- Went to Rattlesnake lake over in King County to try for some kayak fishing. A nice lake that's located pretty close to Seattle, and a good spot for fly fishing close by the city. Let me know what your go to gears are for this lake. Hope you guys enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!

Time right on the fly rod. It's been years for me to fish that lake but the old deadly combo was a gang troll with about 8-14 inch leader to a small black fly. I recall 50 fish plus nights up there on that. The other was a 50 50 dock nite
Great video!
I like to troll with a 4” dodger in front of a fly or hoochie or spinner. The dodger will attract the fish with the vibration and flash and also impart a nice action on the lure. I had 2 awesome days out there at rattlesnake this year 🐍
Mag Lip 2.0 no weight. Best time is after stocking. Learn to shy away from tons of gear/flash for these small planters. Fish UL rods, lighter line and feel the fight.
Will give this a try next time. Thanks!
Hint on the fly rod: a friend of mine uses a 3 weight rod with a sinking line; just lets the line out and very slowly trolls and/or retrieves with slow twitches. He fishes for catch and release, and knocks the daylights out of them with wet flies.
Thanks for the tips! I'll give that a shoot next time there.
