно за ними ухаживают. Игры же - это сугубо развлечение. Расслабон. Говорить о духовности в контексте игр неуместно.

Its been around 10 years sine RA3 most likely it's not going to happen unless we start a gofundme page because i actually know a large portion of programmers and directors who worked on RA2 and RA3 so we might actually make something work
I can't help but feel a sense of tragedy in this track. Not only for Yuriko as a character in this expansion, but for how it encapsulates C&C's eventual downfall with the forth entry. Practically undermined by the very company that bought out the masterminds behind it as Westwood. Makes you look back on characters that you'll miss from the prior games.
I played through Red Alert 3 a few times, didn't really care for it that much. Wasn't balanced well and the units were really difficult to use. I played the Yuriko expansion a few years after RA3 and I did the same thing as you. I sat there and listened to the music for probably 30 minutes before actually starting the campaign.

+majorduke11 remember all of that are yuriko`s mission exclusive abilites. in game she can only use telekinesis psycho burst and levitation which half of it can be done by yuri as well in RA2 yuri can use levitation mind control and psi blast. considering if yuri had his own campaign where he does the job personally. he would have been as powerful as yuriko in a mission in a yuri campaign.
Unless she gets sniped before getting in range of Natasha. But yeah, Yuri is no match for Yuriko. I doubt he'd be able to grasp into her mind, and then she'd probably break him mentally from all the memories of traumatic experimentation, training, ptsd, etc. Then there's the fact Yuri is completely nonlethal, whereas Yuriko crushes everything in a matter of seconds

Just replaced it with a girl, and a night design since Yuri died. Which brings me to the Yuri Reborned as a school girl in Red Alert 3. It was their purpose but as in RA2 Yuri could not be controled. >_

BTW, apart from Natasha you can hard counter her with a Spy in an IFV. V4 with MIRV warheads can be effective too

True. Yuriko's campaign was something quite new for a C&C game. Weird at first, but it was quite refreshing to play. The Empire of the Rising Sun's final campaign was awesome though. Hitting on the soviets with 3 giga-fortress.

Fun fact: I accidentally bought Red Alert 3: Uprising thinking it was the original Red Alert 3 and it was my first Red Alert game… it was beautiful for being the last great Commander and Conquer game.

From the multitude of Ra2 Vids, It's usually Soviets Rhino Tank rushing, you know balance is shyt when only basic tanks are viable especially as Soviet.
That strategy is completely impractical to pull off in a real game. It's too expensive and takes too long to get all the necessary tech, and then wait for the iron curtain to charge. You'll be dead long before then.
Yea pretty much setting aside the great rts experience, C&C gave us live action acting and superb music themes. It definetly sucks balls that Electronic Farts killed the franchise. Can you believe that they reduced the C&C sequel into a crappy mobile game?

I really like this song. It has that ambient feeling that Yoshiro's Empire still exists (eventhough Yoshiro comitted suicide in RA3 as the Allies defeated the Empire at Tokyo). Absolutely. I always prefer to rush up the tech tree as fast as possible and I think the Empire caters to that the best with Wave Force Tanks. And in Uprising, the Giga Fortress of course. It's such an incredible weapon.
RA3 is a comedy... But it is a very good comedy with great game play. And when it come to music it is just epic. Not only Empire of the Rising Sun have great music, but also USSR and Allies. But still Empire has the best, and this Yuriko's theme is just a proof for that :)

True. Yuriko's campaign was something quite new for a C&C game. Weird at first, but it was quite refreshing to play.
The Empire of the Rising Sun's final campaign was awesome though. Hitting on the soviets with 3 giga-fortress.

-ERA: RA1 was on the 50's, 2 on the 70's, and 3 on the 80's. Would they go back in time? Or continue towards the future?

Fun fact: I accidentally bought Red Alert 3: Uprising thinking it was the original Red Alert 3 and it was my first Red Alert game… it was beautiful for being the last great Commander and Conquer game.
@Armedrainbow it was inspired by it the all that devs new about japan they got from anime so they somehow got it right acualy all units are inspired by anime like giga fortress (code geass), jets that transfroms into machine gun armed ground units (macross franchise), etc
funny when people harp on about Ra3 being worse than Ra2 Yr, they forget just bad Yr balance was, online, it was a one faction rps, yuri was considered massively op and soviets were near unless unless you rush.
Ra3 is not as good as ra2 in terms of story, but it light years ahead of it in balance and MP, there is no competition.

Soviet had the option of filling up flak tracks with soldiers who Ivan had put dynamite on, and then rush it into the enemy base (during iron curtain invulnerabillty)

From the multitude of Ra2 Vids, It's usually Soviets Rhino Tank rushing, you know balance is shyt when only basic tanks are viable especially as Soviet.
That strategy is completely impractical to pull off in a real game. It's too expensive and takes too long to get all the necessary tech, and then wait for the iron curtain to charge. You'll be dead long before then.

Yea pretty much setting aside the great rts experience, C&C gave us live action acting and superb music themes. It definetly sucks balls that Electronic Farts killed the franchise. Can you believe that they reduced the C&C sequel into a crappy mobile game?

I really like this song. It has that ambient feeling that Yoshiro's Empire still exists (eventhough Yoshiro comitted suicide in RA3 as the Allies defeated the Empire at Tokyo). Though I would like to have some of the music from Uprising to be available for I-Tunes (as I have the RA3 album downloaded from there).

Absolutely. I always prefer to rush up the tech tree as fast as possible and I think the Empire caters to that the best with Wave Force Tanks.
And in Uprising, the Giga Fortress of course. It's such an incredible weapon.

RA3 is a comedy... But it is a very good comedy with great game play. And when it come to music it is just epic. Not only Empire of the Rising Sun have great music, but also USSR and Allies. But still Empire has the best, and this Yuriko's theme is just a proof for that :)
