This is actually a good idea. Many of my classmates got dehydrated during finals week from forgetting to drink water. This would save a lot of college students from ER trips.
So you think someone who forgets to drink water; the very thing that keeps them alive, and we literally have a total-body warning system to remind us of, is going to remember to charge and carry a little device with them at all times?
if your classmates are spending time in ER because they forget to drink, i recommend they leave Study because obviously they seem a bit dim, in my day you could study , drink water, drink beer, eat, breath do all kinda things.
Is it actually 'Food Safe', because it needs to be. Imagine when the contents of that little thing (eg. battery...) start leeching into the water you want to drink. It looks like a contamination/infection nightmare too - imagine trying to clean it properly, especially if using organic liquids (milk)? If people need to remember to bring their little puck, they can remember to drink. A stupid use of technology.
Ge Gwen ; um “sanitation issues” were the whole reason Jenny was out. She made it her mission to make a scene out of it. If you’ve gotten to the point where you can’t clean this simple little device with soap and water, then you’re clearly misusing it anyway. It was designed, first and foremost, to be placed in water.
Seems like a potential choking hazard too. I can see someone in a mad rush trying to chug their glass of water before exiting the house and having this thing slide down their throat.
Hunter Herr ; really? They can track exactly how much water as you’re drinking it? Or do they rely on manual input & honor system and actually remembering to use them?
@@milannoelle1576 i suppose not. This works for that, provided you carry that puck around and manually place it in every water source you drink from. That is, assuming you remember to do so.
Hunter Herr ; lmao y’all are trying so hard to make this invention an inconvenience There’s no “carrying it around everywhere.” It goes in your bottle at the top of the day and then that’s the end of it. It’s not a cell phone you have to keep track of throughout the day. And if you DO switch it out into a glass or something, then guess what? Plop! In the glass! Oh my god, it’s so simple a caveman could do it. If you forget to remove the giant, rattling puck from your water bottle when switching to a glass then bby that sounds like a “you” problem.
@@milannoelle1576 cavemen also remembered to drink when they were thirsty. If you require a constant reminder, then that's a YOU problem. Also, carrying a bottle around all day is a hassle. The "giant rattling puck", as per your own description, wouldn't make that any better. It's really just a useless invention. A solution in search of a problem. Drink when you're thirsty, it really is that simple.
Peter: I'm out. (Takes a sip from his glass). Quietly wishes there were a way to tell if he drank enough water today, but is too embarrassed to admit it.
Its such a bad idea. With very clever marketing they might be able to sell a few but people will not use it and they certainly wont change this thing from drink to drink. Antone sho wants to up their water intake just needs to be conscious of it and it will go up. He created a product for himself. He was om skme stupid diet that required him to drink 5 to 6 litres of water a day. Nobody else is going to drink those volumes. Also people interpret water to mean untainted bottled water. Truth is h20 in any form counts. Tea, coffee, soft drink, juice, soup, ice lollys all count towards your hydration.
There technically is no specific “recommended amount of water.” Everyone I’ve talked to says this. Just drink the amount of water you need until you don’t feel thirsty anymore.
I’m surprised they didn’t touch on the most concerning thing about this product, it can very easily be a choking hazard. That thing can slide down the glass into the persons mouth and or throat then you’d just get lawsuit after lawsuit.
@@ch4z_bucks right but it could happen and if enough people bought this product there would be cases of it happening. Lots of recalled products are recalled cause of a certain number of people being hurt or dying from them like lawn darts, easy bake ovens and sky dancers are key examples.
I don’t know, it’s pretty big. It’s more likely to slap you in the face than slide down your throat, especially since most of the time you would be drinking mindfully specifically because this very device has just reminded you to take a sip.
I think the large size of it would bother me. having this device clanking about in the bottom of my bottle then coming toward my face whenever I go to take a drink out of a glass isn't appealing
I totally agree with Jenny about the inconvenience of having to pop the thing in and out of bottles and glasses, etc. I think it’s silly and if I was forgetting to drink, i would probably also be losing the water alarm thing everywhere.
I don’t think anyone realizes that getting this thing in your mouth and the risk of potentially choking is present, ESPECIALLY for those in this demographic
@@ladyreverie7027 i know people on the severe end of the spectrum usually have caretakers around them anyway so if they aren't getting water that would be pretty messed up. people that are in early dementia likely wouldn't know they have a problem yet so i think this thing actually helping would be pretty slim. but some people that have dementia do use phones and stuff, i'm just not sure about those in homes where they get medical care that aren't just their family.
The one thing i really think they were missing here is how this could really help people with memory loss or dementia type illnesses. I know my mam is only at the start of dementia yet i have to make sure she has a drink by her or she'll forget to drink then suffer horrible headaches (my dad don't have dementia but is 73 and he's worse than my mother for drinking) they only reason they are hydrated most of the time is because i'm hear to care for them and make sure they drink at least twice between each meal otherwise it would only be three/four times a day !!, so if someone is living on there own this could be a really great thing. I would also say that this could be really helpful for young people when they are studying because all to often i saw my nieces/nephews suffer headaches and breakouts and everyone thought it was stress but when i ask how much they were drinking it was hardly anything less that a 500ml bottle in a four/five hour period of studying.
Yes Deborah, water keeps us alive. But you’re 65 or so and have acquired wisdom over the years. You would be surprised how many (younger) people do not care for themselves like they should.
Looking at the reviews for this on Amazon.UK in 202, I notice two things" 1. It ONLY works with Apple products. 2. The iOS device has to be withing BT range. So when the working parent drops of the kid, it isn't actually capable of reporting back to the parent unless the parent leaves a dedicated and charged iOS device with the child.
He should have mentioned that our brains don’t inform us of thirst until you are already severely dehydrated. We should be drinking 1 gallon of water a day for optimum body performance.
I have actually literally died several times of dehydration, because I just forgot to drink. Luckily, since buying a product which I forget to put into the stuff I have to drink, I'm still dying, but also paid 35 pounds for a product. In all seriousness though, a lot of people need to drink more water, he's right about that. But this isn't gonna fix it.
I just pour 4x 1L bottles the night before...and make sure I empty them the next day, then re-fill them at night....rinse and repeat... The discipline of drinking enough water per day should come from the person...not a £35 device...
@N M Then you’re prob constantly mildly dehydrated and have proved this would be a good product for you. Once you’re already feeling thirsty your body is in mild dehydration, so being reminded to drink isn’t a bad concept at all.
It should be redesigned to be able to be put in a regular waterbottle/soft drink and have it attached to the top/cap. Maybe add a drinking top to the cap. Then you have two products at the same time, the "pod" doesn't sit in liquid all day and it'll be easier to change from bottle to bottle instead of "fishing it out" as they so kindly put it. Sure, in that case you can't use it for glasses or some kind of bottles that can't have it attached, but if you're not dedicated enough to be able to drink out of a certain container type, you probably aren't dedicated enough to care about how much you drink...
Who would've thought, rich and privileged people don't understand life being so stressful that you forget to drink! This would be brilliant for the elderly, mentally ill, even just workaholics. I can't believe there are so many people who don't understand this, I forget to eat and drink so often on a daily basis.
For someone like me who's constantly on the move and worksout more than 6 times a week I would love something like this. I constantly forget to drink enough water and drinking enough water is so important for me to perform optimally at all times.

I wonder what it tracks. Water volume (impossible to do reliably considering their design - as far as I can see), or number of sips (much easier but pretty useless)?
The more dehydrated you are the less thirsty you get which is why this product makes sense. Most people don't drink as much water as they should in a day. Drinking 3-4 glasses of a water a day is not even close to enough. Sugary/caffeinated drinks like soda, coffee and juices with added sugar don't hydrate you. In fact they can even dehydrate you. Personally, I use the hydratespark smart water bottle to monitor my water drinking. I find it's more practical than the device here

I've been binge watching these and the amount of pitches with water bottles is amazing
So wtf are they doing. Studying without sleep and breaks that they forget to do something as simple as drinking? They also eat right don't they?
I need this device..................but for Whisky
Barko Gaming whisky di bottle
Reading this comment while hanging mad from last night just puts a big smile on my face lol
im afraid you'd swallow device
need to get those 2 litres a day in
I mean that's what those blow devices are for
Is it actually 'Food Safe', because it needs to be.
My thoughts as well as I watched this & was surprised that the question of hygiene was not raised.
There is probably a battery that will need replacing to keep the dummy light on. How water tight is that thing?
Seems like a potential choking hazard too. I can see someone in a mad rush trying to chug their glass of water before exiting the house and having this thing slide down their throat.
The guy was right, the product is aimed at our generation - i know a lot of people who would want it, even if its not for me personally
There are free apps that do the same thing.
Hunter Herr ; lmao y’all are trying so hard to make this invention an inconvenience
There’s no “carrying it around everywhere.” It goes in your bottle at the top of the day and then that’s the end of it.
"You've definitely got something"
Yeah, a choking hazard.
Peter: I'm out. (Takes a sip from his glass). Quietly wishes there were a way to tell if he drank enough water today, but is too embarrassed to admit it.
Putting something with a battery in something we drink?
And how long does said battery last?
🤔
It would be a great technology to let me know if I have imbibed enough water to process the lead paint chips I just ate..
Then the battery leaks into your drink when it breaks and you die of poisoning
Its such a bad idea. With very clever marketing they might be able to sell a few but people will not use it and they certainly wont change this thing from drink to drink. Antone sho wants to up their water intake just needs to be conscious of it and it will go up.
He created a product for himself. He was om skme stupid diet that required him to drink 5 to 6 litres of water a day. Nobody else is going to drink those volumes. Also people interpret water to mean untainted bottled water. Truth is h20 in any form counts. Tea, coffee, soft drink, juice, soup, ice lollys all count towards your hydration.
Simple rule: If you're thirsty and/or your urine isn't clear you're dehydrated and need to drink more water. Send $39.95 for that to....
If your urine is clear you're actually overhydrated
There technically is no specific “recommended amount of water.” Everyone I’ve talked to says this. Just drink the amount of water you need until you don’t feel thirsty anymore.
Tell that to 12 year old me who regularly got migraines and hospitalised because I always forgot to drink

I’m surprised they didn’t touch on the most concerning thing about this product, it can very easily be a choking hazard. That thing can slide down the glass into the persons mouth and or throat then you’d just get lawsuit after lawsuit.
Hey.... I know what I'm doing this weekend... about to be 100 dollars richer....
I don't think so, whilst it can fall out of the bottle, the way most people drink wouldn't leave their mouths open enough for it to go in.
@@ch4z_bucks right but it could happen and if enough people bought this product there would be cases of it happening. Lots of recalled products are recalled cause of a certain number of people being hurt or dying from them like lawn darts, easy bake ovens and sky dancers are key examples.
@@kevindolan9 Exactly, plus it looks extremely dangerous for children, I was shocked Touker suggested it.
I don’t know, it’s pretty big. It’s more likely to slap you in the face than slide down your throat, especially since most of the time you would be drinking mindfully specifically because this very device has just reminded you to take a sip.
"I think, you know where I'm going with this"
The moment Jenny was on screen, we all knew where she was going with this

I know right. Surprised none of the dragon's brought it up.
@@ellessandraramsay1841
It's too big to choke on. I think it was intentionally made that way
How big is your mouth?! And are you single?
I think the large size of it would bother me. having this device clanking about in the bottom of my bottle then coming toward my face whenever I go to take a drink out of a glass isn't appealing
You dont take off the lid of a bottle to drink out of it, unless you’re an absolute cretin.
I’ve been binging these all day and I’ve literally NEVER seen Jenny invest in anything.
I could’ve sworn there was one where she was the only one to invest
No one has...🤣
That splash in the den pun just made me want to face palm so badly 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
It’s ironic that Jenny is talking about “in and out” when the only thing she knows about is being out.
Ever notice when peter speaks about a product and tears it apart other dragons follow his lead.
"Well if peters not investing then im out too.
I totally agree with Jenny about the inconvenience of having to pop the thing in and out of bottles and glasses, etc. I think it’s silly and if I was forgetting to drink, i would probably also be losing the water alarm thing everywhere.
Yes, exactly! I would definitely lose the thing within thirty seconds 😂. Or rather completely forget to drop it into the drinks throughout the day.
And for that reason she’s out
This would be good if it were targeted to old people or dementia patients. The summer is tough
I don’t think anyone realizes that getting this thing in your mouth and the risk of potentially choking is present, ESPECIALLY for those in this demographic
Do dementia patients use apps though
Water is bad for you, only morons drink when they're not thirsty.
And people who do not take care of themselves are going to pay 30 quid for a trinket that assists them in taking care of themselves?
Too right I only drink perrier water, this stuff that comes out the taps is awfully common
Looking at the reviews for this on Amazon.UK in 202, I notice two things"
1. It ONLY works with Apple products.
2. The iOS device has to be withing BT range. So when the working parent drops of the kid, it isn't actually capable of reporting back to the parent unless the parent leaves a dedicated and charged iOS device with the child.
So it sucks even more than I thought? :P
To be fair, only iPhone hipsters would buy it anyways.
Deborah doesn't seem to realise that tea doesn't hydrate you and coffee actively dehydrates you.
Both of those are myths.
Tea and coffee are just flavoured water
They're myths.
Nah, not true.
He should have mentioned that our brains don’t inform us of thirst until you are already severely dehydrated. We should be drinking 1 gallon of water a day for optimum body performance.
Imagine if this guy made this shaped like an ice cube that also cools your drink. Bam, totally changes the game.
Dr Giggles nice!
Actually not a bad idear, there are metal ice cubes used for cooling drinks, just make it a smart ice cube (with no holes in them).

This is every "I have a great idea for an app!" guy.
Jenny: Do you have any free samples of water we can try on top of the free water this show provides me anyway?
It should be redesigned to be able to be put in a regular waterbottle/soft drink and have it attached to the top/cap. Maybe add a drinking top to the cap. Then you have two products at the same time, the "pod" doesn't sit in liquid all day and it'll be easier to change from bottle to bottle instead of "fishing it out" as they so kindly put it.
Sure, in that case you can't use it for glasses or some kind of bottles that can't have it attached, but if you're not dedicated enough to be able to drink out of a certain container type, you probably aren't dedicated enough to care about how much you drink...
Jokes apart Jenny made such an excellent point! Kudos to Jenny.

Who would've thought, rich and privileged people don't understand life being so stressful that you forget to drink! This would be brilliant for the elderly, mentally ill, even just workaholics. I can't believe there are so many people who don't understand this, I forget to eat and drink so often on a daily basis.
Should have put flow lights on it to tell which direction the bubbles are travelling.
if this is just loose in a bottle how does it monitor the flow through it? It would be monitoring flow all the time while the bottle moves!
Imagine having to put that thing in every drink. I’m gonna need a reminder on my phone to bring that shit with me and put it in my drinks anyway.
