I think that you have a beautiful heart and soul, and that Otto loves you because he knows what an awesome, loving partner he has. You are both lucky to have each other.
Just finished watching. Elli and Otto many congratulations on your epic achievement. You've managed to capture the essence of Hiking and all the emotions that go with it. Your both a true inspiration and have certainly inspired me to Hike the length of Britain next year. I wish you the very best in your future adventures. Thank you so much. A fellow Hiker, Mark.
I enjoyed your whole trip. Indeed you and Otto have every reason to be proud of your accomplishment. You should never doubt your bravery, pluck or your determination to accomplish great things.
Just watched this last video Elli 🤩 You are an incredible human being who has achieved so much. Huge inspiration for others to tackle similar challenges and push themselves. I felt so sad for you being moved on from your camping spot - a young lady and a small dog in a tiny tent after sunset for just one short night - I felt it was very unkind. I hope you’re now enjoying an extended rest and thinking about what next for you. If you return to the UK and are ever in the Wiltshire area..feel free to get in touch. You’re more than welcome to stay at ours; have some food, shower and bed for the night. Thank you for sharing your journey. Take good care xx
Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words and your support :) Thank you for following our adventure and also for the kind offer :) Will definitely keep that in mind and it really means a lot! 😊
This is my first comment, but I have watched all the videos since I got back from my own long hike in early October. I'm so impressed: neither you nor Otto look it, but you're both as tough as nails. I've walked a lot of these trails (but not all at once!), so you brought back memories for me. Thanks for keeping me entertained time after time. Usually, I don't stick with trail series; but you come over so charming, smart, and genuine. In this many videos, there's no hiding place; but your character was never in doubt. Thank you, Elli; and good luck for the future.
Aww..... your comment honestly made my day!!! Thank you so much for the kind and encouraging words and the lovely feedback! That means so much and I really appreciate you following along. Thank you 😍
Elli and Otto We have been with you since day one. What a wonderful ending. You have travelled so far both literally and metaphorically. As fellow long distance hikers we can empathise with what you have been through. You and Otto have every right to be so proud of what you have achieved. You have made two old hikers very happy watching your adventure. We hope to see you in your new adventures soon.
No way that you’ve followed since our first episodes! That’s amazing, thank you so so much for the kind words :) I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed the videos. Will keep them coming as Otto and I already went on a few new adventures that I still need to edit :)
Elly you're a champ! Scared, hungry, or hurting, you keep going. You delight in the beauty around you, the companionship of your steadfast furry friend, and the deliciousness of coffee. Altogether a pleasure to watch and be inspired by. Thanks so much for making and sharing these videos. P.S. Nobody ever used the word shit to better effect. Cracked me up! 😂😘😘
You are an inspiration , keep going we love watching you and Otto what a fabulous life you are giving your dog.Looking forward to your next adventure 😊
Elli bin sehr stolz auf dich und Otto, ihr habt die Tour souverän bis zum Lizardpoint geschafft - 2600 km. Tolle Videos, wunderschöne Landschaftsfotos. Und am Ende war ich selbst noch dabei. Danke❤
Congratulations! We will miss having you and Otto brightening our lives. We have really enjoyed following you both. Good luck in your future adventures. Raymond and Jane.😀😀
Thank you so much :) We won't be gone for long (or rather not at all :)) as we've already been on a couple of new adventures that just need editing :) Thank you for following our adventure, that means so much :)
Hi Elli. It brought tears to my eyes to see you and Otto finish the JoGLE. Very emotional. I'm so glad you enjoyed our country so much. Good luck for your next hike and take care.
Awww, thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate you following our adventure! The UK is perfect for hiking and almost feels like home. There are so many beautiful places and I’m already planning my next hikes 🇬🇧
🥹 oooh, das freut mich sehr, dass ich die Emotionen in dem Moment durch das Video rüberbringen konnte. Lieben Dank fürs Folgen, das freut mich riesig ☺️😍
Well done Elli and Otto ! I've loved following along, you are so right about the simplicity of life on the trail even with all the challenges along the way. Just the knowledge that your only goal is to keep walking and nothing else matters makes is such a meditative experience. Well done on choosing to put your life before your work - that's the right way to approach it. Being able to work just enough so that I can afford to do more trail walking would be nice. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next.
Thank you so so much for your kind words and the encouragement! I'm really happy with the decision I made, it really was the right thing to do for me. Thank you for following along, I really appreciate that :)
Congrats, Elli, on a job well done. Im sure your family is very proud of you, and you should be proud of yourself. Thank you for sharing your adventures, and give Otto a smooch and a hug. Look forward to future interactions. Stay safe.😉
🎉🎊🎈 The fact you did Dunnet Head to Lizard Point says everything about the way you organised this, Elli. That's the true end-to-end traverse. Lands End looked like a dump. Happy that I've never been, and never will.
Hahaha, yes, I tend to plan a lot when it comes to routes, hikes etc. :) as I’ve been to both places before on our SWCP thru-hike I just knew that I wanted to finish at the Lizard. And if you’re finishing at the southernmost point, it’s only obvious to start at the northernmost point too I think :) thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement :)
Hi, Elli and Otto! My partner Wendy and I have followed you all the way from Dunnet Head and have really enjoyed the journey. We’re both life-long long distance walkers so everything you said in this final episode rang true with us. It’s great to see you engaging with life so thoroughly, and we look forward to tuning in to your next adventure, wherever that might be.
Awww, thank you so much for following along all this time! That’s truly special and I appreciate your support and feedback to this last episode. It’s crazy to end a long-distance hike, isn’t it? We already been on a few smaller adventures that I still need to edit :)
What are your plans for the next big walk? We did the length of the Pyrenees a couple of years ago and it was great. Oh, and how’s Otto settling in to civilian life?
The Pyrenees are definitely on my list too :) did you walk the GR10 or GR11? I'm currently planning my next hikes, I'm doing the C2C and the Cumbria Way but am also thinking about the Snowdonia Way and I'm also doing a section of the camino Via de la Plata :)
We did our own version of the GR11, which bypassed most of the more scary bits (and possibly Otto-unfriendly bits). The weather is generally better on the Spanish side (although the weather in the Pyrenees has gone crazy in recent years). The C2C is the best two week hike in the UK, for sure. Our other favourites (that you haven’t already done or mentioned ) are The South Downs Way and the Pembrokeshire (and Ceredigion) coast path. Good luck with whatever you plan - can’t wait to see the videos! Oh, and if you need any information on the GR11, don’t hesitate to ask.
@@PhilMcKelliget will definitely keep that in mind :) thank you so much! We already did the SDW last year but the pembrokeshire coast path is on my list too. I've had the guide book sitting on my shelf for a few years already :)
Congratulations 👏 What an incredibly epic journey and fantastic series of videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed following you in your travels. You have been so impressive with your hiking, strength and perseverance 💪 THANK YOU for carrying the extra load to record and share this with us. THANK YOU for taking the time whilst on the trail to edit and upload your vlogs THANK YOU for taking care of our environment and LNT. THANK YOU for helping clean up other people's trash. THANK YOU for your great videography, editing and balance of commentary and landscape. THANK YOU for your pleasant presentation style and welcoming nature THANK YOU for being a great mum to Otto. You have brought some light into our lives and created inspiration for many people. THANK YOU ❤️
😳😭 awww!! Seriously, how sweet and kind is this comment?! Thank you so much for the lovely words and your feedback! You made my day and I'm so grateful. Thank you for following along, that means so much 😍 I like the thought that Otto and I can brighten someone's day a tiny little bit, that's incredible!!
Well done completing this epic walk 👍🥳💐🎶😄 I just discovered these videos and have really enjoyed watching the Cornish stretches. Now I will start watching from the start in Scotland. Congratulations 🎉
Elli you are an inspiration, you should be so proud of your achievements. Good luck in all that you do. I enjoyed following your progress, 46 episodes just wasn’t enough.
💜💜💜 Beautiful journey and inspiring reflection on your last day, your sense of peace and well being and hopes for your future life of trails. It also speaks to me that you want to seek out more trails in the UK, we often do not recognise the beauty of what is on our very own doorstep.
Thank you so so much for the lovely words 😊 that's so true, it's easy to not recognize the beauty of a place the more you're 'used' to seeing it. The UK is beautiful and there is so much variation which is why I'm always keep coming back 😊🥰
What a great series this has been and I appreciate the time you have put into it. My biggest hike so far is 34 days across the Australian Alps and I could not find the words, then or now, to describe the experience but everything you said resonates with me. Wishing you all the best for future hikes.
Sorry for the very late reply! Thank you so so much for the kind words and the encouragement. That really means so much! Yes, that's so true - it's so hard to put these adventures into words.... which is why it took quite a while for me to edit this! Really glad that you've enjoyed the video ☺️
Congratulations again now you’ve reached lizard point 🎉i had a tear in my eye for you both (happy tears) so pleased for you and Otto what an amazing achievement, have a wee rest if you can 😊 and will be patiently waiting on your next adventure. Thank you for making this video it’s been such a pleasure watching your journey. ❤️🏴
Well done, and I am going to miss you both😢 what an amazing journey for you and Otto. Enjoy life, and I hope to see you both soon....on a new adventure. Take care , a big hug from me to Otto ❤
Wow … just binge watched from Combe Martin to the Lizard and know every step you’ve taken, having completed the SWCP a several times! Love your enthusiasm and energy for the trail life. Walk eat sleep, repeat 😂😂 Love that simple life 👍 so well done Following 👍
Aww, so happy that you found your way to the channel and that you've enjoyed the videos! That means so much, I really appreciate you following along! The SWCP will always have a very special place in my heart, it changed so much for me.
Found your channel a few days ago and have just finished watching this series. Congratulations to both you and Otto on completing such an epic challenge. Really enjoyed the whole series and looking forward to whatever challenges you decide do next.
Congratulations and well done Ellie loved all the videos as the old saying goes as one door closes another one opens so whatever your next adventure I hope it’s epic also enjoy your rest you deserve it
Absolutely fantastic video, you should be so proud of your epic journey. Well done on completing it🎉. I’m now a bit lost on what to watch as I’ve been waiting to see your journey. I hope you continue to make these great videos after resting your feet for a while. Enjoy and congratulations 👏

I've just finished watching your adventure - huge congratulations to you and Otto for your amazing achievement. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post these vids, there are some really inspiring moments in them. And great to show the hard moments too. I'm looking forward to following your future hikes, good luck with the planning!
Congratulations to both of yous👍 Been following watching for Inspiration as I have a Jack Russell pup. He is still just 14 months old and have had him out a few overnight camps here in Scotland. Can't wait to start building him up and getting him out for bigger multi day trips.
Just to say what an achievement Ellie and Otto ,,your a amazing lady ,,goddess you ,,you deserve a long long rest ,,brilliant have no other words to sum your adventure up ,,take care Stewart Wiltshire,,just finished myself 228 miles off the SWPATH back next year to complete 👍👍⛺️❤️
Hi Elli, I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey with Otto! You are such a brave and inspiring woman and deserve to be proud of yourself. The last moment of this video made me cry as well ;) you and Otto are so connected and nothing is impossible for you guys! I’ll look forward to seeing your next adventure as well. Big congratulations from Japan. Hitomi 😊
Thank you so much, Hitomi for following along for such a long time already, that really means the world and I can’t believe that you’re watching my videos from the other side of the world 😳😊 thank you!!
Glad I found your channel. Just to say I have loved watching your travels on JOGLE. Whatever you decide to do next be assured you will have inspired and entertained many many people who have been travelling vicariously with you. Live now not later - the best advice. I look forward to your next adventure with Otto. Best wishes for the future and I hope you find your way.
So great to see your beaming smile at the end of your long and strenuous walk. You made it ! together with Otto the wonderdog!! Amazing achievement from you both, congratulations 🎉 I am really looking forward to next adventure from the dynamic duo,Elli&Otto😀 Have a rest and take care💜
Congratulations, Ellie! I have followed you all along your amazing journey, and I was so emotional to see you and Otto complete it. My husband and I walked the West Highland Way in April, and I have often wondered if we just missed meeting you and Otto somewhere along the way. I have loved following your epic journey and I can’t wait to see what you and Otto take on next! Best wishes!
Aww, that's incredible that you followed our adventure all that time 😍 Thank you so much for your kind words and your support - that means the world! I think we might just have missed each other on the WHW... I think I started it in Fort William around April 30th :)
Very well done Elli! Except to these wonderful videos of the different British landscapes the really strong sporting performance also must be mentioned. And the little "Black", this brave companion deserves high recognition and respect as well. It’s often said: “The way is the destination” but I would say more „the destination ist the end of your way“ which you’ve taken or wich lies in front of you. In this sense „hiking“ represents life. Our life is like an unmarked way and we - as we progress along this way - we set the signposts and determine the direction. It is the footstep of the hiker that determine the path and when you look back at the path you have passed, you will see this path on which you never will and can set your foot again, or how Antonio Marchado has said: CAMINANTE NO HAY CAMINO Caminante, son tus huellas el camino y nada más; Caminante, no hay camino, se hace camino al andar. Al andar se hace el camino, y al volver la vista atrás se ve la senda que nunca se ha de volver a pisar. Caminante no hay camino sino estelas en la mar.
What an ending to a big adventure. Thank you two for sharing it with us. I realy enjoyed following the journey, you are an inspiration, see you on the next one😊
Congratulations to this great achievement to you and Otto! 🎉🤩🤩👌 It was wonderful to follow you both here and be part of your trip! Thank you so much for all these fantastic videos and great views over the landscape of Great Britain. 🙏❤ I am really looking forward to follow you both on your next adventures ! 😃
Awww thank you so much 🥰 thank for following our adventure and for the lovely and encouraging words, that means so much :) the UK is such a great place for hiking!!
Well done Elli! I know I'm a bit late in congratulating you on your splendid achievement; I'm still enjoying your videos in their proper sequence but at the moment I'm just starting the SW Coastal Path so I've jumped to the end. I wanted to add my compliments in at least the same year that you finished, even if not in the same month! You have done brilliantly and should feel really proud of yourself. And Otto too of course, he is amazing - he just keeps going! As do you, even though you might be wet through, in pain, forcing your way through a path overgrown with nettles or having your equipment stolen. 1600 miles is a long way by anyone's standards. It's not far short of the Appalachian trial (2160m) and even the the Pacific Crest trail is "only" 2653m so just over half as far again. (At least the UK doesn't have bears wanting to eat your food, or you.) So there probably aren't many trails in the world that you couldn't do if you wanted to. You say you want to: "make a living out of my passion for being outdoors, hiking and creating videos..." Your hike has been a real tour de force, after this you don't have to prove anything to anyone. I really hope you can get the sums to add up so you can make it financially viable, with your massive determination I'm sure you will! Best wishes for your next project, whatever that will be, and I hope you will be taking all of us along with you. Meanwhile, I'll get back to the SW Coastal Path...
Thank you so much, Nick! The lovely and encouraging words mean so much and your comment made my day :) I really appreciate you following along from the beginning, that's really special! I have a lot of adventures already planned for 2024 and will definitely continue making videos. As I've always been interested in photography and like to work on creative things, so I really enjoy making videos and slowly getting better. So will definitely keep them coming ;) Thank you so much for your support on Ko-fi too, that helped so much and I'm very grateful! Happy Holidays :)
So happy for yours and Otto’s accomplishments on this amazing journey Ms Elli😃 Will be here anxiously awaiting your next adventures. Thank you so much for sharing, take care, keep safe and see you soon👍🏻🙏🏻😃😊
Elli and Otto absolutely awesome, what an truly amazing achievement. Everything in this video truly makes sense in your words and all you both been through , your smile and excitement is so lovely to see and you found yourself. Wishing you a very adventurous future young lady don't stop the world has a place for you both ❤
Thank you so much Chris for your kind words and for brightening up my days with your comments and encouragement! That means so much and I’m very grateful :)
Wow, what a series. The emotional & physical highs & lows of a solo(+1) backpacker, from one far corner of mainland Britain to another. Thoroughly enjoyed following you along your way & looked forward to each episode. An exceptional achievement. Well done to you both.
Many congratulations Elli (& Otto) for completing an epic hike. Thank you for sharing some of the best countryside we have here in Britain. Great camera shots and commentary. You’ve shown us and witnessed the best and some of the worst we have to offer, the weather (which is why we keep going on about it) and people. An impressive journey and I’ve enjoyed following you from start to finish and look forward to sharing your future adventures. Look after the foot and broken finger. I’m sure once you’ve rested up the next trip will be just as inspiring. Good luck with whatever follows. Take care and thank you 😊
Thank you so so much for your continued support and your lovely words! They really mean so much and I really appreciate you following along. Thank you!!
Its been brilliant watching you and Otto travel from Dunnet head to the Lizard ,not missed a episode its been a amazing journey for both of you and will look forward to your further adventures.
Bl@@dy Good Show Elli ! I did Jogle on the bicycle a few years ago and your journey reminded me of some great memories. I have a Flensburg to Obertsdorf bicycle tour mapped out in my GPS planner; maybe 2024 should be the year for that. Good Luck with whatever you take on next.
Aww, thank you so much! That really means a lot, thank your for following along :) your cycle project sounds incredible, that’s such a great way to see a country :)
Hi, I have watched from your training day for your equipment, I wasn't sure how you was going to do. Things started off well and then problem with your feet, I dont know if i commented on this or my other channel about giving time for your feet to rest and then start again and you did and dispite the pain you carried on and walked your way past the feet issue and began to blossom and your confidence got better and you began to walk more easily dispite our changable weather. I will miss your up beat attitude and the checky way you stuck your tongue out under your teeth. Well done for completing an epic jorney cant wait for next one. Otto with his legs must have felt he walked three or four times the distance, well done to him aswell. VERY WELL DONE.
Thank you so much for the lovely words and your support from the beginning! That means more than you’ll ever know :) thank you for following along, I’ll keep the videos coming :)
I have said it before but Wow you are amazing and so is Elli Hehe. Only joking Elli, The strength of mind it takes to do a journey like this takes a special kind of Person and Dog. I have loved watching every one of your videos and cheered you both on from the sidelines and the water! (Very Proud of you both) I can not wait to see what you both get up to next. As always take care. 🤪✌
Congratulations elli and otto what a amazing achievement its been a absolute pleasure to watch your your videos hope you can carry on doing what makes you feel free will be a avid viewer if you carry on making RUclips videos brilliant do it while you can 👍
Thank you so much, your kind words really mean a lot :) will definitely keep making new videos, Otto and I have already been on a few hikes again! Thank you for following along :)
Hi Elli. I’m missing watching yours and Otto’s JOGLE adventure as my weekly routine 😂 I was wondering if you possibly had the itinerary mapped out? (I commented on an earlier video, but I can’t find it now) I am planning our own trip and would love to go the same route as you through Scotland. Thanks 🙏
Aww the sign your bf made was so sweet! Well done Elli and Otto! An incredible achievement 🎉 you have definitely inspired me to do a long distance walking trip. I feel the same, I don’t belong in modern society, I want to live outside with a simple life haha ❤
Thank you for sharing your fantastic videos Elli and congrats to you and Otto on completing your epic hike. I picked up the journey as you reached the SWCP but am now starting from the beginning. What made you do the additional section to Lizard? It is a beautiful bit but I would have thought reaching Land's End would have triggered thoughts of going home. Is it a thing Lejogers do or just you?
Aww, thank you so much for the kind words - I'm really happy that you're enjoying the videos :) As I've hiked the SWCP before I already knew both places (LE and Lizard Point) and I enjoyed Lizard Point a lot more because it's more quiet and peaceful. Just more special in my opinion which is why I wanted to finish there instead of in between the crowds at Land's End :)
@ellihikes agree about LE. Originally Cape Cornwall was thought to be the most westerly point until they got a bit more accurate. I far prefer Cape Cornwall or Lizard to LE which is over-comnercialised in a very unpleasant way. You need a different name for your walk though - Jogleliz? or maybe JoglElliz!
Wow so krass einfach, was ihr zwei geschafft habt.
I was too slow to make a last comment during the live chat😅: Thank you so much for watching! And for everything :)
I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say your welcome it was a pleasure to watch, and a little sad.
Classic collection of videos I'm going to watch the whole adventure all over again brilliant hurry up back young lady
Awww, thank you so much :) thank you for following along that means so much :)
My wife and I have just binge watched the entire series. What an awesome achievement by you and Otto. Well done is a massive understatement!

Congratulations to both you and Otto, what an achievement 😜

💜💜💜 Beautiful journey and inspiring reflection on your last day, your sense of peace and well being and hopes for your future life of trails. It also speaks to me that you want to seek out more trails in the UK, we often do not recognise the beauty of what is on our very own doorstep.
Thank you so so much for the lovely words 😊 that's so true, it's easy to not recognize the beauty of a place the more you're 'used' to seeing it. The UK is beautiful and there is so much variation which is why I'm always keep coming back 😊🥰
Live your life Elli .Follow your dreams .❤

My husband and I walked the West Highland Way in April, and I have often wondered if we just missed meeting you and Otto somewhere along the way. I have loved following your epic journey and I can’t wait to see what you and Otto take on next! Best wishes!
Aww, that's incredible that you followed our adventure all that time 😍 Thank you so much for your kind words and your support - that means the world! I think we might just have missed each other on the WHW... I think I started it in Fort William around April 30th :)
Ah, yes, we were a little earlier. We walked it northbound and finished in Fort William on the 22nd. 🥰
Well done, fantastic achievement.
Aww, thank you so much :)
Well done, tremendous effort.
Thank you so much :)
Well done. What an adventure.
Thank you so much :)
It is the footstep of the hiker that determine the path and when you look back at the path you have passed, you will see this path on which you never will and can set your foot again, or how Antonio Marchado has said:
CAMINANTE NO HAY CAMINO
Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante no hay camino
sino estelas en la mar.
😊😍
What an ending to a big adventure. Thank you two for sharing it with us. I realy enjoyed following the journey, you are an inspiration, see you on the next one😊
Thank you so much for following along, I really appreciate it :)

There is OK.
There is good.
There is amazing.
Then there is Elli.
🥺 aww…. Thank you for following our adventure :)
Yippee!
:)

Bravo 🎉💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you ☺️
Such an epic adventure!
Thank you!!

That’s incredible that you’ve watched all our videos! Thank you for following along and supporting our adventure, that means so much 😊
Bl@@dy Good Show Elli !
Wonderful adventure, thankyou Ellie, glad you enjoyed your time in the UK and well done! Looking forward to the next one! x
Thank you so much for following along. That means so much :)
Your Welcome Good luck@@ellihikes
I have said it before but Wow you are amazing and so is Elli Hehe. Only joking Elli, The strength of mind it takes to do a journey like this takes a special kind of Person and Dog. I have loved watching every one of your videos and cheered you both on from the sidelines and the water! (Very Proud of you both)
I can not wait to see what you both get up to next.
As always take care. 🤪✌
Thank you so much for following along all this time. That’s so special and I’m very very grateful! Thank you for kind words and the encouragement :)
Thanks 🙏
Yes, of course! I can send you the document if you want to :) Just send me an email to hallo[at]ellihikes.de so that I know where to send it :)
Aww the sign your bf made was so sweet! Well done Elli and Otto! An incredible achievement 🎉 you have definitely inspired me to do a long distance walking trip. I feel the same, I don’t belong in modern society, I want to live outside with a simple life haha ❤
@@oceanittes3464 aww, thank you so much for the kind words! That really means so much and I'm so happy to hear that 😊😇
Thank you for sharing your fantastic videos Elli and congrats to you and Otto on completing your epic hike.
So true, I looooove Cape Cornwall :) as JoGLE is so well known I opted for that as the title but you’re right, it was rather an End-to-End hike :)
Meant to say Godbless Ellie Stewart Wiltshire 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Wow so krass einfach, was ihr zwei geschafft habt.
👏👌🙏🐾👊😁💖🥰😘
