Having watched this video last week my family felt well able for this 'easy' climb during our visit to Dingle this week. The views are certainly spectacular and most of the route is easy enough on well established paths...but about a quarter of it requires some pretty serious scrambling: on all fours, climbing over rocks...and it would be treacherous if very wet which it often is in these mountains. We were well able for it but the video gives no indication of the amount of climbing required and we were glad that we brought our walking poles with us...so I post this just as a warning to anyone who might interpret 'easy' to mean that it is a straightforward path walk. By all accounts approaching Brandon from the other side following the traditional pilgrimage route is a much easier walk to the top. So maybe check that out before committing to this climb.
Totally agree ... i done it yesterday and the weather was unbelievably bad and it was no easy climb ..please think before climbing this mountain because if you don't take it seriously it might take your life
I'm not used to climbing but normally go walking for 2 or 3 hours. I'm thinking about climbing Mount Brandon, but perhaps the western way, starting at ballybrack, is easier, isn't it?
Great video but as someone who did this last year - its misleading and downright dangerous to rate this as `easy` it may be easy for Seasoned hillwalkers and hikers but someone watching this who is not, will interpret this as easy and be in for a shock - moderate to difficult would be a more accurate description of this hike

the 'scrambling' bit is not shown on this video though it's referred to. It's no walk in the park :)
Great video and narration. What an impressive lump of a hill. A brilliant day...

the western approach is indeed way easier - - just following the stations of the cross all the way up, good path, no tricky bits
search through this channel, i have ten mountains done in the same style of video. Enjoy!
Thanks,
