I read somewhere that you are in quarantine in France. I hope everything's ok in these dire circumstances... I was watching this video again and it is so useful! When things are better (just a suggestion) you could do the opposite - real chinese greetings... that would be awesome! Again, I really hope you are doing ok! By the way where do you live in France? I lived in La Rochelle for 2 years! And thanks a lot for your videos!

'liked' Thank you for the video. Although I knew some of the alternatives, I had not realized that we shouldn't say 'zai jian' to people whom we see daily. I learned some new ways also. 👍
I can think of another one, although I don't know if it is used in Taiwan. *Hui tou jian* . Or perhaps this is said when you are going to see the person again in a short duration (for example, on the same day).
If you say something like 'wo xian zou le' to a friend or coworker, and you are going to see them again
    1. In the evening,
    Or
    2. tomorrow
    Then would they say
    1. Wan Shang Jian
    2. Ming tian Jian
Or would they say something else?
    Thank you

Josselin Clairet 可以喔😊BUT it really depends on the context. We use 喔o for informing someone a new information or to soften the tones, or sounds more cheerful For example 可以喔 keyi o will be more cheerful than 可以. However, 可以啦, with la. Here shows your lack of patience;) Hope it helps! Just observe how the locals use it and watch lots of Taiwanese dramas. You’ll get the hang of it soon.

When my now wife and I used to text each other she would always sign off with 881. And I always wondered why is she saying 881? It was very strange. So I would just sign off 881 also thinking it was some sort of secret message. I really laughed when I found out that 881 sounds like bye-bye in Mandarin.
